The apartment is located in the Santa Croce district on the eastern edge of Florence’s historic city centre. The area takes its name from one of the city’s most remarkable churches. The Santa Croce neighbourhood provides a rare glimpse of “old” Florence with lively markets and tiny leather and artisan workshops, including the flea market (Mercato delle Pulci) at Piazza dei Ciompi. The Mercato St. Ambrogio, the city’s second main food market after the Mercato San Lorenzo, is within close walking distance too. Furthermore, the area is just a stone’s throw from some of the city’s main cultural attractions such as the Bargello Palace, which houses one of Italy’s most important museums, the Casa Buonarroti, (the former home of Michelangelo), Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and Ponte Vecchio, as well as the magnificent Santa Croce church and museum. You will also enjoy the largest selection of boutique shops, bars, and traditional restaurants and pizzerias within the city. Three of the finest and most expensive restaurants, Cibreo, Pinchiorri, and Alle Murate are located nearby. There is also a good choice of mid-priced dining options. By night, Santa Croce becomes one of the liveliest parts of town and with its pedestrian streets and illuminated buildings it transforms into the perfect venue for an after-dinner glass of wine or evening stroll. For those choosing an apartment in this area Santa Croce offers several food stores, supermarkets, laundromats, and gift shops as well as being adequately served by the local public transportation service. The apartment is located outside the ZTL (limited traffic zone) so easy to reach by car and easy parking.

This location was ideal for getting in and out of the city center-without all the traffic! We had a well equipped kitchen with a lovely deck with a view directly onto the river. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were updated. Bravo for a wonderful stay.

Great location
Very walkable location, comfortable, clean, convenient to sites, shopping and restaurants. There is no close market. Parking was difficult, check- in was confusing with inaccurate directions. Property manager was responsive and helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend and stay again.
Great apartment with a spectacular view of Florence
Check in was a breeze and the apartment was set up perfectly for 2 couples. It’s located away from the busy part of the city so there was a bit of a walk to get to get to the most touristy places. This was perfect for us because we enjoy walking and being able to take in the beauty without trying to maneuver around a lot of people.
Great property, very well maintained and kept. really spacious for the full family of 5. The place will comfortably have 6 people. Quality of furniture, bed and appliances are all high end. Little off from city center but very close to many restaurants and Piazza Michelangelo. There are 2 buses that run by the place.
What a location- usually I stay in downtown Florence but this time decided to be across the River- for wonderful water views/Ponte Vecchio etc. The terrace was gorgeous and we didn't miss one sunset from there. Some reviews said it was noisy- not really. And you are just below Piazza Michelango- a wonderful early morning "hike" before the crowds hit. All amenities we could want were there- a little bit of a hike to grocery, but well worth the views, the breeze, all of it!
The Cellini Terrace apartment was very well maintained and it was nice to have 2 bathrooms for our family. Having a kitchen and living room make relaxing after busy adventures was so nice. Unfortunately it was way too hot to enjoy the terrace and view but at least our laundry dried quickly! The AC was a must have and provided needed relief. We arrived early and were able to drop our bags while cleaning was wrapping up after having to call Leonardo via WhatsApp to be let in. The location is great to be out of the busy city center but the walk became painful when it was 95 F. Thankfully there were some great places to eat on our side of the river. The elevator also made a huge difference when trying to cool down. Everything felt spacious and newer.

Wonderful property but communication poor
Beautiful spacious apartment with stunning views of Florence! Kitchen, especially the coffee appliances, was good. Primary issue was lack of communication with property manager. Building was locked when we arrived mid afternoon. Once another tenant let us in, we couldn’t locate key box. Then combo to box was wrong & we didn’t know location of unit. Manager answered phone after a couple attempts but didn’t respond to VRBO messaging. My suggestion to future renters is to get manager’s What’s App # because manager responds in that app. Wifi code was wrong also. Would definitely stay here again but would reach out to manager by phone ahead of time to handle check in difficulties.
It was very difficult to get in touch with the host.
Expected us to take out garbage when he had cleaning crew! Never got back to us when asked if we could leave suitcases in apartment. We texted him and he didn't answer until after suitcases were robbed. Said there was parking - but not by hotel. Had to walk! was not clear about where to park! We found out only in blue lines. Not sensitive to our dilemma!!!!!! It was far from center of town - Bad experience for our family. I'll never go here or do Verbo again!
The apartment was perfect for our family trip. The place is spacious and has everything you need for your stay. The view from the terrace is beautiful!
The bus stop is a few steps from the front door. Easy to move around the city.
The place for the most part was clean. The bedrooms were clean, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean, with good water pressure but not enough adult towels for 6 adults.
The kitchen has the essentials to cook a meal. Unfortunately, the coffeemaker and teapot were disgusting. We cleaned them but wasn't something nice to encounter.
Our only issue with this place is that there are several bars around it and you will hear the music at night until 2 am. The apartment is on a very busy and noisy street.
