The property was clean and well stocked. The living room had a great view of the Bay! We found great restaurants in the area. With the record heatwave the unit got warm at night, but the fans do help.

It was a lovely stay. Great hosts. I’m not sure that the listing is entirely clear…it is an 2nd floor apartment created within the historic Edwardian home. The unit was modern, spacious, comfortable, and clean. There is one closed bedroom, one bathroom, a kitchen/living area where there is a lofted twin bed. The owners are in the process of making improvements (new locked gate, window repairs needed), so if you’re ok with using AC and not windows, the stay is comfortable. The outside of the home could use some clean-up (stored cars and other items). However, that did not entirely take away from the experience, and I know the owners (also busy parents of 4!) intend to address that. Perks: beautiful view of San Rafael and the inner bay, nice shower and amenities, bidet, great kitchen to cook in! Good value…would stay again!

The location is great for either a trip to wine county or either side of the bay. The place was clean, comfy, and had a beautiful view. It was a great experience and I would recommend the rental to anyone looking to stay near San Rafael.

Great mini-vacation

The property was clean, comfortable and the perfect home base for traveling to Muir Woods, Point Reyes, Tiburon and Napa. We enjoyed our stay and will book the property again when in the area.

Definitely recommend

The apartment was a perfect size for us. The beds were very comfortable and the garden/views were beautiful. It's right off the 101, so easy to access. Walkablity is 5/10, but very easy drive to coffee and restaurants.

Great little find

Very much enjoyed my stay here. Everything was clean, lots of amenities etc. Easy to find and access location wise. David was so helpful when I had a question for him, responding immediately and well. It’s a really interesting building and has a lot of character. Some quirkiness too.

SO clean and cozy. I wish i stayed longer. My 5 year old loved the top bunk and the “secret closet” in the room. Shower was amazing. Balcony a +++++.

Lovely and conveniently located place. Only slight complaint is that it really isn't in any way a two bedroom despite what the listing said. Otherwise great.

I spent 3 years renovating this property. I spared no expense to preserve its classic 100 year old Edwardian architecture.

This is a 100 year old Edwardian Mansion over looking the San Francisco Bay and only 13 minutes from the city of San Francisco. Minutes away from the Ferry terminal. We raise chickens in our backyard and you may even get some fresh organic eggs!
