We absolutely fell in love with this cottage and the amazing community that it is within. We were so thankful for the opportunity to experience such a beautiful home and our family hopes to return for many years to come!
Our stay at Linwood Park was simply magical. This cozy retreat offered everything we needed for a perfect getaway. The accommodation was immaculate while the proximity to the lake made for effortless relaxation.
This is such a cute little cottage. It's located in the most charming neighborhood that is just steps from the beach, and a quick walk into downtown Vermilion. My friends and I had a fantastic girls weekend trip. There was plenty of space, the house was incredibly clean and there were plenty of cozy spots to relax. It was also well stocked with kitchen appliances, tools and dishes. This would make a great location to bring kids with the bunkbeds, beach and playground so close by.Some improvements that could have made it a better stay:– Taking out extra insurance on the rental felt a bit extreme to me, so the price that's listed at first isn't accurate.– The Checkout instructions are a bit alarming with how detailed they are. It says several times how we needed to do our own laundry on the towels. When I asked for clarity, she mentioned it's only when an excessive amount beyond 1 towel per person is used. This is very reasonable, but was alarming and unclear at first.– None of the beds were made when we arrived. Each person had to put the sheets onto their own bed. This seems like it should be built into the price you pay for cleaning. Despite those things, it was a fantastic stay and Melanie was a great host and very responsive when we needed something.
My 3 sisters and I like to getaway for a few days with our mother to celebrate her birthday and spend time together. This year we were celebrating her 91st birthday! Loved the house and area.
Lots of great restaurants, wineries and shops to explore.
We took all of our kids and grandkids to visit my Mom in Vermilion, Ohio. This was the first visit for many of my Mom's great grands. This property in Linwood Park was just what we needed and met every need that we had. The area and home were both beautiful and functional and the family thoroughly enjoyed the time we had to spend there. We will be back when the weather is a little warmer and we can enjoy the Lake.
This cottage truly does have a spot for every age and for every interest. The kitchen is wonderful to cook in. The large seating bar really was fun to work around and serve and eat on! The porch is sweet to sit on, to play games and talk about the days fun. The windows let the whole park in; the trees rustling and birds chirping. Our granddaughters 10 & 7 loved the top bunks and windows and reading in their beds at night. Our younger grandson and granddaughter loved to run from the front porch to the back sliding doors. It’s a great roomy space, and with 12 people in it we never felt cramped or crowded. The 3rd floor game room with large TV was well used and enjoyed. We were shocked by the beach, or lack of it. But did find some sand to enjoy. The 2nd floor shower needs some help with pressure and my 95 yr old mother and some of us older folks found the sound level loud at times in the cottage on the main floor when everyone was talking. A lot of echo. But we are a loud family!! Railings would be a dream on the front steps. Our whole family gathered together to celebrate my moms 95th birthday and we had a wonderful week. My sister and her family were in 483 Walnut, so it was fun to have them across the street! You have created a beautiful cottage. Thank you!!
A beautiful home in a great location. We loved the layout. Very spacious and well decorated.
We loved the home. The rooms had just the right amount of space for our group. We absolutely loved the openness of the kitchen and family room areas. The game room on the top level was an added plus. The home is very comfortable and the quaint community was very welcoming. A hidden gem at the Lake Erie shore. Just lovely.

Beautiful home!
This house “cottage” was absolutely beautiful and suited our family just perfectly. From the cleanliness of the house, the abundant linen supply, the great appliances, the grill...it was more than we even needed. Decorating was superb also! Thank you!

Nice, safe and clean with fun for the whole family
This fantastic cottage (a house, really) had plenty of room for 8 adults and 5 children. A large kitchen and eating area was able to accommodate everyone comfortably. Plenty of room to stretch out and relax. A great entertainment area on the third floor would come in handy on rainy days, but we had great weather and spent much of our time outdoors. This was our first time at Linwood Park. This place has been around over 100 years and it is a little known jewel - at least to us. We would definitely return and hope to rent this property again in the future.
