Family trip to York

We loved this property with its rich history and location. We appreciated the location so much. It was very close to several stores and with York being such a walkable city, this house was a fun place to call home as we explored everyday we were there. Hope to stay again soon

Comfortable, clean, & convenient

Could not be in a better location! 5 min walk to The Shamble, 10 mins to anywhere in city centre. Tons of great restaurants, bars, pubs in the neighborhood. Very safe & walkable. Beautiful old home that’s been well maintained. Lots of space, bathrooms on every level, comfy beds, big kitchen fully outfitted. Our family loved it and would definitely stay again!

Property was in an excellent location. Easy to walk everywhere. It was also a bonus to be able to park the car just around the corner. The house was clean and well equipped. The beds were all very comfortable and the linen and bath towels were of a very good quality. The kitchen and dining room were both in the basement and rather dark. We only had breakfast in the house as we were out sightseeing in the day and out for a meal in the evenings. The little garden at the back of the house was perfect for eating breakfast outside. The en-suite shower leaked one morning and dripped through the ceiling below. The host responded immediately and had a plumber round straight away to fix the problem. We were very happy with their quick response. We had a very enjoyable stay in York and would recommend the house as long as you don't mind climbing lots of stairs as there are 4 floors.
