Overall, I would give this apartment a 7/10 based on our experience. First, the good things. It’s a pleasant downhill 10-minute walk to the old town (a little longer to come back, walking uphill). There is a small grocery store nearby (3-minute walk). The view from the large balcony is absolutely gorgeous, especially the sunsets. Comfortable living room, big kitchen island, two ensuite bathrooms plus a third bathroom where you’ll find the washing machine. Super easy checkout with nothing else to do but leave the key in the lockbox. Next, the less good. The air conditioning in one of the two bedrooms didn’t work very well and couldn’t cool the room. Communication with Direct Booker, the booking company, was iffy. Some messages got a quick response while others took much longer to be answered. Information was not always clear (ex: we never received check-in instructions, we were asked to provide ID but no one followed up on that). The local host was very helpful in smoothing out these kinks though. Little improvements/additions that could make a big difference: hangers in the bedroom closets; more glasses/cups; a better appointed kitchen (would be tough to cook a meal with the provided equipment); a binder with local information; a toilet paper holder in the ensuite bathrooms; a bath mat in front of the shower to prevent the marble floor from getting very slippery. Would I recommend this place? Probably, because the good outweighs the rest in my opinion.
