About this property

Summerland Guest Studio just steps to downtown and the beach! Dog Friendly.

Our ocean view studio is located one block to restaurants, the Red Kettle Coffee Shop, shopping and the beach. Our studio is furnished with a queen bed, sofa bed (full), bath w tub, view deck, TV, and off street parking. Dogs are welcome-max 2 dogs. ($75 flat rate/one time pet fee.)

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
If pet fee is not paid at the time of booking, it will be taken out of your deposit. $250 will be taken from deposit if more than 2 dogs are brought.
Total max occupants are 4 people. If more than 4 people stay in the rental, you will be charged the full $250 deposit and will be reported to VRBO .

This is our very first experience with VRBO n also our first visit at Summerland. We really enjoyed our stay and very impressed how clean and comfortable the place. This cozy, cute and comfortable apartment is privately located and very well stocked. I forgot to bring a razor and shave cream but I found a month's supply of both under the bathroom sink! There are blankets and pillows galore, a Keurig coffee machine with plenty of pods and even a doggie bed and dog biscuits. The balcony is lovely with an ocean view. It's near the freeway and railroad tracks, so the traffic and occasional train whistle are slightly annoying, but closing the windows and using earplugs (also provided) helped a lot. This was our first time using Vrbo so we were a little surprised at the 95 cleaning fee for only 2 nights, and we still had to take out the trash and put our used towels and sheets in the tub per the instruction book. All things considered though, it was SO much nicer than paying for an expensive hotel and we enjoyed our short stay at this cozy little dream loft.

Perfect CA beach stay

What’s wonderful place for a couple or a family. We travels with our two adult children for a wedding and this was perfect. If you are traveling with little ones, it will be even better. Why pay for the cost of an overpriced hotel when you can stay here.

Our stay at the Summerland Guest Studio was perfect. We were there to drop off our daughter at UCSB, and used it as a relaxing home base in between moving her in and shopping for supplies. We walked to breakfast and then down to the gorgeous beach one morning. The neighborhood is quiet and the beds are clean and comfortable! All in all, a great stay!

This is a lovely efficiency with a view of the ocean. The porch/deck was great to watch the sunset. It is close to the highway, but the noise from traffic at night, even with the windows open, did not bother us. We slept great, the bed is very comfortable. Great restaurants in walking distance and I absolutely recommend Godmother’s for books! I was very pleased with our stay here and would do it again.

We are Mark and D'Arcy Cornwall. We have one dog, Casper. We both graduated from UCSB and went to law school in Santa Barbara. We are retired now and love to travel in our RV when not in Summerland. We decided to rent out our guest house as a vacation rental so we could share the joy of this special place with special people. We hope you love Summerland as much as we do.

Summerland is a coastal gem! We love the small community. It is a beach town with great restaurants, stores, coffee shops and a bookstore. The beach and park are walking distance from the rental. We hope you enjoy our little pocket of paradise!
