We had a great stay at this home, it was very clean and organized. Quiet neighborhood and convenient to places around. Would definitely stay here again when we are back in Melbourne
This is a very sweet, comfortable house with everything you need for a great stay - walking distance to town and a short drive to the beach and great restaurants. Our dog LOVED the fenced-in yard and we loved sitting on the front porch for happy hour. The real highlight of our stay though was the responsiveness and kindness of our hosts. We had two incidents come up that were absolutely no fault of the owners but affected our stay, and within minutes of reaching out to Beth and Glenn, they came up with excellent solutions. They went above and beyond, and we would stay here again in a heart-beat -- thanks both!!

Appeared clean. Overwhelming damp/musty smell throughout home & in all fabrics..transferring to our clothing. Found roaches 1st morning, so didn’t use kitchen for fear of "sanitary" issues. Bbq was not available. Multiple issues with master tv, & all water in house was warm/hot except for master- only had cold. Outdoor water hose leaked & was rusted- so we couldnt hose down jet skis....All caused extra stress on my heart- leading to personal medical issues. Told owner after we left, as this was our first VRBO booking, & we didnt know to call while there, owners went there, but NOTHING was done to compensate for such a stay. Dogs liked the yard & chasing the lizards.

You brought these concerns to our attention upon your departure, and as we explained at that time, had you contacted us during your stay regarding any issues, we would have addressed them immediately to help ensure a more comfortable experience.
After receiving your feedback, we promptly (within the hour) investigated each concern. We found that the TV and hot water systems were functioning properly, and the matters appeared to be related to operational use, which could have been quickly resolved with a simple call, text, or email as outlined in the check-in instructions. The hose in the back does drip but is fully operational with a sprayer - again, if you couldn’t work the nozzle, a quick text or call could have solved that. Additionally, we had our regularly scheduled pest control provider inspect the property the same day. No evidence of roach activity was found, the traps set were empty, though the property was treated again as an added precaution.
As for the “damp/musty” smell claim, upon entry, it smelled like someone had smoked marijuana in the house - that smell certainly wasn’t there prior to your arrival.
Given that these concerns were not reported during your stay,l and we could find no evidence of your claims, we are unable to agree that they warrant a discounted stay.
For those reading reviews, please read further for a more balanced overview. There are definitely some people who complain just to get a discount.

Nice well fenced in secure cozy home with all the amenities. Hosts we very hospitable and nice to speak to. Definitely wish to stay here when in the area again.
Very nice older house that had snacks and waters available to us. Kitchen was outfitted with every utensil you could want. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. Beach access was a short drive away. Check out was very easy and communication with the owners was super simple. I would stay here again!

Second time staying at this lovely little cottage. The house was clean, well kept, beautifully decorated and has a spacious yard. My dogs absolutely loved the yard and we would absolutely stay here again.
We had a great stay at this house. We were in town for a softball tournament and it was a great place to relax and ha e down time between games. Close to the beach when we had a chance to go. Great yard for our dog! Definitely recommend it!
I’ve stayed at this property 3 times now. It is clean, comfortable, and convenient. The owners are available and responsive. I would stay here again without hesitation
The building and yard are a nice older property that has been very carefully updated. Description was accurate and communication with very good. It's only about a half mile flat walk (or bike with the included bikes, which we didn't try) to several restaurants.
This property had lots of charm! The neighborhood was close to many nice restaurants and historic areas in the town. We loved hearing the sound of the train throughout the day. It was very peaceful to sit on the front porch each morning and hang out in the back yard in the afternoon which our dogs loved playing in! We loved all the beautiful paintings and sea life decor. Lovely stay!!!!
My family and I had a wonderful time! The home was beautiful and clean. The owners were readily available and answered all of our questions. My son loved riding the bikes and my puppy loved the yard and being able to roam around without his leash. We also loved the dog beach!! We will definitely be returning next summer!!!

Why they chose this property
We love to travel but there is no place like home. We hope to give you all the comforts of home while you're away. Having a car is best to enjoy the area but Uber and Lyft are available and many shops, restaurants and bars are within walking distance.
What makes this property unique
The covered front porch, open floor plan and tropically landscaped backyard with its two gorgeous old oak trees made us fall in love with the house. Built in 1942, the home has been updated but retains its beautifully refinished oak floors and old Florida cottage charm. A large parking pad offers ample parking for your boat or RV and a fully fenced-in yard allows room for your dogs to run in the sun!
