Location is great. No AC, so not a great spot in the summer. One of the fans were very loud (clanking sound) to have on and one of the bedroom shutters couldn’t lock so it was a little uncomfortable leaving the windows open since there are other balcony’s that connect to it. With the extreme heat having the windows open at night was a must. Very hard to get reply’s when we messaged them questions. Cute place and great location for other times of the year if you don’t need to ask them questions.

The location of the unit is nice and the apartment itself is simple but clean. Outside of that we had a really bad experience. We arrived during the heat wave and only one of the fans was working. We ended up needing to find a different accomodation to cope with the heat since the open windows and single fan were not doing it in this apartment. So we ended up only staying 1 out of the 4 nights that we had booked. It made it our trip very stressful and felt unsupported by Belvilla and the hosts. Also the smart TV did not connect to the internet.

Outside of that we had a really bad experience. We arrived during the heat wave and only one of the fans was working. Brilliant location but if you plan to cook and need instant Wifi, forget it! PROS: The location on the northern end of the Marais is great, central to everything you need and walking distance to most things you'd want to visit. The apartment has a small balcony you can sit out on which is a bonus and by Paris standards the apartment is large.CONS: Don't plan to cook. I stayed there 18 days so I did want to cook and chose the apartment with that in mind as it is supposed to have a full kitchen. They do have a hotplate but it is an induction cooker and they had supplied a frying pan that will work on it, but no induction suitable cooking pans. I had back and forth communication with the property managers (CheckMyGuest) about this for most of my stay and they just kept changing from "you don't know how to use it" (I did as I got it working with the frying pan), to "well if you want a cooking pan you'll have to be charged extra for it". All delaying tactics and ridiculous.Additionally I was given 2 sets of incorrect wifi codes before they finally gave me the correct one on the 3rd attempt, but this took a 3 or 4 days to resolve. Also the TV was not working and despite telling me they'd send someone around that day, this also took about 6 days to resolve. So if your trip goes smoothly it's a great place to stay, but if you need to have anything to do with the property managers, CheckMyGuest, don't expect much help.

The apartment was well situated. There were restaurants and stores close by as well as several metro lines. The hosts were communicative and sent a plumber when there was a leak in the sink. It only took an hour to repair and it was during some down time so we were glad it got fixed. The apartment doesn't have much charm but it does have great potential. We had everything we needed and there were fans as well as space heaters. The twin beds were a bit uncomfortable and creaky but we got used to it. Great shower. We did think there should be a link to the TV manual and the oven. We were able to use the oven but the TV never came on despite new batteries for both remotes.
