Cosy cottage located in the rural setting of Lasswade within 25 minute drive to Edinburgh City Centre. Sleeps up to 4. One double bedroom and a futon style sofa bed that can sleep an additional 2 guests in the sitting room. When linen is required for any guests for the sofa bed this will be charged as an extra. (Please note this is charged on booking). Comfortable sitting room with sofa bed, double bedroom, shower room, kitchen, dining area and private patio herb garden.

We had a wonderful stay. The place was everything we needed—comfortable accommodations, great amenities, and a perfect location. It was just outside the busy area, which gave us a quiet and relaxing setting while still making it very easy to get into and out of town. Ubers were readily available and getting around was effortless.We especially appreciated the cozy feel, separate entrance, and the privacy the property provided. It was also incredibly quiet at night, making it easy to get a great night’s sleep.Overall, a comfortable, convenient, and peaceful place to stay. We would definitely stay here again!

A lovely little cottage, spotlessly clean and the owners Victor & Corina were so friendly, welcoming and helpful with anything we needed.Edinburgh city centre is only a 30 min drive. However, I would strongly recommend getting the train from Eskbank to Edinburgh Waverley (city centre). Eskbank is only a 10 min drive and the train journey is only about 25 mins and at 12 return for 2 adults is brilliant and easy.

Perfect base for a 3 day working trip to Edinburgh, short drive into the centre and a far better option than a hotel, well equipped, beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. lovely comfortable bed and all round lovely property. would certainly book again when back in the area!

Lovely clean property with everything we needed. We were met by Victor, the host, who was busy gardening when we arrived. He was extremely friendly and kindly left us some goodies in the house which were greatly appreciated. We would definitely use this beautiful little property again.

Lovely hideaway in Midlothian

We had a great time in this little cottage, which was close to both nature and the City. We appreciated the on-site laundry. The owners were helpful and check-in was a breeze. We will hopefully be booking again the next time we’re in Scotland.

Our family business is hospitality. We grow produce in our Kitchen Garden that we deliver to our restaurant on a daily basis. The cottage is on the edge of the garden and has its own small herb garden in the private courtyard at the back of the property.

Why they chose this property

The local area is very beautiful. Although we are only 5 miles out of the city centre we are surrounded by the countryside. There are lots of beautiful walks and the famous Roslin Chapel is only a few miles away

What makes this property unique

The cottage was built in the 1870’s but has been refurbished significantly internally. It still holds the charm of a period property but has all the modern essentials you would need.
