This is a great home base for a weekend in Asheville! It’s the perfect size for two people and is so convenient to walking around all the shops and restaurants in West Asheville — as well as being just a short drive into downtown or outside the city for some hiking.

We loved the location just a block from Haywood Road in funky west Ashville! Don’t miss breakfast at Sunny Point Cafe or drinks at The Low Down. Both super walkable. Downtown is 10 min drive. We brought our pup and she was right at home. Above garage apt in back of main house was quite and well provisioned. Clean and comfy!

We had not stayed in west Asheville before but we would definitely do it again! This spot was close to so many great restaurants and only a 10 min drive into Asheville proper. Place was clean and had all the things needed for a weekend stay.

Delightful Weekend Retreat

My husband and I are frequently in Asheville and absolutely loved our stay at this location! We were able to walk to a local grocery store and several cool restaurants. The location was great, the apartment was well stocked, and it was a perfect little oasis. We enjoyed it so much we are planning to rebook in October.

The properties in a good location within walking distance to lots of places. The driveway is a little tight. If you have a bigger sized car, you may have to park on the street. Overall I would definitely recommend.

Great for an Asheville getaway!

My wife and I stayed at this property for a weekend getaway to Asheville. The property was accurately represented. It is small, but has everything that you would need. It also is in a great neighborhood and there were great restaurants and places to see in walking distance. We also brought our dog (a mini Golden Doodle) and the unit worked well for that as well. The neighborhood is walkable and a lot of the restaurants around also have patio seating which is also dog friendly. Getting in and communicating were super easy, and we sincerely appreciated everything.

Perfect Vibe

In the heart of West Asheville. Artsy, Eclectic, Friendly vibe. Perfect studio above the garage in a quaint mountain town atmosphere. Great care and planning obviously went into the setup. Perfect for one or a couple with plenty of space and ALL the amenities. Pet friendly which was WAY COOL! With a small fenced in area.....that was above and beyond! Definitely will book it again because I didn't get to do it all this last visit!

Cozy and Comfortable

We enjoyed our stay of four days in Jennifer's guest house. The cottage is cozy and comfortable, and the West Asheville location can't be beat. The provided pictures do give an accurate picture of the property. Communication with Jennifer was great, and check-in couldn't have been smoother. The WiFi and TV both worked fine. Just one FYI... the kitchen wares/pantry supplies are pretty rudimentary, so anyone wanting to do any real cooking might be a bit challenged. But, overall a wonderful place. We would definitely stay again.

Really nice little place in the heart of West Asheville

This place was so nice! Private driveway (shared with a house that wasn't being used next door), included a kitchen with pots and pans, plates, cutlery, a spatula, etc (all the stuff you'd need to cook a meal), and completely separate from any other structures, so it was private. The hosts were so nice! The only nitpicks I would say is that the bedroom was a bit cold (due to an extreme cold snap!) but that's not anyone's fault. :)

Initially drawn to Western North Carolina by the Liberal Arts College of UNCA, Jennifer fell in love with Asheville while she was here and settled in the area with her husband George right after achieving her BS in History and Literature. An avid traveler, Jennifer has been to many parts of the world, only to be reminded that her home of Asheville is the most beautiful place on Earth. As an outdoor activist, Jennifer, her husband George, and her son Luke (along with their yellow lab, Barley Farley) love to spend their free time hiking, camping, biking, and canoeing the French Broad. Other interests include rehabbing houses, playing tennis and giving back by supporting the efforts of UNCA, Riverlink, Brother Wolf and the National Park Foundation.
