This was our second time at Rose Cottage and it's still our favorite place to stay in Sperryville! It's a lovely place right in town. Very convenient to all the area has to offer and a comfortable place to relax. Looking forward to coming back!
Great little cottage in the heart of Sperryville! Close to and walking distance to everything! Great for a dog too! House was fully stocked with everything you need and more! Highly recommended! Will be back!
The perfect house in the perfect location - right in the middle of town, can walk to anything, and a short drive from great hikes, wineries, and breweries. Can’t wait to visit again!
Great location on Main Street in Sperryville. Easily walk to well-stocked grocer, nearby coffee shop, restaurants. Also, a short drive to nearby hiking trails. Owner is very responsive. This was a repeat stay for us.
Nice little cottage right in the heart of downtown Sperryville, nice bathroom and shower everything you need in the kitchen, JennAir range, cozy place with lots of the original charm preserved from a recent renovation.
We arrived at the cottage after dark and were welcomed by the lights on!
The property was VERY clean, comfortable bedding, extra linens, and amazing water pressure in the shower, and newer living room furniture since pictures were taken. The kitchen was well stocked and there was plenty of storage. I appreciated all of the hooks throughout as well :)
Sarah was prompt to respond when we messaged and had great nearby recommendations. The location couldn't have been more perfect for our weekend getaway. Would highly recommend!
My wife and I spent the weekend with our dogs in Sperryville--quite a lovely town with fun shops, eateries, brewery, distillery, you name it! The property is very quaint and comfortable and accurate with the listing and Sarah's communication was quick and seamless.
Sperryville is a quick drive to one of the Skyline Dr. entrances in Shenandoah National Park where we did some hiking and driving with the dogs. All around, a great time.
This property is also a quick drive to the Inn at Little Washington where we had a dinner reservation on Saturday night. A good, budget-friendly option for future diners to consider.
We look forward to returning!
We loved our stay at Rose Cottage. The cottage was very clean with many thoughtful touches. The open floor plan and tasteful design made it feel quite spacious inside. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious with a very good shower, and the kitchen was very well appointed. We enjoyed sampling the complementary teas. The location is excellent and we enjoyed walking to several Sperryville establishments, especially Before & After across the street for breakfasts. Our dog loved the large fenced in backyard. We can't wait to return!
This was our first time staying at Rose Cottage and it certainly won't be our last. Centrally located in town with easy access to great hiking. Nice coffee shop across the street and a most excellent local market just a block away. The property was impeccably clean and well stocked with all you need for a comfortable stay.
The cottage is located right in Sperryville and there are many great restaurants, bars and cafes located within walking distance. There are also many beautiful hikes that can be made in the Shenandoah National Park nearby.
The cottage has been very respectfully and tastefully renovated and is very comfortable.
I would recommend this cottage to friends as a nice place to spend a weekend and as a good base to explore the surrounding area.

Beautiful property, all the amenities, one double bed in each bedroom, nice Victorian style settee and chair in living/family room,
and perfect place to stay if you have pets! The location couldn’t have been better for our Christmas visit.
We loved our weekend at the Rose Cottage. The location, backyard and cleanliness/openness of the space was wonderful for a relaxing break from the city.
The Rose Cottage is very nicely renovated cottage in the middle of a small quaint and super friendly town of Sperryville - between Little Washington Virginia and the Shanandoah National Park.
We regret only having to return to DC and would have enjoyed staying longer.
We enjoyed the cottage feel of this property. I also appreciated the Hoosier Cabinets in three different spaces since I am a native of Indiana. We also liked the proximity to the park.

Rose cottage is a perfect place to stay for 2 couples, a small family or some sisters. Whether you want to day hike in the Shenandoah National Park or just spend a few days in that area, you'll find it clean, comfortable and convenient to interesting activities nearby. Two bedrooms with comfortable queen beds, big bathroom with glass shower, and all the kitchen necessities, (even an empty growler for the Ale House down the street). There aren't a lot of restaurants nearby but several good ones are within walking distance. We tried School House Pub one night and IPK Pizza another. Plan ahead for Three Blacksmiths if you want well known tasting menu.

We LOVE this place!
We loved the rose cottage! I think it might be one of the nicest places we've ever stayed in through VRBO! Very comfortable - nice size bedrooms and kitchen, well appointed, comfortable beds, all the conveniences you might need or want (including washer and dryer). The fenced in backyard was great for our dogs! And the hosts were kind enough to leave tea, coffee and even a growler for the brewery across the street! We will definitely stay here again!
