Dent is famous for its rich history, superb walks and stunning scenery. The Dales Way, an 85 mile rambling route running up to Bowness-on-Windermere in the Lake District from Ilkley in West Yorkshire, cuts through the village and draws many walkers to the area. The cottage is located on the outskirts of the village but within walking distance. Step back in time when visiting Dent, with its narrow, cobbled main street, white-walled cottages, ancient village church, cafés and pubs. Set in a deep, narrow valley, Dent, in Cumbria, is one of the loveliest villages in Dentdale. As well as being home to part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Dent is only 15 miles from the Lake District National Park. There are miles of footpaths and bridleways to explore. The Pennine Cycleway passes through Dent on its 350-mile route between Derby and Berwick-upon-Tweed, and there are also some excellent local loops that explore the countryside around the village. The picturesque River Dee is nearby with lovely riverside walks and fishing on offer.

Fabulous place to relax and recharge with beautiful views.
Fabulous place to relax and recharge with beautiful views. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have stayed in away from home! I could not fault the cottage at all. The farm owner and his family are lovely and cannot do enough for you.

Would definitely recommend this place, it was really clean and was lovely inside.
Would definitely recommend this place, it was really clean and was lovely inside. The views from the cottage were superb too. We explored the Dales and one day we ventured over to the Lakes too. There is a stunning waterfall called Gastack Beck Waterfall about a 3km walk away from the cottage which was really special to visit. We had a brilliant stay in Ivy cottage.
