Noras Yosemite Retreat II

Take in the beauty of Mariposa Pines this is a quite, warm and friendly mountain community located in the Sierra National Forest. A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and relax surrounded by beautiful tree's and nature. Close to hiking. This spacious 1,250 sq. ft. home is the perfect location for couples, family or groups spending time relaxing and recharging for your next spectacular day taking in the sites and enjoying Yosemite Park. a hour drive ( 40 miles) from Nora's Yosemite retreat II along the Merced river canyon on scenic Hwy 140 and just 20 minutes (16 miles ) from historic town of Mariposa where you can enjoy antique shopping, restaurants and a large grocery store with deli, bakery and pharmacy. And if you find time visit our Mining Museum and Mineral Museum.
Plenty of room in front of house for parking up to 3 cars. Large deck surrounds front of house with table and chairs, great for sitting out under the tree's visiting with family and friends or even having dinner.
Nora's Yosemite Retreat II sleeps 8 people comfortably. Recently remodeled this is a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath and game room. Open living room to dining room and fully equipped kitchen that includes refrigerator, gas stove and oven, dish washer, microwave, toaster and coffee pot ( coffee included ) stocked with pots and pans, dishes and glass ware, everything you need to feed your family and friends. Dinning room seats 6 people ( extra chairs available )
Living room has flat screen TV large selection of DVD's couch and love seat, wood burning stove (wood available ) Sliding glass door leads to another spacious deck in back of house with propane BBQ, table and chairs.
All bedrooms have comfortable queen size beds. Plus there are two twin size roll away beds if you need to sleep 8 people, Master bedroom has 1/2 bath. Full bathroom has step in tub and shower. Separate laundry room has full size washer and dryer.

The had everything we needed. Everything was very clean. Nora was easy to work with. The kitchen was well stocked. We came to understand unless you stay in the park there is nothing close to Yosemite. We ended with about 10 hours of driving to and from the park(s) over 3 days. We did go to Sequoia NP one day. The Wifi didn't work amazing for us, but I think it might be limitations from the provider not an issue with the house. Overall this place was really well taken care of, it took us back to the days of visiting grandparents when we were young. We are thankful for how well the house was prepared for us.

Great Secluded place In The Mountains

Great place too stay for our day trip into Yosemite! Coming from Ohio whole house fans are a little rare but once I learned how to use it we cooled the house down at night!

Family Vacation

Our family wanted to stay in the area of Yosemite but not around everyone. This was a beautiful place and worked for our family perfectly. It was an hour away from Yosemite but the drive was amazing.

Charming spacious place close to downtown Mariposa

I came here with 6 friends and we had a great time. I'm happy the rooms were on one side and the living room on the other so we could stay up late and not disturb everyone. The place was clean and the kitchen was nice.

We stayed at the house for 5 night and it worked great, plenty of beds, kitchen with everything you need to cook and equal distance to two of the Yosemite entrances. Nora was very responsive and helpful during our stay.

Fantastic family spot

We enjoyed our stay at Nora's Getaway! It was well stocked with towels, clean sheets, and plenty of kitchen amenities (including Mariposa coffee beans and a grinder to make your own fresh coffee in the morning (yum). It's about 45-60 min from Yosemite, but a beautiful drive all the way. Recommend!

Stunning house in the mountain

We liked the house — it was clean, and the owner was really nice. He gave us very clear instructions and even shared the nearest market in town, which was super helpful. As my daughter mentioned, it felt a little scary at night since it’s in a very quiet neighborhood.

Very nice place and plenty of room. The home was very spacious and clean. Our three boys had their own bedroom and bed and space to do their own thing. We would definitely stay here again on our visit to Yosemite!

Wonderful cabin retreat in the woods

Nora's Retreat is the perfect place to stay when you want to visit yosemite. About equal distance from El Portal and South gates. The cabin is well- stocked with all the basis, plus some extras that made it extra nice. Extras like pantry staples in the kitchen and extra bathroom stuff. Nora is very inviting and thoughtful. I highly recommend this place.
