Secluded Tree-Top Cabin on West Seattle Waterfront
Our private woodland cabin is only 150 yards away from the beautiful West Seattle/Alki waterfront and 500 yards from the 10 minute water taxi to downtown Seattle. It features a King room, sleeper sofa, and a kitchenette.
Our 80 year old Tiny Tipsy Cabin is perfect for guests looking for unique beauty and convenience, without all the amenities of a hotel.
NOTES: Steps to House. Seclusion = No Internet & Weaker Cell Service.
The space * Cozy, rustic, King bedroom * Large claw-foot tub & shower * Kitchenette w/sink, portable induction cooktop, coffee & tea bar, mini fridge, microwave & basic pots, pans, dishes and silverware * Full sleeper sofa with sheets in living room
Our 80 year old historic shipbuilder's cabin is on a slight tilt, has running water, electricity, and most modern conveniences(minus internet). Lofted up above the forest floor, you may see as many as 80 species of birds (including eagles and peregrine falcons), as well as the odd deer or beaver from the rocking chairs on your front porch!
The Fairmount Gulch is one of Seattle's last preserved river ecosystems, and the lack of pavement means winters can be damp and muddy, so be careful walking up to the cabin. Once inside the sliding glass doors you'll find a living room with walls of windows that look out to the treetops above and the creek below. Our guests enjoy playing with the board games we provide, reading a book on the porch, and soaking in the antique claw-foot tub.
We don't have a TV, but we do have the iconic view Downtown Seattle, our famous ferries, and our resident harbor seals just 300 feet away down the private dirt road. Truly a home trapped in time, the Tiny Tipsy Cabin is everything this old harbor town once was, and is steps away from the thriving metropolis Seattle has become. Truly the best of both worlds.
Please Note: Cabin is lofted up among the trees, and requires walking up 25 steps from the parking pad to the front door. Our property is wonderfully secluded in the trees, but that privacy also means that we have No Internet service available & Weaker Cell Service.

This cozy little cabin is exactly as described. It is a perfect, quaint home base that feels remote, but is close to everything you need. We explored West Seattle, took the water taxi to Downtown Seattle, hiked Chirico trail, and had a fantastic time with this warm, secluded home base.
Great stay within walking distance to the water taxi.

The green surround was charmingly rustic. Parking a little challenging and stairs slightly challenging (we are in our 70s). Warm and cozy - a lot like a treehouse.
Great little hideaway right in the center of Seattle! The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, the views are amazing, and you will feel like you are in a secluded place.
Such a unique spot in Seattle! Loved feeling like I was in the secluded woods, just to take 100 steps around the corner to see the beautiful Seattle skyline! Also minutes from the water taxi, and the restaurants right along the waterfront of Elliot Bay did not disappoint!!
Small, but perfect for our family of 4. We walked to the Ferry and explored the city!!

Stay at Tipsy Cabin
If you want drills - this is not the place for you - if you are looking for a place to sleep it works. The spot is a little off beaten path but accessible to ferry which is great.
This is a cozy, and peaceful wooded cottage close to the city. Overally it was a great stay - walking distance to the ferry to downtown Seattle and the beach. We had a fantastic time and ejoyed our stay.
This is a very rustic experience. We loved it! We were there during a "heat wave" but the fans provided made it comfortable. We loved feeling like we were in our own quiet paradise and then just around the corner was a beautiful view of the Seattle skyline. I broke my foot be
an adorable tipsy cabin in west seattle; come for the woods and peaceful neighborhood. great restaurants within 2 miles, beach within 2 minute walk, downtown within 5 minute drive.
This is perfect location. You feel so tucked away but the city is all around you. Was perfect for getting scub certified as the certification area was just down the drive way. There also is wifi. I believe the listing says there is not but there is.
Has potential to be very cute and cozy. Unfortunately, it was not. No response from the host when we reached out several times. Disppointing, given all of the other wonderful properties with other VRBO hosts.

Cute place, nice location. Light fixture in kitchen didn't seem to work, very dark in there. Overhead bedroom light didn't work. Bedside lamps were very dim, we bought light bulbs so that we could use the bedside lamps, and had to take them into the dining room to use the table.Dog hair from a previous guest was all over.House was very cold when we arrived and it took us a while to find the heat
Best vacation spot ever! We had a blast! It was everything we wanted, small & cozy with the feel of Seattle but our own private sanctuary. Our 5 year married, 11 years together vacay retreat was amazing!
We had a wonderful stay! It was cute and clean, perfect for what we wanted. Great place to unplug and just be together. Felt like we were in the woods but were close enough to hop on a ferry to Seattle! Hopefully we will get the chance to stay again!
We stayed the weekend prior to a cruise. We loved the West Seattle community. We walked everywhere!! The cabin is in a great location. It was plenty big enough for the two of us. It is very clean and cozy. We would definitely stay again.
We loved our stay in this upper level, cozy flat. It was super minimalist, yet had everything we needed. Close to a healthy grocery store and, best of all, a 7-min walk to the passenger ferry that goes right downtown in 15 min!
It was what I want. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Being a short distance from the walking trail and the water taxi made it perfect. Will stay there again.
