#1 We've had an amazing time in exceptionally beautiful House Kamanza ! The service was excellent and the house location was very central and convenient for visiting the city throughout. Will definitely consider renting it again next time over and recommending it to anybody visiting Kyoto at anytime of the year !
#2 This property made our Kyoto visit a special and memorable one. It was super conveniently located with a subway station a few minutes walk away, a convenience store around the corner, a few grocery stores within walking distance, and a number of bus routes down the street, and a few major sightseeing destinations (Nishiki Market, Nijo Castle, Kyoto Imperial Palace) within walking distance as well.
The host was responsive and also gave us helpful information about local events and getting to the property from Kyoto Station. A staff member was there to greet us upon arrival, as well as when we left. The host also provided a binder of local restaurants as well as a local map which was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this gem and the host for your Kyoto visit! ====================================================

Our family of 7 loved staying in this home.
The host met us at the property at check in and was very gracious. The tatami mats were very comfortable as were the beds. We were able to walk to a number of attractions like Pontocho, Nishiki market, Nijo Castle, great eateries and shopping.
Overall a fantastic home to stay in, especially for larger families.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the poor hot water in the sink. It has already been adjusted and is now coming out. We are looking forward to seeing you next time. Thanks!
This was the biggest listing I’ve ever booked in Kyoto. It was close to Karasuma station & a lot of good eateries. Additionally, this place was close to Nijo castle, & one of Kyoto’s Pokémon centers. The house itself felt comfortable, calming, & very accommodating. I’d recommend this listing to anyone.

Overall, a great stay. Be aware that though it says whole house, the upstairs has a seperate entrance. This is a traditional japanese townhouse. Bathrooms are upgraded. TV is not huge. Small sitting area. The interior garden is nice. We kept the sliding doors closed to improve ac. Locations is outstanding. Near many attractions and restaurants.

This house had everything you’d need for a longer stay. Paper towels (a luxury in Japan rentals!), bedding, dishes, bathroom supplies, etc. We traveled with my spouse’s sibling & kids so the split level worked well for us.
The owners/staff arrive at check in to go over expectations & how-to’s and were very good at communicating prior to check-in.

Hello, everyone! The team manages the townhouse. We are 2 woman and 2 male who live in Kyoto and Osaka! We will do our best to support you during your stay. Your trip to Kyoto will surely be a special trip. Please feel free to contact us anytime!
Why they chose this property
I liked the typical 'eel' shape as called in Kyoto (the front side is not so wide and the house extends in length). I thought it could be so nice to preserve this townhouse and make our guests even for few days to live as Kyoto people lived for centuries with traditions plus a more today comfort in the daily house use.
What makes this property unique
The benefits of this townhouse is keeping the traditional sides and add some modern touch to satisfy our international guests needs, and also the location: in central Kyoto but in a quiet street. At five minutes walking distance there is Nijo Castle, where the Shogun lived, old more than 400 hundreds years. Many other places to visit are at a walking distance, like Rokkakudo Temple called the navel of Kyoto connected with the famous ikebana school Ikenobo, the Imperial Park, or colourfull Nishiki food market. Bus stops are very close as banks, post office, museums, art galleries, every kind of restaurants, cafes, bars...and more and more!
