I moved to Bridgton in 2018 and quickly fell in love with Long Lake, small town living and the peace and quiet in this beautiful cove. I spent the last 8 years in Los Angeles and realized it was time to create a life that included nature, peace, and quiet. While I loved living close to the beach in Santa Monica, I was tired of spending hours fighting traffic on the 405 and the 10. I decided during a long run in the remote trails of Malibu that it was time to go. Absolutely haven't looked back - I wake up to the sounds of loons and can't believe I get to live in such a beautiful location year round.

Why they chose this property

I've always wanted to live on the water - it's been my vision ever since growing up in Grand Rapids MI and visiting spectacular Lake Michigan as a child. For the past 20 years we've held an annual family reunion on the water and it's always where I can breathe more easily and see life's grander gifts. When friends encouraged me to move to Maine, I immediately fell in love with all the lakes and ponds. The moment I walked onto the property (albeit in mid-January with a frozen lake and snow-covered lawn) I knew it was meant to be. A home I get to live in year round with 2 Corgis and a guest cottage next door I get to share with my family, friends and renters.

What makes this property unique

This property is on a quiet road in a cove on Long Lake - a couple of blocks from a boat launch. It's directly across from the village of Harrison from which you'll hear the church bells ringing. It's quiet on this side of the lake because most traffic is on the opposite side heading to restaurants or getting gas. I'm discovering new reasons to love Lyons Cove Way every day!
