Welcome to our family’s Steamboat retreat, loved since 1975 and now cared for by a second-generation sibling duo. One of the original resort units in the area, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath end unit offers a true slice of Steamboat Springs history—blending cozy charm with unbeatable slope access.

Location, Location, Location!

• Ski-in/ski-out access just a 3-minute walk away! Skip the hassle of parking, lugging gear, or corralling tired kids (I was carrying my own skis down this short walk by age 4!). From there, ski down and then hop on the gondola! A map of the ski access point is available on request.

• After a day on the slopes, gather in front of the wood-burning fireplace in a living room framed by dramatic two-story windows on three sides.
• The open floor plan makes it easy to relax, entertain, and stay connected—whether you’re enjoying a family dinner at the dining table or sipping a quiet morning coffee in the kitchen nook.

Our home maintains its original mountain character, including narrow spiral stairs inside and exterior stairs from the parking lot. Please review photos carefully, as this layout may not be ideal for guests with mobility challenges.

A great spot with easy parking (for two vehicles max) and a delightful, responsive, host! Clean and comfortable with tasteful updates. All bedrooms are upstairs. The spiral stairs are tight but they grew on us.

The condo was perfect for our brief visit to Steamboat. Location was perfect, home was cozy, clean, and easy to access. The spiral staircase was even more difficult than we expected. Caution should be taken for older folks who may have joint issues and folks with young children. Getting our bags up that staircase was not easy.

Like title says location is really good. Less than 5 min walk to ski in/ski out located past the Ski Inn. Not suited for elderly people cause the staircase is skinny

The location was good. The house seemed clean, just dated. Decor felt like 70s decor but was comfortable. The host was nice, and communication was great. The spiral stairs made for a good story later. They were narrow, and we had to put some work in, getting our bags up and down them. All the rooms are upstairs.Stairs inside and outside, so be prepaired, lots of stairs. We were winded but probably in better shape by the time we left. -Haha

Ideal Christmas condo

We promised our tween and teen daughters a white Christmas, and it was dreamy. Great communication with the helpful and friendly owner. The spiral staircase was no problem because we are a petite family, but rather than trying to lug our big ski luggage upstairs, I would bag items for each family member so our main luggage always remained on floor one. Highly recommend.

We loved this place. The aesthetic is definitely retro and the circular staircase is not for the faint of heart. But the furniture is comfy and the views are beautiful. Just a short walk down the street to slope access and short walk home off the slopes.

2024 Steamboat Skiing

Overall was satisfied with the accommodations and location. Bus stop is just down from the parking lot and you can travel most places in Steamboat by bus which is free. Having all of the sleeping areas upstairs was not a problem but the circular stairs to the sleeping areas might be difficult for some people. I would recommend and consider staying again.

A really great place to stay when in Steamboat!

We love the spaciousness of the condo and its proximity to the mountain. The description and the photographs were spot on! The condo is dated, which wasn’t an issue at all. You definitely need a vehicle if you’re gonna be staying here as it is quite difficult to get shuttles from that location, although it’s not impossible. The only reason why I deducted a star was because when we arrived, although it was extremely cold, it took two days for the apartment to come up to temperature. The rooms upstairs were incredibly hot at night and the first floor was very, very cold. We did happen to arrive during an incredibly cold part of the season. It just made it quite uncomfortable to lounge.

This was one of the best locations we could have booked for a late season snowboard trip. Clean, cozy, and absolutely comfortable. Close to Steamboat ski with easy access,. Will 100% book again.

Great spot close to the mountain

We loved our stay which made it easy to get to the mountain and had plenty of space for 5 of us. There is an “80s charm” to the place with a slightly sunken living room and vintage furniture. Will look to be back next year!

Pretty cool place. The staircase to get upstairs is wild so be careful. And make sure you wake up early on the last day to pack and do all the cleaning chores as you must leave by 10am !

We are the second generation of our family to enjoy our wonderful Steamboat home. I (Victoria) celebrated my first birthday here, and my dad took me down the slopes in a backpack when I was only one. Now my brother Edwin and I are sharing our childhood memories with you and managing our second home.

Victoria works for a charitable foundation on the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland and enjoys riding her horse, spending time on the boat, and cheering at youth sports games. Edwin is a USMC veteran living in Western Maryland where he enjoys living in the (slightly smaller than Colorado) mountains and manages construction engineering. He spends his free time working on his truck, hunting, and smoking meat.

Why they chose this property

Dad first came to Steamboat for a conference in 1973 and fell in love with the mountain and the town. Two years later he bought our home here and we've loved it ever since. As a family, we spent every possible vacation in Steamboat and know the mountain well! Dad, the ultimate ski-snob, will happily argue that Steamboat is the best place to ski in the USA!

What makes this property unique

Our home is a quick three minute hike down a road to reach a ski-in/out point at the second gondola tower. It's actually shorter to walk from the house than to park at the base and walk to the gondola!

Our living room has stunning views with two story windows on three sides of the area.
