Sandy Shores is VERY well taken care of, and clean house. We enjoyed our time there. Everything we wanted or needed was in the house. All amenities were top notch. Enjoyed the clean hot tub. We would stay here again.

The house is really, really nice, just as pictured. We visited in the winter so we could experience the Muskegon Luge and do some ice fishing. The kids loved the hot tub and the indoor fire places were really enjoyable.

Wonderful stay!

We had a phenomenal week with extended family. Property is very clean and well stocked. Communication with host was superb. We enjoyed the clean lake and beach toys every day, including fishing, kayaking and boating. Location is ideal to Michigan Adventure, Lewis Animsl Farm, Muskegon and other lakeshore cities. Bridget, I spoke with our pool and spa cleaning company about your concerns on the hot tub cleanliness. They keep detail records on the chemicals levels, make notes on the condition that it is when they arrive, etc. The hot tub was cleaned the day prior to your arrival. The PH level was on target along with the other chemicals checked. There was no scum in the hot tub. Someone in your party had lotion, or hair products on them. This is how scum is created, and the reason we ask that each occupant is free from these items before entering the tub. With your comment that you had to remove the scum daily is confirmation that the scum was created by someone in your party, unfortunately.

Wonderful, relaxing vacation

We rent from VRBO every year, and I think this house was the cleanest we have been to! It was the perfect setting, right on the water with a Sandy beach. 10 of us fit comfortably. We spent most of the days playing in the water with the pontoon boat, kayaks, paddle boards, fished off the dock! Great week! So close to Michigan Adventure, we will be back!

Absolutely perfect

This house is amazing—has absolutely everything you need and the beach is everything you could want. We had kids from 2 to 10 in the house and they loved it all—the two year old could walk almost 20 feet out without concern as it’s very shallow. 10/10 and will for sure be back.

The rental was very nice & clean. Supplied with everything we needed. Some negatives were that it was difficult to adjust the temperature & no shades on the lower level. The weather was terrible most of the week, so we were only able to use the pontoon boat a few times.

Thank you for your review. Yes, unfortunately you had a bad week with the weather and I’m very sorry about that. We usually have wonderful hot summers, but this year it’s seems to be raining more than usual for the earlier part of June. The lower level has a lot of privacy due to the layout of the outside structure and heavily tinted windows. So we felt that blinds are unnecessary, and the view is gorgeous. I don’t remember any suggestions from over the years of Guest’s referencing any blinds. With the weather you had during your week, I can believe, you had to decide if you should turn on the a/c or heat.

A lake of your own...

Great rental house for a quiet Summer holiday week. Perfectly clean, well equipped, plenty of room inside and outside. We really enjoyed the beautiful lake : boating (great pontoon boat rental) or just sitting on the deck and admiring the view. Swimming in the lake was so super that we didn’t even use the hot tube. Very respectful and quiet neighbourhood. Communication with Kathy went fluently and deposit was quickly refunded.
