Simona was extremely helpful with information leading up to the stay and during the stay when we had issues connecting to the Wi-Fi. The apartment was beautifully decorated and is larger than it looks in pictures. Would stay again, great location and price!

Simona was very communicative and helpful throughout our stay. The apartment has good, working amenities, with the air conditioning and Wi-Fi both working perfectly throughout. The location is excellent, just up the road from the market and within a 10–20 minute walk of the main sights of Palermo. There were a couple of minor downsides. The kitchen has a damp issue, which it seems the owner is aware of and is dealing with. Also, being in such a vibrant and central part of the city, there can be quite a bit of noise late in the evening and early in the morning. This is probably to be expected given the location, but it is worth bearing in mind if you are a light sleeper.Overall, a good base for exploring Palermo, with a great location and a communicative host.

The location of this property is ideal for travelers who wish to immerse themselves in local Sicilian culture. It is steps away from the Ballaro Marketplace, and an easy walk to via Emmanuel, the train station, and the port. The space inside the apartment is generous. The kitchen, though small, is well equipt. Having the balcony open over the street allows for fresh air, sunlight and chatter with the neighbors ( but not in English as this is an authentic neighborhood.) As we visited during Easter week, we were privy to a number of processions on our street that we, like everyone on the street, watched from the balcony. While you may find "nicer" areas, cleaner streets, upscale shops and touristy restaurants throughout Palermo, you will not find a more genuine, welcoming neighborhood, so convenient to everything, so fun for all. One note, the "first floor" in many Sicilan buildings is not ground level. Be prepared for steps. That said, at 70 years old, we managed with a sturdy hand rail and solid footing. Once in the apartment, there are no steps, just a cozy, well decorated, thoughtful space. Simona is a caring, accommodating host and we definitely hope to return.

Beautiful flat in the heart of Palermo

This beautiful apparment is right where we wanted to be.... In the center of Palermo and very close to the Ballaro markets. The flat has everything that one is used to have at home, dish washer and washing machine make it very convenient and the air conditioning keeps the heat out. The windows on the other hand should be sealed by the owner.... They are far from canceling any noise and first nights are short due to all the scooters roaring through the streets. We got used to it after 2 days, but still, with some simple measures the level of noise could be reduced significantly. Parking was possible on the street right infront or just around the corner. For the Mondello beach it's a 25-30min drive.
