I've stayed here before and enjoyed the house. Enjoyed again but noticed lack of cleanliness.

Kitchwn floor wasn't clean when I arrived-- coffee dried on floor. Roach on the floor in main bedroom when I arrived, several dirty dishes in cabinets and vents didn't look like they'd been cleaned in months if not years. One of the blankets smelled dirty too. The bushes off the deck obscured the view greatly... ocean only visible in small section other than from upper deck. Cozy house but needs more attention to cleaning.

A lovely place and location

Overall, the home was a perfect place to stay-- very cozy, clean and convenient. The back deck is beautifully designed-- many seating areas and the "Sunset Perch" is perfect for, well, sunset watching-- and also for stargazing. I did run into a roach in the bathroom one morning-- pretty common at the beach and the dog run, although a great idea had broken glass all over it and I didn't feel comfortable letting my dogs in there. The kitchen was well appointed, which was nice given that many beach homes aren't. Overall, a great stay!

Quaint ocean getaway

Small cute ocean getaway. Great fun and perfect size house for a small family. Great access for my 85 yr old mother to have all living areas on one floor while also only a few steps down to the beach.

Awesome family vacation.

We all had a awesome time staying at Oak Island and at this house. It was a much needed family trip. We all had fun just hanging out on the deck and look out watch. If we decide to go to Oak Island again we will definitely look back into this house.
