Summit Lake is a beautiful spring-fed lake known for it's quiet morning fishing, afternoon water play and close proximity to Olympia. This lakefront home lets you enjoy it all! Also, a great spot to take a break from your current "work from home" setting! Water views from every room. Fully furnished with all the kitchen essentials, sleeps 8. 3 bathrooms, television/wi-fi and foosball/games should you tire of exploring and all those water activities! Ready for water play? Bring your boat and moor to the floating dock or just enjoy the 4 kayaks provided and maybe drop in a line. Sunny mornings on the decks and dock can't be beat. This is a beautiful spot year-round and a great home-base for exploring the Olympic Peninsula, Ocean Beaches, Olympia, Seattle and our beautiful National Parks.

Beautiful place for family to connect

This place is wonderful for families! We saw eagles and osprey and fish jumping. The house has everything you need and Melissa was wonderful to communicate with. Thanks again!!!

Amazing!!

Wonderful experience. The house is fully equipped and very comfortable. The dock is wonderful to enjoy the lake. My daughters enjoyed kayaking and jumping on the trampoline. Melissa was a great hostess, she helped us with all the details and was available at all times. Totally recommended!

Wonderful Vacation Home

We had a great weekend at the Chase’s home. Communication with the owner, Melissa, was exceptional. There was plenty of room for our group of six (2 adults and 4 teens). The house had every amenity you could need! The owners were very generous in allowing us to use the kayaks and paddle board, which our kids loved. We hope to return next summer!

Amazing lakefront home

The home itself is beautiful and well equipped for everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed the dock, kayaking, fishing, sitting by the fire both inside and outside. Mornings on the deck with coffee were absolute serenity. If we could give more than 5 we would -

Beautiful home with everything you need and then some!!

From beginning to end, top to bottom this beautiful home is more than we expected. From excellent communication from the host, to the home having everything you need and more!! Beautiful views from all 3 balconies to enjoy coffee or just relaxing. When you vacation at this property it will be hard to top it when looking for your next trip. I can't wait until next year!! Perfect lake vacation!

The house is beautiful, the views are gorgeous (there is a balcony on every level, so stepping outside to watch the osprey and bald eagles fish was easy), the lake is clear and excellent for swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking (provided!) and the hosts are some of the best I’ve had over years of using rental vacation homes (excellent communication, impeccably clean, well appointed kitchen, clear instructions and info about the property…there were even S’mores makings set up for us, which everyone loved)! We had some illness in our group during the trip so we didn’t do as much exploring of the peninsula as we’d planned, but it didn’t matter because the house and how it is situated on the lake was so delightful. We hope to stay again!

Thankful at Thanksgiving

We were in Olympia for the long Thanksgiving weekend at my daughter's home and there was enough family in-town we needed accommodations for folks that couldn't fit at her place. We found this lovely, lakefront place that was only 20 mins from my daugher's home so we grabbed it. It was nice enough that I decided to stay here with my wife, sister, and b-i-l so the kids could all stay together at my daughter's home. What a nice place - beautifully appointed, immaculate, quiet, stunning views of Summit Lake, and even some welcome snacks and drinks waiting for us. It was quite cold and rainy for most of the time we were in Olympia so there was no chance to get on the kayaks that come with the house but I did get to do a little fishing with my 4-yr old grandson and it was the highlight of his trip even though we didn't catch anything. Owner Melissa was on top of everything throughout the process so it couldn't be easier. This would be an ideal place for 2 couples with 4-5 kids to come spend a week or two in the summer.

Cozy, beautiful home with thoughtful hosts!

My husband, daughter and I needed a much needed staycation as we haven't been able to fly during the pandemic. We had never taken a proper family vacation, so this was a first for us! Melissa is so thoughtful and checked in with me to see what my daughter would like set up in the home. Melissa seriously went above and beyond - she set up a fort/tent area with toys for my 3 year old and she left us mini pumpkins to decorate together! Melissa also gave me several suggestions for family activities to do in the area. After our trip, my daughter now says "I miss the lake house!". The accommodations for grown-ups were equally wonderful. First off, the home is gorgeous and the lake view is so relaxing. I loved the luxurious master bedroom and bathroom and the comfy family room with a fireplace. The kitchen is also well-stocked and well-appointed - it's easy to find the things you need. Melissa left us cookie dough to bake together as well as other basics which came in handy (spices, cooking oil/spray, oatmeal, S'MORE MAKINGS). This home is perfect for a week-long stay and it's easily my best vrbo experience yet. We definitely want to come back to the lake house! :)

Picture-Perfect!

This was the perfect home for our family from St. Louis, Minneapolis, NYC, and Clayton (CA) to stay during our daughter's wedding week-end. Amazing weekend getaway

The house and lake were simply to die for, but Melissa is the best owner that I have ever worked with. She not only had us prepared well in advance for an amazing time, but made sure we had anything we needed just in case we forgot something. Both kids and adults LOVED the weekend at the Chases.

Beautifully classic summer fun, awesome VRBO!

It is everything it is in the pictures and more. The home is beautiful and the location exactly what we wanted. The ultimate compliment for a VRBO stay is when you as a guest, ask yourself if you would return, and with a RESOUNDING YES! There you go. Every story on the house has a balcony which we found ourselves using and soaking up the sun. The level of comfort in all the bedrooms hit the spot from our youngest, teen and right up to my wife and I. The furniture, the decor the view....Everything was wonderful.....The home is very inviting and warm, it made you feel very comfortable to laze around just enjoy. The kitchen was FULLY equipped and fun to use. We had our Hello Fresh delivered here and had fun cooking it up. The big fridge and extra freezer were very handy. Washer and dryer to keep clothes clean, which is wonderful for not having the need to pack a lot. The lake, right outside the house. A huge dock for nothing but fun....We spent a lot of time on that dock, from early in the morning til stargazing at night....We brought our ski boat and having the dock made that experience amazing. The lake is crystal clear and spectacular. For most of the week, there was just a handful of boats on the lake, some times just us! The owners were super helpful and kind....The care they put in to our VRBO experience shows they have a lot of pride and care in their home. Communications, advice and everything else was amazing. We truly want to say thankyou to them! This home, this lake, this vacation.....gave us a chance to disconnect from all of the craziness 2020 has challenged us all with. To get back to laughter, fun, simplicity....a chance to be care free....

Amazing Lake House

Everyday at the Chase’s house was a relaxing day filled with fun memories that will last us a lifetime. We truly needed that bonding time with our family. Our 2nd visit and definitely not our last!

This was our 2nd visit to the Chase Lake House. There is something for everyone at the lake. Our kids loved to swim, boat, fish, paddle and play in the water and on the dock and we loved taking part as well as relaxing amidst the beauty of the area. The views from every room are incredible. The hosts have thought of everything and the house is well stocked with everything you'd need not to mention is super clean. Melissa is incredibly responsive. Overall our family just loves this place!

Our favorite VRBO property EVER!!!!

Melissa and Rick’s home on Summit Lake is nothing short of magical. After a cancelled European trip, my family began to look for alternatives and found what became a true home away from home. Two adults and two teenagers spent 5 amazing weeks at the lake house. Kayaking, swimming, hiking, ping pong, badminton, and paddle boarding were just a few of the things that kept us busy. Great internet allowed my husband and I to work remotely with confidence, while the beautiful setting gave us a place to enjoy a glass of wine after the work day was done. Melissa and Rick are amazing hosts that saw to our every need, and they became friends along the way. The house is beautiful, stylish, comfortable and extremely well appointed. In fact it became a game to see if there was something we wanted that the house didn’t have....we never found anything. Melissa has thought if everything!!! Every room has spectacular views of the lake, and the gourmet kitchen was a dream, especially when you are cooking every meal. Melissa provided us lots of great recommendations for things to do while social distancing, and has lists ready for when life returns to normal. Truly she was so helpful she was like our own personal Google!! We can’t wait to go back (we are already planning the dates) and we enthusiastically recommend the property for anyone looking for a beautiful place to escape the world. We have travelled with VRBO all over the world and this beautiful house on Summit Lake is by far our favorite property ever. We already miss it!!!!

Beautiful Summit Lake House

Better than expected. Beautiful home with great construction and decor details. Space for everyone. Lovely view of lake from every room. Beds were very comfortable. Melissa was great from the first inquiry since we were staying over the Thanksgiving holiday and would be making the turkey dinner. She checked in with us several times to make sure we were finding everything and to make sure all was okay. Highly recommend! Just wish weather was a little warmer so I could have explored the lake in the kayaks!

Beautiful house, organized host!

This was the best house rental process we've ever been through! Melissa is so organized with communicating all necessary information pre-check in as well as when we arrived at the house, going the extra mile to make the stay comfortable with added touches. The house and view are outstanding, very well cared for and clean. Our family had a blast enjoying all Summit Lake has to offer - swimming, paddling, fishing, picnics, fires, games. Such a memorable stay! We'll be back :)

The best lake in WA!

Our group had such a great time staying at this home on Summit lake! The house was incredibly clean and had everything we could ever need for a long weekend at the lake. Rick and Melissa communicated with us telling us everything we needed to know for our stay and even allowed us to use their lawn games, fishing poles, and kayaks!

First Class Home

Our family celebrated our oldest son's 40th birthday here for the weekend. The home was immaculately clean and is a high-end well-crafted structure with beautiful wood floors, trim, cabinets, etc. It also is one of the few homes on the lake without neighbors right next door. Melissa was so informative with the information packet and her text messages were clear and well laid out! There were more toys, kayaks, games, fire pit, etc. than we had time for. We would highly recommend this home as a wonderful place to stay!

Amazing lake house

Perfect in every way. The owners of this Summit lake house have opened their home for a truly enjoyable experience. From initial communication to checkout, there wasn’t one time when our group was not satisfied. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness allowed us to just relax and enjoy ourselves. I only wish that I had rented the place for longer. We will stay here again if this property is available the next time we vacation in Washington.

We are Olympia locals and live only 20 minutes from our lake home! The lake has been a great spot for our family to enjoy the beautiful area and still be close to town, work and school! Less time these days so hoping to share it with others!

We both attended Washington State University, Go Cougs! (we love our Husky friends!) I am a physical therapist and track coach and Rick works in Finance.

This property is about location! Close to town, morning sun, private and what's not to love about a beautiful lake! We were able to build a comfortable home and feel lucky to have it!

This is a great floor plan for 2 couples/families. Primary King Bedroom top floor. Kitchen/living main floor and second Queen Bedroom in the lower level with bunk room. Bathroom and Views every floor!
