In the Middle of Majesty

My college roommates and spouses spent a wonderful 5 days touring Yellowstone and Gran Tetons. 8 Fins lodge was the perfect location to access the wonders of both parks. 8 Fins met all our needs -- comfortable, inviting and relaxing. Highly recommend.

Yellowstone 2020

We loved our stay at 8 Fins Lodge. The Lodge is very accommodating and has plenty of space to gather or retreat to your own bedroom/bath. For our family the one level was perfect and not easy to find in Lodge rentals. A lot of detail went into planning and design of this beautiful Lodge! Thank you for sharing your Lodge with us!

Epic Yellowstone vacation!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property! Nestled in a secluded setting close to the highway, it was the perfect accommodation for our family gathering. The cabin/home was ideal for me, my husband, our adult children, and young grandchildren. Each bedroom having a private bathroom was incredibly convenient for our group. The spacious kitchen and great room were perfect for cooking, playing games, and watching TV in the evenings. The 30-minute drive to West Yellowstone offered breathtaking views. We highly recommend this place—10/10!

Super clean. Very well appointed with everything you need. Stayed here for a few days at midpoint of a long road trip. Showers were hot, beds were very comfortable. Tons of room for nine of us to spread out. Tons of outdoor fun right nearby- Fishing, hiking, swimming in the river. Restaurants nearby. Overall- A+

Great Yellowstone Base

Just left 8 Fins after a 3 night stay. Great base for two full days in the park. Plenty large enough for our group. Each bedroom can comfortably sleep 3 and each has its own bathroom. Plenty of kitchen equipment. We cooked breakfast and dinner during our stay. We even had a couple of deer outside our window one morning. Loved this house!

Perfect for 4 couples.

The home and property is exactly as described. It is new, beautiful and in great condition with everything we needed. All the bedrooms are identical except the front bedroom next to the kitchen has a tub/shower combo while the rest have walk-in showers. We all thought the beds were fine. It was right at 35 min to the Yellowstone entrance and a beautiful drive into West Yellowstone, which is a cute little town. We saw a fox and moose on the property. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

Outstanding property

This is a new property, very clean and well kept. Decorated with style, spacious, homey. The pictures are not doing justice of how nice this house is. Very well stocked with everything you need. We stayed at many private properties, this is the best we've had so far. Check in and communication with owner/ manager was excellent. They got back to us right away. The little town is quite nice, couple of good restaurants, people very friendly and welcoming. The property is 33 miles away from west entrance of Yellowstone, took us about 35 min to get there. Not too bad. We would definitely come back again and recommended this to our friends.

Perfection

Could not have asked for a better experience for our family reunion. The house was gorgeous and perfect for our every need. Especially appreciated the first aid kit provided as my mother-in-law took a tumble and was in need of band-aids. The owners of this home have thought of everything. One of my favorites was the thoughtful notes of things to do and sites to see in the area. We went and explored all of the areas they suggested and loved every minute of it. We would never have seen those things if they hadn't taken the time to write them down for us. So appreciated!

50th Birthday Celebration

We came out to explore Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons for my 50th birthday. The house was amazing and perfect for 8 females since there were 4 bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The house was spacious and immaculate. The location was beautiful near two state parks and Yellowstone. The house was open and inviting, perfect for entertaining a group. The kitchen was large and had all the amenities you could need. Everything was well stocked. We loved that there was laundry available to us as well. Everyone loved the house. If I had to say one downfall was the proximity to the neighbors. In the description it made it sound much more secluded than it was. Knowing we are a large group that can be loud, we really wanted that seclusion so not to disturb anyone. Otherwise, it was perfect!

Peaceful, spacious, relaxing, well appointed

We had a fantastic time in this beautiful property! The spacious great room with towering ceiling was a fantastic place for all 9 of us to gather and enjoy the evenings. 4 bedrooms each with full bath and a powder room provided a perfect combination of privacy and togetherness for our group of 9 including two couples, young adults, teens, and toddlers. We even spotted a female moose bedding outside the front door! Thank you for having it so well stocked with sweet smelling firewood (hickory?) cut and ready, gas and lighter ready for the grill, even dish soap and laundry detergent were ready to go! Only critique/suggestion would be considering A/C. Only time we noticed any road noise was when we were sleeping with windows open to cool (in fairness, it was >90 degrees during our stay, doubtless rare in Island Park area). Great location in an amazing pocket of country! Situation permitting, we'll definitely be back to this cabin!

Gorgeous house!

Great location, about 30min from the West Entrance of Yellowstone Park and two hours from Teton Park. The house itself is well thought through, every bedroom has it's own bathroom and everything is pristine clean. We were two families of four (teen and preteen kids), everybody had privacy, no "morning jam" in a bathroom. WiFi worked very well, not only the kids were happy about it, but there isn't much reception in Yellow Stone Park, so, if you want to download pictures or confirm your flight, it's important to have it. We're from NJ and MA, and as much as we want to enjoy the "away from it all", we need the technology too. Gorgeous house, the craftsmanship is obvious, decoration is so fitting, we had a great time there. Absolutely no problems, owners responded in a heart beat when we "needed" the code to the door (a day ahead) We would recommend this house to everybody. Thank you for having us!

Location, Location, Location.....

If you are heading to the Henry’s Fork there is not a better place to stay than the 8 Fins Lodge. Less than a 1/4 mile from the Box Canyon take out boat ramp, this home / lodge provides a perfect location for your fishing needs. 8 Fins was perfect for our group of 8 men. There are 4 bedrooms, each having a queen and a XL twin bed. Additionally each bedroom has its own full bathroom. Which is a luxury we are not use to. The living space is very open a spacious and comfortable. The Kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessities all you need to bring is your food and beverages. We did run out of propane for the outdoor grill, I sent email to the host and within minutes some was there with a full tank - Wow super impressive. Again if you are looking for a base camp for fishing and or sight seeing there is not a better, more accessible, comfortable home than the 8 fins lodge.

8 outdoor lovers/anglers joined together to build 8 FINS Lodge to share a special place with others that celebrate the outdoors and all that Mother Nature presents to us - from fly-fishing the infamous Henry's Fork River to exploring the amazing natural beauty of Yellowstone National Park.

Why they chose this property

8 FINS Lodge is approximately 35 minutes from West Yellowstone & the entrance to Yellowstone National Park and walking distance from the Henry's Fork River. Backed up to forest service land, guests can head out for a quick walk through the forest, and the central location makes this the perfect "home base" for day trips to Yellowstone or Grand Teton National Parks, sightseeing, enjoying one of the area lakes/reservoirs, fishing, biking or other outdoor adventures.

We had the opportunity to purchase one of the last sizeable lots that borders forest service land and build a new lodge that could accommodate a large group. The convenience to all Island Park ammenities was also very attractive. Our guests can explore the area as much as they would like and come back to enjoy the beauty that our location provides. Don't be surprised if you see a fox playing in the sagebrush behind the Lodge!

What makes this property unique

Not only are the 8 FINS partners passionate anglers, we also love to explore & have fun - from dawn to dusk. We have been hands-on throughout the process of bringing 8 FINS Lodge to life, paying attention to where the sun rises and sets for optimal enjoyment, easy in & out for trucks/boat trailers, open concept living space to bring everyone together for meals and downtime, and testing out local activities (food to fishing) to make sure this is the best experience for our guests. If you're not staying here, we are!
