Villa Vicilla is a vacation villa rental on the island of Crete in the countryside near Embrosneros, about 14 km from Georgioupolis beach.
Formerly the ruins of an old building, the house has recently been restored. The interiors offer all amenities for guests’ convenience and peace of mind. Villa Vicilla can accommodate up to 4/5 people, and is ideal for a family or two couples.
Outside, there is a private pool for having fun and cooling off on Crete’s hot summer days.
Villa Vicilla’s location is ideal for nature lovers and countryside enthusiasts looking for a relaxing vacation, but is also within reach of Crete’s beautiful beaches and most interesting spots.

Beautiful villa in the middle of the countryside. Had everything we needed for our stay, short drive to nearby village for food etc. 30 min drive to nearby coast. Host was great, easy to contact for any queries. We really loved our stay here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Crete!

An amazing property in the hills of crete with stunning views. The owner was fantastic even when we locked ourselves out of the villa and helped us even though she was at her sisters wedding. Great English as well.

It’s a splendid villa that exceeded our expectations. It’s away from the crowds so after being around tourists all day it’s a welcome reprieve to retire with beautiful views to enjoy. The pool is wonderful touch given how warm the island is. The host is very welcoming and helpful and the villa is complete with everything one would need.

A stunning villa tucked away in the mountains. If you are a couple and want total peace and relaxation this is the place to indulge yourself. The stars at night are incredible as there is zero light pollution. The house is spotless and the kitchen is so well stocked. The owner left us some food upon arrival which was so kind. There is a coal BBQ area to enjoy in the garden. The pool is such a welcome and necessary accessory. Beaches are 20+ minutes drive away and as others have said it is only accessible by car. The owner Chrysa was incredible. We had a problem with our flights and a short planned power cut and Chrysa was available to answer any questions immediately. We are so thankful to her. We will be back.

Unser Aufenthalt in der Villa war einfach traumhaft – in Wirklichkeit ist sie sogar noch schöner als auf den Fotos und hat unsere Erwartungen weit übertroffen. Die Lage ist perfekt: sehr ruhig und erholsam, sodass man wunderbar abschalten kann, aber trotzdem ist man in kurzer Zeit am Strand oder bei tollen Restaurants. Das Haus war makellos sauber und hervorragend ausgestattet – wirklich alles, was man braucht, war vorhanden. Besonders begeistert hat uns die atemberaubende Aussicht, die jeden Morgen und Abend zu etwas Besonderem gemacht hat. Es ist der ideale Ort, um zur Ruhe zu kommen und gleichzeitig die Umgebung zu erkunden. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Absolute Empfehlung!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Die Gastgeber waren sehr herzlich und haben uns sogar traditionelles Essen bereitgestellt. Die Tage dort waren super. Eine super ruhige Umgebung - genau das Richtige, wenn man mal nicht von lauter Touristen umgeben sein möchte. Man ist trotzdem innerhalb von 15/20 Minuten bei einem Strand/Supermarkt/etc. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und hatte alles, was man brauchte. Die Ausstattung in der Küche war super. Das hab ich schon anders erlebt. Wenn wir nochmal auf Kreta in der Nähe sind, kommen wir gerne wieder. Kleiner Geheimtipp: die Sonnenuntergänge über den Dächern. ☺️

Das Haus liegt sehr schön im Hinterland, man hat eine tolle Aussicht und es ist eine ländliche, ruhige Umgebung. Es ist hübsch eingerichtet und man hat alles, was man braucht. Lediglich die Kochutensilien sind sehr basic, wenn man nicht vorhat viel zu kochen aber ausreichend. Wir haben unsere Woche dort sehr genossen und unsere Gastgeberin war sehr aufmerksam, zwei Mal haben wir sogar etwas zu essen bekommen - danke dafür! Wir würden das Haus allerdings nur für ein Paar oder eine kleine Familie empfehlen: es gibt ein zweites Bett, welches sich aber im Wohnzimmer/Durchgangszimmer befindet. Wir würden sehr gerne wieder kommen!

Das Haus und die Gegend entsprach genau dem was wir gesucht haben. Kleines Häuschen mit allem was man benötigt. Kleiner, sehr sauberer Pool für die morgendlichen und abendlichen Erfrischungen. Das gesamte Objekt war in einem sehr guten und sauberen Zustand. Die Gegend absolut ruhig und schön abgelegen aber mit Auto problemlos zu erreichen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr um unser Wohlergehen besorgt und bei Fragen meist per WhatsApp, wurde umgehend reagiert. Wir hatten im Oktober 2024 zwei wunderschöne Wochen hier verbracht und den Westen bis Heraklion täglich erkundet. Jeder Zeit wieder!

Das Haus ist sehr ruhig gelegen. Erholung ist hier gewiss. Allerdings benötigt man hier ein Auto da es sehr abgelegen liegt. Das Haus ist sehr sauber, umfangreich eingerichtet und die Vermieter sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir waren jetzt hier zum 3. Mal. Gerne und bestimmt wieder.

Wir waren in der Villa für 3 Wochen. Es ist eine sehr schöne, bezaubernde und einzigartige Unterkunft. Die Lage ist großartig für alle, die ihre Privatsphäre und Ruhe genießen wollen. Es ist das letzte Haus auf einem Hügel mit grandiosem Weitblick. Hier kann keiner vorbeikommen, der einzige Weg ist der Zuweg zum Haus. Das fanden wir persönlich richtig toll. Die Anfahrt ist etwas abenteuerlich, aber nach ein paar Mal kennt man sich aus. Von hier aus kann man das westliche Kreta gut erkunden und schöne Wanderungen in die Berge und kleinen Dörfer unternehmen. Strand und Städte sind mit dem Auto nicht weit entfernt. Die Ausstattung ist modern, neuwertig und mit voll ausgestatteter Küche, großem Kühlschrank mit Tiefkühler, Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler, TV und starkem WiFi. Der Pool ist eine tolle Ergänzung, haben wir oft und gern zur Erfrischung genutzt. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Die Vermieterin, Chrysa hat uns sehr umsorgt. War immer für uns erreichbar und hat uns mehrmals mit kretischen Köstlichenkeiten und hausgemachtem Essen verwöhnt. Es war ein sehr lieber und herzlicher Kontakt. Wöchentlich wurde das Haus gereinigt inkl. frischer Bettwäsche und frischen Handtüchern. Wir können die Villa auf jeden Fall empfehlen.
