About this property

Cottage 3 is great for family , & fishing on Lake Osakis!

Cottage 3 has a complete kitchen set-up: dishes, silverware/knives, pans, microwave, oven/stove, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, coffee pot (we provide filters). The "L" shaped kitchen/living room has a futon in it. We provide kitchen soap and bathroom hand soap but you need to bring your own kitchen towels, bath towels, & paper towels. It also has heat, A/C, and cable. Bathrooms have a sink and shower. We provide toilet paper and all bedding. This cottage has its own deck with fire pit, deck furniture and charcoal grill.

Lake Osakis is a 6,270-acre lake located in the town of Osakis on Interstate #94. It is one on Minnesota's top fisheries with both large and smallmouth bass, northern pike,crappies and big sunnies. But Walleyes are the most sought after prize on the lake. Osakis has a tremendous Walleye population with a great population of fish in the "keeper" range plus those "trophy fish."

Idlewild Resort

There was no heated pool as stated in the amenities. The shower was very tiny, there was a big gap under the door and at the top of the door. We were thankful that the mosquitos weren't out, because the cabin would have been full of them. The stove and oven had to be lit with a match, which would have been fine, but there were not instructions in regard to that, nor were there any matches. Just an overall poor choice of places to stay.

I do advertise these as fishing cabins, & also try to let everyone know t hey were neglected for at least 12 years...with that said, my husband daughter and I will keep working on them to bring them back to the condition they are supposed to be in. Since it is our second season renting them out we are going to keep making them better every season. I wish you luck with other rentals.

It was a perfect week at the lake! The cottage was cute and in a wonderful location. We will be back

Janet and family are wonderful owners and shared exciting upcoming enhancements for their guests. The cottages and surroundings provided us with much needed rest and relaxation.

We have updating to do this fall, since we have only owned these a year, we are going to be taking care of someone else's 14 plus years of neglect. These are located on a lake. They do not face the Lake. Thanks for your input, a new shower will be taken care of this fall, and safe travels to you and your family!
