The property was spotless, comfortable ,quiet perfect peaceful place.Location was great only issue was the distance to closest store when we forgot something 1/2hr to get to Baker 1/2 back ..Would definitely return
My husband and I had a peaceful and relaxing weekend getaway here. The house was clean and decorated beautifully. Lots of trails nearby. We loved it and look forward to coming back again next year.
We found the cabin to have all the comforts of home while nestled quietly in the national forest and its snow covered beauty! We enjoyed visits from a screech owl in the evening and watching the deers’ daily foraging through the woods. Grateful.
The cabin was amazing, from the peace to the views, everything was wonderful. It was well equipped with everything you need for a worry free stay. However, it could have been cleaner. There were what it seem to be old blood stains in the master bedroom bed and the floors needed a good sweep, other than that, everything else was excellent. Loved having a washing and drying machine because we left with all our laundry cleaned. We cooked and baked everyday thanks to the kitchen having ever we needed. It was an amazing stay! 100% recommended. Thank you so much for sharing your home away from home with my family!Guzman's & Morales' FamilyTampa FL.
We had a snafu checking in, but the host responded right away and made us whole. This space allows both intimacy and privacy for couples.
I recommend arriving before dark if possible, because the turns are easy to miss.
We picked up some food In Wardensville, but next time we’ll check out Lost City.
From the cool tiles in the bathrooms and kitchens, to the warm lighting in the loft, every square inch of Santi’s Lost Stream is beautiful.
The forest and dry air make this a perfect way to beat the summer heat.
What a nice comfortable cabin with a wonderful view. Accommodations were perfect, very clean. We enjoyed many of the area hikes and a great dinner at the Guest House. You will not be disappointed.
Cabin was amazing. Beautiful. Very clean. Knocked a star off only because the description says there was a queen bed in the loft area when there was not. Other than that, I loved it here and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
We had a great time here, exactly as described. If you are interested in hiking it is only 25 min to Lost River State Park. Would absolutely stay here again!
The chalet had a good impression from the start. It was so quiet and the views were amazing for the winter. We enjoyed our long weekend. Would recommend highly.
We had a wonderful stay at Santis Cabin. Everything was as described and the cabin was even better in person. This trip was a getaway for my husband and I - it did not disappoint! It was close to many hiking trails and the area is beautiful. The cabin provided everything we needed on the day we stayed in and played games all day. The owners have done a FABULOUS job of upgrading and renovating - the inside feels homey and cozy - we didn’t want to leave! The owners were also great with communication - they were only a quick text away if we were to need anything. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to all our friends and family.
This adorable A frame was perfect for what we were looking for. It was clean, well maintained, and secluded. The owners were extremely quick and accommodating the few times we reached out. I could not rate this place higher. Visit if you have an opportunity! You will not regret it!
Buckeye Adventures is made up of JP, Matt, Cynthia, and Lisa -- long-time friends and (mostly) natives of Ohio, the Buckeye state (and inspiration for the name of our little partnership).
We took our friendship to a new level when we decided to purchase and renovate this hidden gem of a cabin in the heart of West Virginia's George Washington National Forest. We've kept its original name -- Santi's Lost Stream -- as a nod to Santi, the man who built this classic little A-frame. While the gentle stream that runs through the foot of the property is "lost" through some of the year, it can be found during rainy season when the natural spring source decides to flow.
JP and Cynthia live just a few hours drive away in Washington, DC, while Matt, Lisa, and their three boys are a bit further afar in Chicago. When we are not enjoying Santi's Lost Stream and all the Lost River area has to offer, we open up our lovely cabin for guests.
We look forward to hosting you at Santi's Lost Stream cabin!
