Cottage steps away from private small beach. This cottage has deeded beach rights. Beautiful private back yard w/ deck overlooking the meadows with gorgeous sunsets. Get ready to take a picture, you wont believe how pretty it is! Enjoy the day at the beach which is a minute away by foot. & can be seen from the cottage Take a refreshing shower in the enclosed shower in the private back yard. Tv/ internet available. Full eat in kitchen with stove , refrigerator, grill, with utensils, dishes, glasses, pots/pans etc. This is a quaint cottage with some old charm. Quiet road yet near great restaurants such as Lenny and Joes, Bills Seafood on the marina , The Log Cabin, Lobster Landing and Rockys Aqua. Have to check out Beach Donut Shop it’s a must ! Other attractions include Mystic Aquaruim, Mystic Seaport, Westbrook and Clinton outlets. Mohegan Sun casino. Note: Only outside enclosed shower. 4 cars allowed free parking. New air conditioning/ heat in bedrooms and main living area

Comfortable, clean beach house with amazing marsh backyard and deck!

The property was adorable. Fully equipped. So close to the beach. And so peaceful, with its huge backyard/marsh extending way beyond the property. Owner was easy to communicate with. We had a great time!

Tranquil Cottage

We love the serenity of this cottage. The back deck with its marsh view is a top draw for us (four adults 60+). The large porch area is also a benefit. One member of our group used it as a bedroom and it provides extra space for hanging out, yoga etc. All rooms have new, quiet air conditioning which we occasionally needed since there was a heat wave during our stay. Shore Road is narrow and has no sidewalks however everyone is out walking and drivers are slow and respectful. Our favorite walk is to go into Harbor View, the to the town beach using the path at the end of West Road, then walk Waterside Lane.

Nice views, spacious, well equipped in Clinton

We had an enjoyable 5 night stay in this clean, spacious, rustic and very reasonably priced cottage with marsh views in back and a peek a boo ocean view out front. We were there during a heat wave and greatly appreciated the great job the 3 new mini split ACs did to comfortably and quietly cool the place. Plus, the enclosed porch room had a 4th AC. The place was all around well equiped, including a great tv with good viewing choices. We thought the mattresses could be better and we didn' t really like that the only shower was outside, but we did know from the property listing about the shower situation before we booked.

My Kind Of Vacation

I cannot say enough positive things about our vacation experience at Ann's home in Clinton! The pictures do not do it justice. For a small house, it is quite spacious inside and has lots of room for relaxation as well as a large deck off the back and a small back yard. We cooked most of our meals at the house on the gas stove or large propane grill on the deck. We appreciated the extras like saran wrap and coffee filters. We spent hours watching the ospreys on the nesting platform directly behind the house and visited the rocky beach across the street as well as Clinton Beach 5mins drive away and Hammonasset State Park. The house is in a very quite neighborhood yet 4mins from grocery store and restaurants. Ann was a wonderful host and we hope to vacation here again!

Relaxing Getaway

We loved our stay at this cottage and will look for a vacancy here first when planning our next trip to Connecticut. The host is very thoughtful and the cottage was stocked with everything we might have needed. The property is as described, with several aspects being better than expected: The deck, backyard and marsh view is beautiful. Lush yard, birdsong in the morning, osprey coming and going with fish in their talons... If you are a photographer or bird watcher, bring telephoto lens! The sunroom was also a nice surprise - larger than expected, we used it as a bedroom for one adult, but that only took up a piece of it and there was room left over for scrapbooking and yoga. We cooked a lot of our meals, including doing alot of grilling on the back deck, and the kitchen was stocked with every kind of pot or cooking tool we needed.

Great short escape

Home Away From Home

Perfect getaway for five days. Property was as advertised. Comfortable, well-stocked with beach necessities and house items. Nice touches with beach/summer ornaments and decor throughout. Being back cottage, excellent deck with view of birds within preserve and beach was just 200 feet away across the street. Ideal for what we were looking for this year.

Very nice cottage

The cottage is very nice. It was a short walk to the beach. The patio out back was nice to sit at. Especially with the ocean breeze. I would rent again.

Fantastic beachside getaway

We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the backyard scenery, convenient walk to the beach, easy access to local restaurants and grocery stores, and clean house and amenities. We wish we had booked for a longer stay and we hope to return. Thank you Anne for providing us with a relaxing and fun family getaway.

Perfect little getaway

This was one of the nicest most convenient cottages we have ever rented. The house was so clean, decorated beautifully and well stocked with all the necessities. Our teenage daughters loved the privacy of sleeping on the sun porch, with its two twin beds, and living area. Having the beach across the street was great. Although it was very rocky, we enjoyed the fact that it was a small private area. Some days we were the only people on the beach! The neighborhood was wonderful for morning and evening walks, not much traffic and the people were friendly. Amazing views of the marsh from the back deck. Ann was very helpful and answered our questions promptly. We would certainly return in the future!

Nature at its best!

The view of the marsh from the deck was amazing. So fun to see the baby osprey in the best! Having the beach across the street was convenient and fabulous!!

Perfect for our needs

Ann was so pleasant, anytime I asked a question she answered right away. The cottage is like the Cape cod ones. Shower outdoors. There’s privacy however if it rains it can be inconvenient. We loved it. We loved the fact she accepted pets too. 😀

Perfect place to stay!

Well stocked very clean and comfortable cottage. The views from both the front and back of the cottage made the stay very relaxing. Easy beach access. We were lucky enough to have the beach to ourselves. Anne was extremely helpful in answering any questions. Would definitely recommend.

lovely neat, clean. Enjoyed the back deck with nice evening breezes and beautiful sunsets.

Overall was very nice. Did not like the limited beach space, but fortunately were not too restricted as one of the beach front cottages was not being used. We enjoyed our stay. The children had fun playing games in the back yard. We liked the privacy in the back too. Did have concern about the bee's nest in the tree stump.

Lovely, cozy little cottage.

Several girlfriends met for a weekend here and it was just lovely. The outdoor shower is faaaaabulous and the back deck is wonderful for watching sunsets and the birds. Anne Marie is very nice and accomodating.

Convenient location, spotless cottage, gorgeous views!

The cottage was perfect for a little family getaway! The back deck was the best part...breezy with the shade of a gorgeous tree, beautiful sunsets reflecting in the marsh, and an osprey nest right there (bring your binoculars)! Being right across the street from the beach was also perfect for littles. My husband brought his kayak and had a great time with it. Definitely bring your water shoes, as the beach is rocky. Ann was super friendly and very helpful and accommodating! The only two issues were that the cottage is not really insulated, so the bedrooms were hot during the day and chilly at night (we were lucky with weather). The sun room had AC but it didn't spread well throughout the cottage. Also, the beds were not the most comfortable ever. I would definitely go back!

Great get away!

The cottage was spotless. We loved that the beach was across the street. Loved the back deck looking over marsh. We were able to watch the baby osprey take their 1st flight. It was private and peaceful on the deck too! Really enjoyed our weekend get away. Anne was so accommodating. Thank you!

Cozy cabin with amazing neighbors.

Spent the Fourth of July here we had an wonderful time. The cabin is clean and provides everything you need. All of the neighbors were very welcoming and the family atmosphere on the beach was amazing. The views from the back deck are very relaxing. We enjoyed watching the Ospreys nest with the baby chicks inside it seemed like a stone throws away. We also fell in love with the outdoor shower we are surely going to miss it. Highly recommend this place.

This cottage has been in my family for years. My grandfather has passed it on. I grew up here during the summer months and have fond memories of the beach/area.

Why they chose this property

It has beach rights but also is private on the meadow side. Will give you a taste of beach life without breaking the bank. Relaxing or some down time or heading out for some activities nearby. Note: Only 2 car parking spot

What makes this property unique

Can also be booked during the fall months. A cute cottage with a beachy feel.
