Heron Hideaway: Lamoka Cottage w/ Private 3/4 Acre Lot, 135' Flat Lakefront

Escape to "HERON HIDEAWAY," nestled on the scenic west side of Lamoka Lake on an over-sized, private lot with over 135' of LEVEL LAKEFRONT. At this secluded, cozy, & economical 2BR getaway, you'll enjoy the enclosed porch, outdoor furniture, fire pit, and PRIVATE DOCK. A canoe, tandem kayak, and single kayak are provided for your use.

Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need for preparing meals at the lake, plus a toaster, microwave, coffee pot and Keurig, as well as dining table and chairs.

The living room area has a brand new sleeper sofa that pulls out into QUEEN size bed, chair, & rocker. Indoor entertainment with flat screen TV, DVD/BLU-RAY player, and plenty of movies, board games, cards & puzzles. NEW for 2025: Internet access and WiFi!

Bedroom #1 includes (1) QUEEN size bed and large dresser
Bedroom #2 has (1) FULL size bed, and (1) TWIN size bed with dresser and window AC unit.
Tenants must bring their own linens.

The enclosed porch comes with a rocker, additional seating, & coffee table, that give you a great view of the yard and lake.

Outside, you'll enjoy the large, level, grassy yard. The driveway down is steep, but there's plenty of level parking. Comes with a picnic table, outdoor grill, outdoor furniture, and fire-pit. The DOCK is perfect for your boat, or you can use the kayaks and canoe provided (life vests also provided). There's great fishing right from the dock, but it's not recommended for swimming. Paddle out to the North side of the lake for an island with a pebble beach great for swimming.

In close proximity to Finger Lakes wineries, hiking trails, Watkins Glen and tourist attractions.

Pleased to announce that we now have high-speed internet and WiFi. Also, LTE cell reception is generally reliable.

Cute cottage stayed in May so very quiet on the lake. Our stay was wet and cold, so the cottage was cozy and we visited the area attractions and played games. Caught some fish, a couple big ones.

Lovely cottage/cabin for the 3 of us & our dog. Comfortable beds. Loved waking up to view of Lamoka Lake & heron on dock. Teen son happy fishing mornings & evenings off the dock, caught a variety of fish. Appreciated kitchen basics for meals & evening campfires. Location is perfect! Larger lot means a little more space between houses. 20-25 minutes to Watkins Glen wineries, restaurants, waterfalls, etc. 10 min to bait shop & Dollar General. Thanks for the welcome stay!

Great place right on the water. Close enough to the wineries while allowing a more remote stay outside of the busy areas around Seneca. Fishing from the dock in the evening was fantastic.

Property was easy to find and location was PERFECT. Only negative I could say is grass was a long and could have been cut before our stay. We would stay again for sure!

A bit out of the way from "all the action", but that is what a lake cabin is for, right? It had everything we needed (except I didn't notice "bring your own linens and towels" in the listing, and had to hit Walmart since we flew in, but that worked out okay. ) Would stay again if we are in the area.

NEW OWNERS! The Hoffmans live in Lancaster County, PA but fell in love with the Finger Lakes when they visited for the first time back in 2013. They are outdoor enthusiasts and enjoy hiking, fishing and paddling along with their two American Alsatians, Windy & Odin.

Why they chose this property

We chanced upon Heron Hideaway on our first ever vacation to the Finger Lakes, and enjoyed the cottage as renters. While the whole area is beautiful, we loved Lamoka Lake right away, because it's perfect for fishing and paddling our canoes and kayaks. When we returned years later and had the opportunity to purchase the cottage, it was a no-brainer.

What makes this property unique

We've never stayed in a place that was so peaceful and relaxing. Who doesn't love a cozy little cottage where you can wake up and enjoy a beautiful view of the lake from the porch with your morning coffee? Sure we're biased, but we believe it's one of the best lots on the entire lake - beautiful views, private, a great dock and excellent fishing. We hope you'll love it as much as we do!
