Maison Rouge

Welcome to Maison Rouge, the first and most central house at The Lookout at Lake Chelan!

Location, Location, Location. Sitting just across from The Lookout’s central park, Maison Rouge is a stone’s through from all that The Lookout has to offer. Just across the street is a large park like setting with a swimming pool, hot tub, expansive grass lawn, kids’ playground, pickle ball court and gas fire pits. Relax on the front porch and enjoy an early morning cup of coffee or take in the sunset over Lake Chelan. Just across the street is a large outdoor fireplace with plenty of seating for friends to gather at the end of the day and enjoy their favorite wine or make s’mores. This house is the ideal location!

Room for All. With 4 bedrooms and 3 ½ bathrooms, Maison Rouge comfortably sleeps 10 people. The master bedroom is conveniently located on the main floor and includes a large 5-piece master bathroom. The two bedrooms on the second floor have their own private bathrooms and provide all the amenities you would expect to make your stay enjoyable. Also on the second floor, the bunk room has two twin size bunk beds and a media/game center. The property has plenty of room for a group of families, but at the same time does not feel too large for a single family.

Unparalleled Amenities. Your vacation in Chelan should be luxurious! The house is appointed with plush amenities that will make the difference in your Chelan stay. Each room has a TV for you to enjoy your favorite shows via multiple streaming services, or you can gather in the family room and watch your favorite movies on the 65” TV. Other amenities include an outdoor patio area with a dining area and chaise lounges, a private hot tub with massage jets where you can take in the stars above, Adirondack chairs to relax on the wrap around porch, Bluetooth sound, high-speed internet, a gas fireplace, a fully loaded kitchen, a kids’ Media area/game room complete with Flat Screen TV and Xbox and a secret “kid’s cave” for the younger vacationers to enjoy. The kitchen provides you with all the coffee options, including a Keurig, Nespresso and a regular coffee maker for your morning boost!

The bunk room was perfect for the kids. It was really nice to be able to bring our dog with us and there were parks close by. We enjoyed pickleball. Chelan is a cute town. We would definitely come back!

Great for a ladies getaway weekend

We had a blast hanging at the house and down on the lake. It’s a gorgeous place with all of the necessary cooking amenties.

We like the layout - especially the bunk beds in the upstairs bedroom - perfect for the kids! We had a minor issue (a wasp nest outside the back door) and the staff took care of it quickly after we notified them.Our only complaint was that the mattress in the smaller upstairs bedroom was too soft.

We stayed there for a long weekend and had a great time both in the cottage and on the property - mostly at the pool. The house was exactly as described, with plenty of room for all of our party to sleep comfortably and spend time together without being under each other's feet all the time. Our kiddo especially loved the little nook off the bunk room for some quiet time and relaxation! The property was clean and well maintained and we felt very taken care of the entire weekend. We would absolutely recommend Maison Rouge and the Lookout to anyone looking for a getaway at Lake Chelan!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Ideal location between downtown Chelan and Manson with a great layout for multiple adults traveling together. Spacious living room, plent of dining space inside and out, and a well equipped kitchen. Having a primary bedroom as well as 2 mini bedroom onsuites upstairs gave all of the adults plenty of spave and separation when needed. The kids bunkbed room was used for some TV watching since the one other TV in the living room had some weird Samsung TV app without live TV. The few maintenance issues were taken care of same day. Only critique is the fickleness of the keyless entry locks. The front and back door worked differently as to how to initiate locking / unlocking. Only once were we able to get the backdoor to unlock.

Incredible but a few unfortunate oddities

Home had everything that we needed (except coffee?) and the kids loved the bunk room with secret nook. We only had a few issues. The first is that there was a horrible smell in the laundry room. Perhaps the air gap from the utility sink? Either way, it stunk even after we tried to flush it. The other issue was that the bunk room was very warm, and every time we tried to use the AC unit, it blew a fuse and the breaker shut down. This was extremely frustrating as the refrigerator was on the same circuit, so when it happened at night, we woke up to everything melted in the freezer and warm food. The master bed was a little hard for our old bones, so perhaps something additional can be added to the mattress? Overall, we all had a blast and look forward to visiting again.

We loved being so close to the pool, pickle ball court and outdoor fireplace to roast marshmallows. The kids absolutely loved the secret space just for them off their bedroom. They spent many hours in there watching movies and playing video games. We adults loved the porch especially those who were early risers. We all can’t wait to come back again next year!

Wonderful Property!

Spent the weekend with my family, and we absolutely loved the property. The house was fully stocked and was nicely furnished. It’s located right next to all of the neighborhood amenities which was convenient. My family also enjoyed the private hot tub which was a plus. We did have issues with the key code, but the property managers did their best to quickly resolve that. Overall, would highly recommend and would return.

The house was in a prime location across the street from the park and pool. Every bed in the home is King- sized too! (Except the bunk room which is super cool for kids!) House was clean and organized and bathrooms well stocked. Had grill issues. Prop mgmt very responsive. I suggest either replacing burners or get a new grill. I also suggest pots and pans be allowed to be put in dishwasher. I found one in cupboard that had a greasy film. Of course, this just made me want to wash everything before I used it. Cost of rental is expensive (2k). As such, I suggest things like foil, plastic wrap be provided (at least enough to begin stay). Staff should inventory the provided basics cooking spices to ensure the containers aren’t empty. Throw out anything way beyond pull date ( like apple cider vinegar). We just adjusted easy enough. Just wasn’t expecting the minor issues with the cost of the rental.

Great Family Getaway

The area is so well kept and has a nice playground as well as pools, hot tubs, grassy area and nice landscape and sidewalks. Our house, Maison Rouge, was well equipped in the kitchen as well as the closet - games, snow slides, and even a baby gate for the stairs. The "kids space" was very fun, even including a "secret hide-away" attic space. It was very clean. We enjoyed it very much.
