LOCATION : 260 square meter stone house that sleeps eight,situated on a peaceful 22,000 square meter property with a commanding view of the picturesque village of Rognes. The house is surrounded by old stone terrraces, wild oaks, pine trees, and olive groves. The swimming pool is equipped with a jacuzzi ,a waterfall and a natural system of filtration. The swimming pool area offers the same spectacular view and the pool house is ideal for summer barbecues.
3 kms from the property is the village with all the shops , markets and medical centre .
The very beautiful city of AIX EN PROVENCE is 17 kms away , the train station 30mns away and the Aix Marseille airport 45 mns away .
EXTERIOR DESCRIPTION : 4 terraces one of which is 100 square metres on which it is pleasant to eat under its wrought iron veranda and canisses .
Under the arcades a 60 square metre relaxing area with sofa .
The 13 x 8 metre natural swimming pool is totally integrated in its environment and equipped with an alarm and night lighting .
INTERIOR DESCRIPTION : The house combines tradition and modernity . It is decorated with quality materials, wooden beamed ceilings, terracotta tile floors, stone arches and an 18th century open fireplace . It also provides all modern comfort.
The four bedrooms are air conditioned. Three of them open onto outdoor terraces and have their own bathrooms and toilets.
The 28 metre en suite master room has a 1,60 metre bed , a desk and its bathroom is equipped with a jetted tub .
In 15 metre bedroom 2 there is a 1,60 metre bed and a mezzanine .
Bedroom 3 is equipped with a 1,60 metre bed with a possibility to divide it into 2 separate beds (80 +80 ) .
Bedroom 4 : 1,60 m bed and one single bed . This bedroom is on a mezzanine and is partly closed .
The 55 metre double living - room is very spacious and comfortable with three large sofas and a large flat screen TV.
The kitchen also opens onto the 100 meter terrace and is fully equipped with all the modern appliances.
During the warmest hours, It is very pleasant to take a nap under the arcades where the atmosphere is nice and cool or to take a dip in the clear water of the pool ,relax in its jacuzzi or under its waterfall.
La Romane is a wonderful place to enjoy the Provençal way of life and a great starting point to discover our beautiful region .

The Villa was beautiful and very well organized for group stays - Arielle is a fantastic host, walking us through the property and all its features, and welcoming us! The pool is lovely and refreshing, and the kitchen is well stocked with cookware. The views are stunning and the outdoor space is great for enjoying them. It was a convenient base to explore many towns in the area, and good for day trips to the coast - We already want to go back! Thank you Arielle!

Two weeks in paradise!

Our family had the vacation of our lives staying at this wonderful home. It was everything we could have hoped for in a Provencal vacation rental; clean, well-managed, and hosted with an attention to detail. Highlights included a huge amount of common space, multiple decks for lounging at all hours of the day, the quiet countryside, and the incredible pool!

A fantastic house and pool area, all very well equipped. The house is beautifully furnished with some amazing antiques and unique artifacts. A very luxurious and comfortable stay. Great communication with a friendly and informative host. I would definitely recommend this property.

Perfect in every way

We had the most wonderful week - everything was perfect. The house - spacious, clean, comfortable and beautiful; the views of the olive grove, vineyard and Rognes; the location; the charming host, Arielle, who couldn’t have been more helpful and easy to communicate with; the most gorgeous pool and all the amenities you could possibly want. Thank you Arielle for everything. Leaving was hard! I so hope we can return, such happy memories.

Wonderful first stay in Provence

This house and it's surroundings are just gorgeous. As our first trip to Provence we could not have chosen a better place to spend a relaxing week. The children loved the pool and they spent a large part of their time there and we barbecued by the pool almost every evening. The house is a little big for a family of 4, but that was a luxury problem we easily could live with. We managed to eat breakfast and lunch in different corners of the house outside just for the experience. Arielle our host, was also friendly and helpful with local knowledge. We warmly recommend her house to future potential guests!

We truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house in Rognes. It is located on a unique estate with stunning views and offers the complete tranquility you would expect from the Provence. The unique swimming pool is wonderful and really becomes the heart of the holiday, while the many terraces allow you to find a pleasant spot to relax at any time of the day.Everything you need is provided, making the stay very comfortable and carefree. The location is ideal: you can easily drive to Aix-en-Provence for a nice day trip, while in the nearby area there are large supermarkets. In the charming village of Rognes itself, you’ll also find everything you need, including delicious bakeries.

Großzügiges, voll ausgestattetes Landhaus mit perfektem Pool

Geräumiges, liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus in Hanglage, umgeben von zahlreichen luftigen Terrassen, mit voll ausgestatteter Küche. Gepflegter Poolbereich mit Gimmicks wie Wasserfall, Jets und Flachbereichen. Die Kommunikation mit der Eigentümerin ist charmant und hilfreich. Die Zufahrt erfolgt über eine unbefestigte Straße, Rognes ist in 10 min zu erreichen.

Ne cherchez plus vous avez trouvé !!!!

Nous avons passé une super semaine, dans un super gîte où rien ne manquait. La literie est très confortable et nous garderons un excellent souvenir de ce séjour trop court. La maison est dans un site très agréable loin des bruits, avec les odeurs de garrigue. Nous avons profité de la maison, de la piscine avec son bain à remous, des grillades au bord de la piscine. Tout pour passer de très bonnes vacances en famille. Ce séjour avait pour nous une signification particulière. Un grand merci à Arielle pour son accueil. Bernard et Christiane

Zeer aangenaam en comfortabel

We zijn met 2 gezinnen een week te gast geweest. Het ontvangst was ontzettend vriendelijk met uitgebreide tour en uitleg met een drankje, super welkom! Het huis is erg charmant en echt een huis qua inrichting. We voelden ons er direct thuis. De ligging en het zwembad zijn echt zo mooi: meerdere aangename terrassen. Het zwembad is door de aanleg heel fijn om lekker in te relaxen en de kinderen hebben er uren in gespeeld. Echt een super huis op een fijne plek. Genoeg te doen ook in de buurt voor leuke uitstapjes. Aix en Provence en Lourmarin zijn een aanrader.

Séjour de rêve en Provence

Nous avons passé une semaine très relaxante dans cette superbe propriété perdue dans la nature. La maison est grande, avec beaucoup d'espace, et ne nombreuses terrasses pour manger ou prendre l'apéritif en profitant de la vue. La piscine et son bain à remous sont particulièrement appréciables. Et l'accueil d'Arielle, la propriétaire, est très chaleureux. C'est une très bonne base pour explorer le Lubéron (Gordes, Lourmarin, Roussillon, Bonnieux) et le pays d'Aix. Nous avons pu assister à un concert dans le cadre du Festival de piano de la Roque d'Anthéron, qui est à moins de 10 kilomètres. En bref, une destination idéale pour se reposer et profiter des charmes de la région.

Magnifique

La propriété est magnifique, et vaste. La maison est chaleureuse et décorée avec goût. Les extérieurs sont magnifiques, l’espace piscine dotée d’une poolhouse. La maison surplombe une petite vallée et on peut apercevoir le village de Rognes sur les hauteurs. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour avec nos filles et nos amis. Maison superbe mais accueil peu agréable

La maison, qui ne compte que 3 vraies chambres au lieu des 4 annoncées en titre (!) est superbe sous réserve, de la part du propriétaire, d'un accueil moins professoral (on parle pas à des adultes comme à ses élèves (!) et moins suspicieux (état des lieux contradictoire inexistant, nombreux sous entendus sur l'incivilité des locataires, .. ) et donc plus conforme à la charte Abritel, et, au plan pratique, d'une odeur de fuel dans toutes les pièces côté nord (que la propriétaire a jugé "normale" !), et d'équipements de qualité parfois moyenne (parasol cédant au premier usage, 2 toilettes défectueuses sur trois au rez de chaussée, une visite de plombier qui juge l'équipement obsolète, l'absence d'une chaise longue autour de la piscine ... ) qui ne sont pas à la hauteur de la prétention et du coût élevé de la location. A noter que, bien que non prévue au contrat Abritel, il nous a été demandé , 48 h avant notre arrivée, hors procédure Abritel, une caution par chèque ou en liquide ! Au final, un sentiment mitigé pour un séjour au coût bien supérieur à la moyenne.

Très belle propriété dans la campagne provençale

Très belle propriété dans un cadre naturel exceptionnel. Idéal pour celles et ceux qui recherchent le calme allié au confort d'une vaste maison très élégante, aménagée avec goût, dans laquelle on se sent bien. Propriétaire charmante et très disponible.

Excellent séjour

La propriété est superbe avec beaucoup d'espace qui permet de conserver son intimité même à plusieurs. La maison est très bien équipée, avec tout ce dont on peut avoir besoin. L'espace piscine est exceptionnel. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille et nous reviendrons certainement.

Du Bonheur en Provence

Une grande et belle maison chaleureuse pour vivre ensemble et où chacun peut trouver un petit coin à lui... Nous avons vécu une merveilleuse semaine de vacances en famille dans un très bel environnement : paysage provençal et chant des cigales enchanteurs, soleil généreux du midi et sa douce brise, très agréable piscine et sa cascade.... Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de notre séjour en Provence où nos hôtes nous ont accueillis avec beaucoup de gentillesse et ont été très disponibles. Merci à eux, nous reviendrons.

Paradise in Provence

This property was absolutely a dream. The house itself was spacious--ideal for our party of 6 to spread out and everyone to have some personal space. The living room was grand and allowed us to have some fun family gatherings and game nights. There are 4 separate outdoor eating tables that seat 6-8. We could easily have had dinner in a different outdoor space each night. The grounds are incredible with views to amaze. The pool was amazing and where we spent many lazy afternoons and early evenings. This property is in a great location to explore all of the wineries and small village towns north of Aix-en-Provence. And our hosts were responsive, helpful and very kind to us. We were greeted with both ice cold water (as it was 90 when we arrived) and a bottle of rose. You cannot go wrong booking this property. My favorite VRBO rental to date.
