Great Blessings at Norris Lake--Sleeps 25--

Experience gracious living right on the banks of beautiful Norris Lake. Great Blessings offers a secluded and scenic setting, a spacious floor plan and private lakefront access just footsteps from your back door. Elegantly designed and meticulously crafted, this home offers an open floor plan with three levels, 9 bedrooms, 9 baths, sleeps 26 and has a private double deck dock with slide.

Main Floor

The main floor boasts vaulted ceilings with expansive windows for amazing views of the lake and mountains. A huge kitchen with duplicate appliances makes cooking for a crowd more manageable. There is plenty of space for everyone to gather and have meals together on the main level in the dining room that seats up to 26 and the adjoining covered deck that seats 12. Also the main level has a master bedroom with private bath, king bed and lakefront view. The second bedroom with a king bed is on the main level, as well as a full bath off the living room and a large deck overlooking the lake with an extra-large gas grill.

Middle Level

The middle level has a large living room with TV and foosball table and four bedrooms, three bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms (one w/king bed, and one w/queen bed) have private bathrooms and the third and fourth (one w/queen bed and twin bunks and one with King bed and Full bunks) share the full bath off the living room. A large deck off the living room on the middle level is a great place for getting away from it all.

The Lower Level

The Lower level has a large living room with TV, three more bedrooms, and game room with ping pong table and air hockey. One bedroom has a king bed and a private bath. Another has a queen and a set of full bunks with a private bath, and the third has a queen bed and private bath. The hot tub is also on the lower level deck. Walk out to the private, Double Decker Dock with Slide!

Truly Blessed!

We had an amazing weekend! Your beautiful home was a perfect getaway for our church couple's retreat! Everything was just wonderful. Our host was especially gracious and hospitable! The house was comfortable and perfect for entertaining our large group. The kitchen was well equipped and met our every need. Our stay was in March so we were not fortunate to enjoy the lake activities, but we loved seeing the snow before our departure! "Great Blessings" and Donna...truly a blessing.

Wonderful Family Reunion

This house and location was ideal for a vacation week with our extended family - 19 people! The bedroom and bathroom combinations were what we needed for a group that included children with an age range of 1 - 17. The house was extremely clean when we checked in. The kitchen was the largest and best equipped of any we have rented over the past 20 years. We spent many hours swimming and everyone loved the dock and slide. We noticed a couple of minor maintenance needs when we checked in, and when we reported them, someone came out the same day and fixed everything. We were very impressed and pleased! I can definitely recommend this home and this owner!

There was trash all over the front and back of the house that took us hours to clean up.

This property is not well cared for. It's a fabulous house on a wonderful lake. But the ground floor flooded after it rained, and there was trash (beer cans,plastic cups, wrappers and boxes of all sorts, wet towels, and more) embedded deep into the ground as if it had been there for years. We cleaned it up so we did not have to look at it all week, but it was disgusting and disappointing. When we called about the flood, the manager said, "Well, that's gonna happen when it rains."

Wonderful large vacation home

We had a total of 26 in this house. Very spacious and clean. Kitchen is large and well stocked with appliances, dishes, glasses, etc. Lots of table seating, and seating in general. Grandkids had a blast fishing and swimming off the dock. We had also rented a pontoon for 4 days, and brought kayaks and a canoe. One 2 seater kayak was provided as well. As with most vacation rentals there is always something that needs attention, but nothing I would deduct a star for. We absolutely loved our stay there!

Perfect for a large group

We have a group of friends that get together with our families every January. This home offered plenty of bedrooms and living areas to relax and hang out. Beautiful home and the scenery is beautiful. Even in the winter.

Great house for large gathering!

This was our second year staying over New Years Eve. The kitchen and living area are great for a large gathering. We were able to prep meals, play games, and eat as a group. The larges tables push together to allow enough seating for everyone. We had so much fun! Each of the 9 spacious bedrooms and baths are perfect for everyone to have their own space. We love this house and hope to return again!

Lots to consider before staying...

Our family enjoyed our time at Great Blessing, but there are several things that you should know about, many are safety concerns. Air conditioning completely frozen when we arrived. This required the A/C unit be turned off for close to 24hrs. The dock ladder was hanging from the dock unusable. Luckily we had the ladder on the pontoon in order to have a way to get out of the water. The toilet seat on 2nd floor bathroom was completely unattached. In one of the bottom floor bathrooms, the shower faucet pulls out of the wall. The grill drip pan is messing for one section. Hot grease dripping down to lower decks. General items that you probably need to address with cleaning/maintenance..... —No working batteries in most remotes —at least two broken chairs on deck —Gutters have large plants growing in them —gooey substance found on door frame to 2nd floor bedroom —bottom floor couch in bad shape —we found one broken coffee mug and one broken glass in cabinet. They were both thrown in trash.

Great Lake Getaway

This is a comfortable spacious lakeside property. It has everything you could possibly need for your large family gathering. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped! Loved the three story arrangement with the game area on the bottom floor. Hot tub and fire pit are great. Two story dock with slide into deep water. Quiet cove safe for swimming and floating. Property manager and owner are very available and helpful. Great communication! I highly recommend this property for your family vacation!

Happy Thanksgiving

We enjoyed staying here. We loved the double kitchen, having a third refrigerator, and the available seating in the dining area for our entire group. So many of the houses in the area don't have enough room for a large group to eat together. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, flatware and cooking utensils. The kids loved the game room. The beds were comfortable. We did not mind making our own beds. We knew the sheets were clean. The appliances all work (kitchen and laundry). There is only enough parking space for 3 vehicles. Part of our group were not able to come for various reasons, so we didn't have to resort to the overflow parking area. The entry to the house, and open stairwells, could be an issue for those with very small children. You might need to bring gates for the stairs if you have toddlers. We were very happy with the accommodations , and had a great time staying here.

Beautiful House with driveway issues.

When I arrived there were gravel and pipes from construction partially blocking the driveway. We had to park at the top of the road or back down the steep driveway. The telephone was not working and my cell phone didn't get reception, I texted Jon and never got a reply. I then texted the coordinator and she responded promptly. She came out and moved some of the pipes. The cabin did not have as many beds as listed in the description. The cleaning crew needs to be more thorough. The Wi-Fi was spotted at best, the new code did not work. The house was beautiful and well stocked with useful utensils. The space for dining was awesome, we were able to sit and have dinner as a family. There were plenty of towels. The trip was still a success.
