This is our second time staying here. We like the location and the residence easily accommodated our family of six. The property owners are easy to communicate with and we would stay here again.
Lovely property with outstanding location. Nice rooms and reasonably well equipped kitchen. No parking but long stay carpark very close by. For anyone with bad knees it is worth noting there are lots of stairs!
Lovely home in great and quiet location for exploring York. Host was very communicative with instructions etc. Check in and departure very easy. Plenty of space with three large bedrooms and large kitchen. There are lots of stairs so be aware if mobility is an issue. Great tapas restaurant on corner and shops and a multitude of diverse restaurants within easy walking distance.
Superb location. Prove to a little more expensive than usual as it was a busy weekend in York. Gorgeous place however, we were very pleased with it. We would definitely stay here again.Only note is it could be if it from an after hours number to be made easily visible. The boiler went out one night (to be fair the instructions in the boiler worked to sort it out. The boiler was just very hard to find.)
Excellent location, charming, authentic. Located inside the historic city walls. Lots of stairs inside, but very easy walking to main city attractions. Highly recommended.
The space was charming and very well situated within the city walls of York. We loved being right in the center of many activities, and. Amenities.
A great place for friends and family and we would stay here again.
Our family (2 adults and 3 grown teenagers) loved staying at this property. We arrived in York by train and chose to walk to the property. It was an easy walk from the station. The property was easy to find and once we arrived we were in awe of it. The property is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. There are 4 levels which means quite a few stairs to climb. We thought this added to the historic feel of the house and enjoyed that detail. The living room/sitting area is very large and with 2 couches to relax on. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and our daughters appreciated each having a comfortable bed to themselves. The photos that accompany the listing portray it accurately. The kitchen in the lower level was fully equipped for our needs and included a washer/dryer and that we used to do a bit of laundry. The location of the townhouse is unbeatable! It is on a quiet street and very close to all of the sights we wanted to see in York. The minster is just down the road around the corner to the right and to the left you will find many shops and places to eat. Monkbar (entrance to the city walls) is just a short couple minutes walk to the left, also. Everything was so close that it was easy to return to the property during the day if needed to drop off shopping parcels, etc. The property owners were helpful and easy to communicate with during our entire experience. We hope to be able to return again in the future!
