Dishes were dirty, property was dusty. Air conditioning was out. Owner kept saying he needed to turn it off but never did. It ran but kept freezing up. We believe it was known before we got there because there was supply of filters in closet. Thermostats were set at 63 upstairs and 68 downstairs. Twice when I left I got a call about it but nothing was ever done. Window was broken in one bedroom so you could not open to let cool air in. Owner stayed on property. Not that we had anything to hide but back deck was not private. I don't normally complain. But, my older daughter split cost and had bedroom with broken window. I hope this gets fixed and next tenant does not get run around. Never got TV in living room to work upstairs. Very stressful and disappointing.
The price was right, accommodations were acceptable.
There was lots of space, lots of amenities. Plenty of towels, blankets, etc.only real complaints was cleanliness. It could use a deep clean. The house was generally clean, but edges, corners, etc were gross in a lot of places, and there were several bugs in the lower level near the plants.
Although this is an older home, it is well kept and clean. It had a homey feel that reminded me of going to visit my grandparents as a child. Just about anything you need to cook a home cooked meal was available. Pots, pans, Utensils, etc. Plenty of bedding. Games, etc. Easy drive to fort Leanord Wood. The communication with the owner was pleasant and he's the kindest man! My family enjoyed meeting up there for my sons OSUT graduation.
We stayed two nights and it was fantastic. The home is located fairly close to Ft. Leonard Wood. My soldier was especially impressed by the bathrooms but that might be due to the accommodations she has had over the past nine weeks. Chuck was great at communicating. I loved that I didn't need to bring anything extra. I will definitely be booking here again for any future trips to the area.
This was our second time using this rental. We had 10 family members stay and conveniently parked our three cars in the driveway. The location, just 20 minutes from Fort Leonard Wood base, was ideal for our visit. The host was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the house had a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
Great summer home feeling! Right off Highway 44. Perfect place for visiting our son at Fort Leonard Wood. The owner, Chuck, was very friendly and answered any questions we had. We will definitely use it again when in the area.
This property was just off the highway so it was nice and easy to get to. Felt odd when we first walked in as it feels more like we were in someones home than a short term rental. Plenty of space but lucky one teen did not come with as the access to the basement was not ideal for a family with lots of kiddos. Luckily we did not need to utilize the basement at all. Some areas were not cleaned very well but we were allowed to check in early so that was very nice. Affordable price so can't complain. Thank you!
Lots of sleeping places and comfortable home. Needs deep cleaning though. One queen bed had dirty (crusty) sheets and blankets. Also host lives on site in a garage apartment which was unexpected.
Our stay was short, we basically got there to sleep and got ready the next morning to get back on the road ... but... our stay was everything we needed!
Chuck was a great host, he reached out as soon as the reservation went through which was a month before our stay, and called with updates or to see if we had questions.
The layout of home was perfect for us, 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 little ones.
Beds were comfy.. we got there at 1am and getting in was easy... home was ready and the AC was set so it was a nice cool restful night! We all got plenty of rest and still had 2 hours to pace ourselves to get ready without rushing... checkout at 12pm!
I wish we had more time to enjoy the property because the home is nice and cozy and also has a nice yard and balcony area! Easy access too, right off the interstate and a short turn around!
Thank you for having us!
We loved our stay it was very relaxing. House wasnt too far from the base. Was perfect for my daughters OSUT family day and graduation. We came back and had a BBQ with grill located on property. There was everything we needed.
Thank you for opening your home to us.
