We really enjoyed our stay at Giardina Floreale. Everything was as described and expected with the exception of the air conditioning. There are 4 bedrooms with air conditioning in only 2. Our week was during a heat wave in Menaggio so the 2 bedrooms were quite warm. There were no fans to help with air flow. Since the listing said air conditioning, I didn’t ask if every room had one. That is the only complaint. Our group enjoyed being there and it’s close to businesses and restaurants for walking. There’s a small grocery nearby. I would recommend staying there is cooler weather.

Great view and outdoor space

The location is close to everything. Just be prepared for the 115 steps from the main road to your door. It’s a beautiful old building and the main room plus two of the bedrooms have AC units which was great in the incredible heat this week. My favorite part of the house though is the outdoor seating area with views of the lake. Car parking is further up the hill so be prepared to carry luggage. The only true negative was the old house had very old bathrooms, so an update to those would be welcome.

We had a great stay in Menaggio! The property is wonderful and in a great location. It was perfect for our group of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids). The only recommendation I have…the temperature was very warm during our stay. The living room and 2 of the bedrooms have air conditioners in them, but the other two bedrooms do not. It would be nice to have fans for those rooms.
