We are located on the trail head of the forest service fire roads that span over 40 miles of amazing riding with views of the back country of Yosemite including a view of El Capitan seven miles from our house. Historical downtown Mariposa is 20 minutes away with gold mining and rock museums, shopping, restaurants and antique stores. You can pick up the YARTS bus into the park in several locations in town. It will power 5 circuits in the house for 6-8 hours.
Keywords: See our reviews by past guests who have loved our home away from home. A comment we constantly get from guests is how cool, lush and heavily wooded our area is compared to the lower elevations in Mariposa. One of our guests little girl described our property as being like 'Narnia'. Surrounded by oaks, pines and a seasonal creek. There are frequently deer and wild turkeys strolling around the property. Our home is also available for exchange in Europe and the U.S.

About the host
Hosted by Eileen Blankenhorn
We have loved our home in the mountains since 2003 with many family and friend gatherings. Living in a large city, it is nice to escape to an area where people do not even lock their doors.
Why they chose this property
Our home is located at a 4,000 ft. elevation rich in forest life, cool summers and beauty unlike the lower elevations in Mariposa. We bought in this area because of the extreme beauty of the surroundings and accessibility to hiking and bike trails. We have filled our home with art and decor from our wonderful travels.
What makes this property unique
Located in a serene, quiet neighborhood, beautiful wooded property and excellent roads!
