Clam Lake Lake Front Property, right off Torch Lake Michigan and Lake Bellaire

This delightful lake front cottage is clean, comfortable and ready for summer fun & treasured memories!

The main floor has an open floor plan and a wall of windows facing the lake.

The 2nd Floor has a wide window facing the lake and has 4 twin beds. There are privacy panels on the 2nd floor so you can divide the floor into two halves.

The comfortable kitchen has a large table for meals, and is a great place to play games or cards.

The enclosed front porch (a 'mud room') and holds plenty of your gear.

There is a small porch off the lakeside door is the perfect spot to have morning coffee or for a quiet place to read.

The bathroom is new. And Beautiful!

From the house, a tiered deck opens to the rolling, sun-splashed lawn and down to the lake. It is where you will want to watch the sun rise and hear the loon's calling; spend long days swimming, lounging, playing games, and fishing right off the huge dock, with stairs at the end of dock for easy walking up/down into lake. Kids will love these dock stairs. You will too.

Bring your boat to tie up at the amazing dock for day trips out onto breath-taking Torch Lake (5 minute Boat Ride), to the sand bar, down one of the meandering rivers to the many other lakes, great fishing - or tubing, waterboarding and other water sports!

Lake Bellaire is easily accessible if you snake through the epic Grass River.

Our location is 15 minutes from the quaint town of Bellaire and 10 minutes to picturesque Alden, where you will find excellent eateries and shopping. We are a stones throw down the road to Butch's Bait & Tackle shop, and 30 minutes away from downtown Traverse City. There are several awesome marinas in the nearby area that have speedboat, pontoon boat and kayak rentals. Shanty Creek Resort is just outside of Bellaire and features exceptional golf courses, top-rated by Golf Digest and Magazine.

We loved Clam Lake and the opportunity to explore Torch Lake and the small towns in the area. Golf great too. Looking forward to coming back as there is so much more to see and do. Cottage perfect!

Great home base for area

Really had a blast on our visit. The dock was awesome for our boat. Tons to do in the area too!! When the water on Torch is too rough bring the kids back to Clam Lake and pull your towable tubes or whatever! It was hot during our visit with no A.C., but bearable...

Wonderful, special vacation.

My husband and I and our Yorkie, Finn, stayed at Mark’s cottage on Clam Lake for three wonderful nights. We were unfamiliar with the area, but found the cottage perfectly located in the center of everything. We had dinner in Bellaire at Shorty’s and explored by auto around all the lakes. It's an easy drive to Elk Rapids. We brought our pontoon boat and it was so easy to launch at the free public launch right across from Mark’s cottage. We took the boat up the Grass River to Lake Bellaire. Gorgeous! Jim is a professional photographer and took some spectacular shots. We also boated to Elk Lake down the Torch River through Lake Skegemog, as well as up and down Torch Lake. The cottage was perfect to return to each day. So comfortable, so spacious, with all we needed. Mark is very caring and concerned for his guests' comfort. A great host. It was a special getaway for us. We hope to be back!

Life is good on Clam/Torch lake

Aside from the cool front that came in midweek. We had a great time. Dock was sufficient for our 245 sundowner. No need to take it in and out. Very short ride to Torch Lake also. Cabin was well furnished and comfortable. Nice quiet area, and our labs loved jumping from the dock. Close to shopping and several nice golf courses in the area. Would definitely stay again.

Clean comfortable and relaxing

We had a great time! The cottage is so spacious! We had guests one night and sleeping arrangements were not an issue. We enjoyed sitting on the deck looking over the water, and the fire pit right next to the water is nicely done. It was also very handy to have a grill already there, especially since Mark had the charcoal supplied. I appreciated the soft, clean bath towels, and all the other clean linens. The brand new dock easily accommodated our 25 foot pontoon boat. We took the boat from our dock into Bellaire for lunch, and went the other direction all the way to Elk Rapids. The weather was hot all week, but the cottage stayed cool and breezy with all the large windows. The TV is nice and the cable has a large selection of channels. The WiFi is really fast. Mark was a dream to work with! He was quick to respond to any questions we had, and offered his help for anything we needed several times. Overall, the cottage was beautiful and comfortable, and we would definitely stay again!

A peaceful retreat!

Our stay at Classic Clam Cottage was just right. The cottage was thoughtfully laid out and decorated. It was especially helpful for me to have a bedroom and bathroom on the main floor. The cottage is full of light during the day, and cool breezes off of the lake at night. The property and view are awesome! The dock had just been rebuilt before our arrival, and we rented a pontoon boat close by for a couple of days. We had everything we needed, and Mark was very responsive if any questions came up. Anyone in our family would recommend this rental for your summer vacation!
