Hedgehog’s View

Absolutely gorgeous accommodation. So well done if you want a quirky different type of accommodation. We were three adults and one child and the accommodation was perfect. Unfortunately we were not able to use the hot tub due to storms, but a lovely addition. The location is stunning: views, highland cows, goats! Just fab for a weekend away and the accommodation feels very private. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful views peaceful location

This was a lovely 2 night stay, the accommodation was excellent, finished to a high standard. The interior design was lovely and it will be one to remember. Lovely location and views, hot tub and bath with a view were a great addition. Very clean and comfortable. Couldn’t get Netflix working but we took games and went for walks so didn’t affect our stay too much. Internet access other than that was fine. Would recommend.

A glorious treat

What an amazing gem of a place to find. We had the most amazing stay. From start to finish customer service and communication was great. Its worth noting customer service is not around on the weekend. Not an issue to us, we were after some wood for a fire but the local hardware shop in Rhayader town sorted us out. Gorgeous little place to visit. If you stay, you must do the reservoir and dam walk, absolutely stunning. Couldn't fault the accommodation at all and the highland cows were so cute!!

Outstanding, relaxing holiday

Turning into the site and immediately the amazing view greets you. It is absolutely fabulous place for a relaxing holiday. Our hobbit house was one of the 6-person pods, even though there was only two of us plus our dog we wanted a bigger living space for our 5-day trip. The condition of the house was lovely, home from home and very clean. Due to the heat wave (we have 35 degrees!!!) we did not venture out to see the sites, except for very early dogs walks either around the site or down by the river in Rhayader (which has a very convenient Coop for any bits you need) but as the views were amazing it was lovely to sit on the settee with the door open looking out at the views. We had a totally relaxing break and will definitely be back.

We had a lovely stay here and it was a very nice and different place to stay

Highly recommend this place for a different kind of stay. The views were absolutely stunning although we went in January the place was warm dry clean tidy and the customer services were outstanding.

Weekend Break

Location and accommodation were fantastic. Hot tub under the stars in the snow was the icing on the cake for a birthday weekend. Just needed a few more kitchen utensils and glassware, my son wanted a pint glass to drink his Guinness

Fantastic for a girl's weekend!

Myself, 4 girlfriends and 2 dogs very much enjoyed our stay at quirky hedgehog view. The outlook from the property onto the Welsh hills was gorgeous, and the hot tub was lovely. There are curious goats on the surrounding fields that visited us. The baby goats were very sweet! Thank you to Gemma for hosting us at Hedgehog view. She was on hand with a contact number for an emergency vet, when on of our dogs had eaten something he shouldn't have!

Fantastic stay

Hedgehog View was the perfect place for our girls weekend, the views are fantastic, as was the hot tub and we enjoyed a brief visit from the goats! The house is cozy and well equipped and the location was perfect for walks such as Elan Valley and Hafren Forest. Would 100% recommend!

Wonderful even with bad weather!

Beautiful location in the countryside, but close to all the amenities by car. Peaceful and cosy, it was so rainy and windy most of the weekend but we still had a lovely time and would visit again! The beds were comfy and the hot tub was lovely and warm.

Great accommodation and great view.

A wonderful way to experience the scenery. You are really in amongst it. Great to wake up and see the hills and the Kites circling in the sky. On our second day we had goats eating the grass outside our window which was a lovely surprise. Great accommodation and wonderfully quirky. The owner was very helpful too. Would highly recommend.

Gorgeous scenery

Gorgeous place to stay, was a last minute booking on way home but so glad we picked it. Views are stunning and accomodation was too. Definitely would like to come back.Although have to say it is a little pricey, especially for a longer stay.

What a GEM

What an absolute GEM. Booked for 2 nights as a birthday treat, it exceeded expectations. Everything was as described, the location stunning, everything you wanted was there. Loved the goats that came to visit. Will certainly return. Booking was very easy and kept in contact via e mail with all relevant information.

Nice but could be better.

Water was only warm not hot so beautiful bath tub couldn't be used. Wifi wasnt working the first day and a half The qr code to scan for info didnt work and came up with an error. Hot tub chemicals way to strong and ruined partners bikini. Location was amazing and property was very clean.

Beautiful place

The accommodation is beautiful and quirky, lovely views from the round windows, the only thing that let it down for us was the bed, it was awful, so uncomfortable it needs a deeper mattress so you aren't bruising all the back of your legs on the wooden frame around it trying to get on and off and the wood underneath makes it feel like you are sleeping on concrete! The place is very very warm so if you are a cold person you will love it, but they do provide fans, nice to sit in the hot tub looking at the stars, and it is nice and private well thought out and not too close to the neighbours
