Amazing stay, beautiful views, everything you need in the hotel. Friendly staff! This unit is even more beautiful than the pictures. The view from the balconies is incredible. Slept very well, heard very little outside noise.
The unit was perfect for me and my husband and our 18 year old daughter for a short (3 night) getaway. The unit was extremely clean, comfortable and perfect space for the three of us. Communication was always timely and responsive. Staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful.
We are truly surprised at the terms used to describe this regularly maintained unit, with only 5 star reviews, enjoyed by many guests prior to your stay. We hope you will be able to find accommodations to your preference on next trip to Miami, while the host was left with the impression any expressed dissatisfaction was addressed in our attempt to ensure a wonderful stay. Wishing you all the best!
Overall it was a good weekend. The unit was not fully cleaned when we got there and it took housekeeping a while to resolve it but overall the unit is a value. Some things to note: if you are using the pullout get a mattress topper from the housekeeping. The pull out was 100x better once we had this. The staff and service was excellent. Very friendly and very helpful. The Fountainebleau is very expensive so as long as you are prepared for $30 drinks you are all set. The food was excellent both the steak house and Italian restaurant. Overall the room was a great value for the weekend!

Hotel needs updating
We stayed for 5 nights and the hotel had at least 1 or two elevators out of service during our entire stay. The unit is nice but housekeeping could have done a better job with cleaning. We couldn’t check into our room until almost 6 pm and the rollaway bed that we ordered a week before we arrived did not get delivered until 11pm after 4 calls to housekeeping. The resort is very large and very nice but needs several more staff. Overall our stay was Ok but wouldn’t go back until the hotel improves their service.
This unit was even better than advertised! Huge living space, full kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 bathrooms AND 2 decks with ocean and city views! Definitely take advantage of the spa passes included with the rental. Guest services were very attentive and helpful! Overall we had a wonderful time and hope to be back soon! (Keurig and coffee pot made for great mornings with a view!)
We had a wonderful stay at the property with a group of 2 adults, 2 children. The condo was very spacious and had everything we needed. The views were amazing of both bay and ocean. Would definitely return to this property in the future.
Wonderful property with beautiful views and nice amenities
This is the second time we stayed at the
Fontainebleau in this exact unit. The condo clean, more than comfortable and has great views of both then city overlooking the river and the ocean/beach. The only thing I would like to see different is for there to be more kitchen utensils, plates etc available as part of why we like to rent a vacation condo vs hotel room is to make use of the kitchen and cook most of our meals vs spending money going out. Otherwise, this is a top notch location and I would highly recommend it.
The place was beautiful, view from the room was amazing. Perfect for me and my 4 friends. Loved that it did have 2 bathrooms. Check in process was smooth and easy. I went during Memorial Day weekend (for my birthday) so the hotel and Miami period was EXTREMELY busy, packed. So if you have a rental car it does take about 25min to get your car from valet but it is free like the host said. Pool was lovely and there is access straight to the beach. The room felt safe because there’s an added door you have to go through to get to the room itself. I would suggest bringing your own utensils/cups if you plan on cooking/drinking in the room. Sleep wise it’s perfect for 4 adults. I would stay here again!
I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of windows and how I could see the bay, the water way for the yachts, and the ocean too! We were there to celebrate my birthday and it was just the perfect place to relax and party at night too!
Ridiculous check in experience, got much better from there
We arrived at 1 PM so knew we were a couple hours early for check in. We were told room would be available at 4 PM which was fine as we were okay with killing some time. After multiple visits to front desk and talking to 3 different people, we finally got into our room around 8:30. This to me is completely unacceptable and when we got in the room, it smelled like the self cleaning option was used on the oven as the whole suite had a burnt food smell. Thankfully, the rest of the week went much better as the weather and resort were beautiful. The only other recommendation I have is that they manage the reserving of pool loungers better. I saw a family reserve 12 chairs and only 3 of them were in use for the first 4 hours I was there. Come to find out, some of the group had also paid for a cabana so when they did show up, it was just so they could stop over and talk to the rest of the family. They sat down for a few minutes at time and then went back to the cabana. Room was nice despite being pretty busy, I felt there was plenty of room in the pools and hot tubs.

Cleanliness and Smell
As soon as I walked in room 1815 in Tresor, I noticed a musty carpet smell. It is apparent the carpet needs to be replaced. No other concerns.
Location and outside views from room were excellent.
Room is great for a family. Full kitchen with full size fridge/freezer full oven/cook top, dishwasher, microwave, pots and silverware. Best part (that was there that wasn’t in description on VRBO) was a stacked washer and dryer. From a facility perspective it works well. The issue is with the building management. We were supposed to be able to check in early and specifically chose this room bc the owner said that the room was empty the night before so we can check in early. When we got there at 10am the front desk said they would do a rush cleaning bc the room wasn’t ready. At first said that it’s nearly impossible to check in before 4pm because of Covid rules they cannot clean the room until the day a guest checks in. I looked at all of the legal language related to covid on the state and county web sites and there are no such rules posted. Then at 3pm I was really annoyed with it not being ready and I went down to the front desk again and they said it was ready but the reason we couldn’t check in was because there were some maintenance items pending - the toilet paper holder fell off the wall and there were some lights out. I said no problem we can check in and they can come fix it. Well, in addition to that the kitchen fawcett was leaking water on the counter every time you turned it on. I probably called them 5 or 6 times - when a tech came on Friday to fix the ac that wasn’t working well, he said he will send a plumber the next day. No one ever showed up. Not even an explanation of when someone would come. This building (Tresor) just doesn’t have it together. It just feels like the place needs an overhaul - it’s a bit worn and not kept up like it should be. They have so much security checking to see that you don’t bring adult beverages to the pool - they need to redeploy those resources towards maintenance.
Plus I would say if you are a person that is careful with Covid and social distancing, put off your visit until you get the Covid vaccine because the Fontainebleau has a very young crowd (high school and college age kids) and there was a lot of crowding in the main pool and pool area and not the best mask over the nose adherence from this age group. The hotel does do a nice job with their fitness area and main areas in policing mask usage - but it’s hard to control when you have a lot of guests of this age. Overall it was good and we plan to come back but know what these units are and are not in advance.
