Cozy cottage with direct river access - perfect for fishing or weekend escape

Welcome to Crooked Creek Property! There is so much to love about this cozy cottage right on Oak Orchard River. Let yourself in with the high-tech Nest keypad and get to enjoying the huge wrap around deck that overlooks the Oak Orchard River. The property provides privacy, and offers direct access to the River via a private walking path down the river bank. Enjoy your time on the creek fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, or just enjoying the beauty of nature.
The cottage has a well-equipped kitchen with stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. Enjoy the cozy living room that entertains with a 42" LED smart TV streaming live TV (including all locals) through YouTube TV. Guests are free to sign in to their subscription services to stream their favorite shows/movies. The large sofa sits right in front of the new wood stove and offers perfect sleeping for an additional guest.
The cottage has two bedrooms, the first offers a double bed, and the second has two twin beds. The bathroom has tub/shower combo and a separate heating unit for chilly mornings.
Bed linens, towels, and WiFi are all included in your stay. The kitchen is well stocked with everyday equipment, pots/pans, and utensils. There is a propane grill on the back deck. Lobster pots and burner are available upon request.
Other amenities: dual unit that provides heat and air conditioning, wood stove, fire wood, public water, security system.

River Access: Guests can access a private walking path down to the water. The path is steep but stoned, flat, and safe. Once at the bottom of the path, guests are welcome to fish from the docks or relax on the boathouse porch.
Note: Given the steep path, good balance is required, and walking the path is not allowed for anyone with mobility issues. However, with advance notice, we can provide transportation up/down from the river via UTV. Pets: We allow 1 pet with a maximum weight of 50 pounds. Guests will be assessed a pet fee when booking.

Perfect! Great spot near the lake and close enough to ride the Erie Canal trail. Kayaking the river and nearby Lake Alice were both very nice. Short drive to three state parks. The house was wonderful. Would definitely go again.

Cute cabin across the street from an apple orchard

Cute 2 bedroom cabin. It’s across the street from an apple orchard and a pond on the other side. Furnished with everything you need. Would stay there again.

Fishing and Relaxation

The Cottage is our "Go-To" when we come to NY to fish. The hosts are incredible to deal with. So friendly and helpful. The Cottage is cozy and has a great view of Oak Orchard River.

Love The Crooked Cottage

A peaceful getaway

We stayed for several days in the cottage for a work/anniversary getaway. The decor appeals to men with fishing themed fabrics but the colors, styling and comfort appeal to women too. Small but just the right size for a small group. Fishing is down a very steep hill- be prepared for heart pumping exertion. Wonderful, attentive property owners right next door.

Quaint cottage

This was such a lovely place to stay. We had a view of the river on one side and the apple orchards on the other. The host were very friendly and very responsive. We took a number of walks along the river. We even got some bird watching in. The cottage was very comfortable and clean with everything we needed. Impeccably maintained. Fresh flowers and cookies were waiting for us when we arrived. A much appreciated gesture. We hope to be able to return to this wonderful place.

Perfect home base for visiting upstate New York

Crooked Creek Properties Cottage was just what we needed. It was a clean, cozy, and comfortable place with beautiful country riverside scenery. We made it our home base as we spent 11 days exploring the area. We appreciated the extra touches of fresh flowers and welcoming snacks. Kayaks were prepped for us to explore the river for a very small additional fee. We were able to make day trips to places nearby like Niagra Falls, Palmyra Historical sites, Letchworth State Park, Rochester George Eastman and Susan B Anthony Museums, Corning Museum of Glass, Thousand Island boat tour, Rental bike rides on the Erie Canal trail in Pitsford, and multiple other locations in the area. Our host made our stay one that we won't forget. We would recommend this great spot to anyone looking for the perfect getaway.

Crooked Creek Cottage

First of all, Josh's (Property Owner) was wonderful. He ensured that any questions I had prior to the start of my mini vacation were answered quickly. About two days before arriving he sent directions as to the key pad, and additional information about the property - which was extremely helpful. Upon arriving I was greeted with a wonderful bouquet of flowers, a welcome note, and chocolate chip cookies. The note let me know how happy they were I was staying at their property, but also if I had any question to please not hesitate to reach out. About 45-minutes after arriving, Dan (other property owner) stopped by to make sure I had arrived okay, if I had any questions, and to again reach out if I had any concerns, etc. I was also able to meet their new puppy Finn. Though the owners live nearby, they made sure I had privacy and enjoyed my stay. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a weekend getaway or a mini vacation -- to check out this property. It is so clear the care they take in ensuring everything is top notch, and that their guests have a wonderful experience. They even provided bath towels!. Thank you Josh and Dan for ensuring my vacation was peaceful and the chance to disconnect. With the surrounding tree, I can only imagine how beautiful it is during the Fall. Again, thank you! Pam F. Amazing Fall Colors

Great location, river access was perfect! Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Perfect location to explore and then relax at this amazing cottage. We ate in a lot and kitchen had everything you would need and Weber grill was a plus.

Wonderful place

My husband and I enjoyed 3 nights and 4 days at this lovely, peaceful cottage. The property managers (hosts) went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The cottage was clean and inviting. Honestly, everything was almost perfect. My only disappointment is that they're booked up and we can't stay another time or two this year. Definitely 5 Stars!!!

Excellent property located in quiet area

Enjoyed two weeks stay at the property with friend and family on a fishing trip. Excellent location with accommodating owners. Rental clean as a whistle and great for 3 or 4 family/friends. One owner lives next door and was available if we needed anything as was Josh another owner. Looking forward to staying again next summer! Thanks for sharing your property!
