Enjoy peaceful lakefront serenity in this stunning contemporary home, a perfect family retreat. This well appointed 3 bedroom/3 full bath home includes a walk out lower level with additional open sleeping space to accommodate multi-family getaways. The home features an open concept fully appointed kitchen/dining and great room with panoramic views of the lake. Located across from a nature preserve, listen to the call of the Loons, see the Bald Eagles and the Deer that visit the lake in the mornings. The large upper deck with sun awning offers outdoor dining for 8, screened sun porch with sectional, large outdoor gathering area with fire pit. Sleeping space includes1st floor master suite with king bed, two bedrooms up each with a queen bed and lower level walkout features flex space sleeping (3 full size beds and 4 singles (bunks), full bathroom. Lower level also includes a game area and family room with large flatscreen tv, pool table and walk out access to the flagstone patio/firepit area. Lower level also includes extra refrigerator for additional beverages. Waterfront features include a large dock space for your boat and kayaks, life jackets not included. The property does not have a swimming beach, Clam Lake is good for swimming off your boat and there is a beach nearby on Torch Lake located by Dockside Restaurant.

Fun family time

This home is beautiful and has lots of extras to help make the stay easier (spices, baggies, toiletries, throw blankets, games, etc). The view of the lake and swan family is fantastic - especially with a cup of coffee from the screened in porch. Beds were very comfortable and space was as described. Would recommend!

Great location

Beautiful property on Clam Lake. Very quiet area. Great spot to dock/rent a boat and enjoy Clam Lake and Torch Lake. House is very spacious with very comfortable beds.

Great Stay

This location fit our family perfectly. It was in a great spot to be able to enjoy quiet Clam Lake or Torch Lake as well. Owners we very kind and easy to get ahold of for questions and concerns.

The perfect place

Family Time on the Lake

Clam Haven is a beautiful home inside and out to gather as a family to spend time together, enjoy nature and find a spot to slip away and spend time alone. The layout of the house was perfect for 8 adults and one baby. We will choose it again when coming to this slice of beauty in Michigan. Host is very responsive and hospitable. Thank you!

Great phone, great location

Lots of room for big groups, including multiple families. Lots of space and privacy throughout. Great location if you don't mind a boat ride to get to some more swimming friendly shorelines.

Great Friend Réunion Location

Met here with a group of adult friends and everyone loved the house and location. Private and scenic Clam Lake was a great hideaway from the business of Torch Lake, but it is a short boat ride to get to Torch or Bellaire. The use of the dock was wonderful and allowed a lot of flexibility throughout the day for different schedules and changing weather. We are highly likely to book again. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Perfect for our Family

This is a fantastic property with plenty of room both indoors and outdoors. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We rented a boat from Butch’s Marina and it was just a short drive from the property and easy access to Torch lake. We’d definitely stay here again.

A lovely stay with gorgeous views of the lake

We had a great time at the property this year. Everything from making s'mores in the fire pit, to grilling and dining in the eat-in-kitchen or on the deck, and the fun times relaxing in the living room with the gorgeous views of the lake created lasting memories for the family. Shelly is responsive and very nice. The house is roomy and comfortable and we hope to return again!

Nice Lake House w/Beautiful Views!

The home is as advertised... Very nice, clean and accommodating. Newly renovated w/great views of the lake and mountains...very picturesque! I didn't have a large party but it could have easily slept more. As a bonus: The owner Shelly was a pleasure to work with. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Overall, everything was good. The fan over the bed in the master bedroom makes a lot of noise at higher setting. The fan in the master toilet is really loud and should be replaced. Otherwise, communication was excellent with the homeowner.

Great house and location

We enjoyed our stay. Boated to torch one day and down grass river to lake bellaire another day. Caught perch and pike and had fun tubing. Loved campfire and star gazing. Played board games on our rainy night. House was great size for our group. Thank you!!

Best view on Clam Lake

We had the best time on our annual family summer vacation. The accommodations were perfect for our family with 4 teenagers. We did bring our pontoon and were able to enjoy both Lake Bellaire (35 min river ride) and the Torch Lake Sandbar (50 min ride). Cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Family Fun

This was our second stay at this amazing house and peaceful property! We love it! Shelly is an amazing host! The house is so spacious! We love the pool table, fire pit, kayaks and of course watching the wildlife with beautiful Clam Lake in the backyard! Torch Lake Sandbar is a short 20 minute pontoon ride away! We can wait to come again!

Great vacation home!

Our family, six adults and five kids, all agreed that our vacation on Clam Lake was one of the best! The house worked out perfect for our yearly gathering. The home is well maintained and has plenty of room to relax after a day of boating and kayaking. The kids loved the pool table and made use of the fire pit every night. We all enjoyed sitting around the fire and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The older boys caught fish everyday and we're thrilled that they could fish off the dock. We highly recommend renting this home!

We've had a cottage on Clam Lake for over 20 years and we’ve been renting out our home on VRBO for over 10 years. We're from southeast Michigan with plans to retire to Clam Lake someday. MSU Grads, we're also both Automotive professionals. We love to travel and really enjoy hearing from our guests. Our goal is to provide you with a beautiful space to make memories with family and friends, we hope our guests will treat our home with respect and care… this is our pride and joy, not part of a big rental portfolio. We strive to provide the home to you in excellent condition however like any house, issues arise and we want to hear about it if you encounter anything that needs our attention.

Why they chose this property

Directly on the Lower Chain of Lakes there is boating/kayaking access to Lake Bellaire, Torch Lake, Lake Skegmog and Elk Lake. Quiet rural road, great for walking, running, biking.

What makes this property unique

There are lots of rentals in our area but we have stunning views of the Grass River Nature Preserve (no houses in our view) only one neighbor and our home sits on 2 acres. Our home is spacious, great for families with an entire lower level “kid zone” with a large sectional couch, tv, pool table, game table, full bathroom and sleeping area where they can all “camp out” together (3 double beds and two sets of twin bunks) there is also direct access to the fire-pit area. The large flat front yard is perfect for setting up volleyball/ badminton.
