The personal beach area was great to relax at and perfect for our toddler grandson. It was our second year to stay in the cabin. The only improvement needed was the air conditioning in the downstairs/basement bedroom. The A/C did not cool the room adequately.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented the Matador for four days over the 2024 eclipse. It was clean, cozy, nicely appointed, and a fine place to stay. It's right on the water, pleasant other cabins nearby, and easy to get to. It's a wonderful place for four people. One consideration is that the second bedroom has its bath next to it, not en suite, but it didn't bother us. It was even a fine place to just hang out on a day with thunderstorms.

Cabin was great, had all we needed. Great decks, rocking chairs n swings on porch. We brought wood for firepit but was just too warm to build one. The whole setting if Log Country Cove is beautiful. Enjoyed the trail n coffe on the porch every morning.

The king and queen bed are located in the basement with no air conditioner. It’s not a space that can be use by claustrophobic people. The upper part of the house is cute and the outside of the house is amazing.

Log Country Cove Overall Review

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was nice. It was quiet for the most part. The second night the cabin to the south was loud until late into the night. The hiking trail was not maintained, and you could not make it out clearly. Log Country Cove needs a community pool as well. The priceing to rent boats, jet skis and golf carts is extremely expensive and ridiculous. They should at least include a golf cart in the cabin rental. There is no restaurant on site. Kingsland is 10 minutes if you want to shop, dine or drink. Overall, I would not choose this venue sgain.

Gregg, We are sorry to hear about the issues you had. We understand noise can be an issue which is why we have an on call number to remedy any loud parties. We are a vacation rental community on 170 acres and almost all of the homes have their own private pools, full kitchens, and spaced out on at least an acre of land. Our pricing on rental items is competitive with the others in town as we only offer these items as a convenience for our guest. Kingsland is only 5 min away and 10 min if you go to the outer parts of Kingsland to dine. We do our best to not mis-advertise any of these items you had concerns about so that you are able to enjoy your stay. We are sorry to hear you wont be back but hope if your in the area again, you will choose a home with more privacy and a pool as we have multiple options to choose from. Thanks, LCC

Beware of The Matador!

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the property was nice. However, this cabin is very dangerous. There are very low ceilings, especially is the basement bedroom. This room is not accessible from the main part of the cabin. There is no warnings or markings of the low clearance ceiling or door. My husband hit his head while walking out of the door. He is only 5 ft 10 in tall. He cut his head and sustained a concussion. They need to put up signs or warnings or something to help with this. There were also big bugs inside of the cabin.

Jaime, Thank you for the honest review. We do our very best not to falsely advertise any properties to make sure you know exactly what your getting into. After looking back, the listing doesn't mention the basement and we have since corrected this issue so other guest understand the layout. Safety is a priority to us as we have lots of amenities and homes that people can get injured. We try to prevent them but things do happen. This was a first in 14 years we have been asked for warning signs in the basement. Out at Log Country Cove, we have tried our best not to have warning signs, caution tape, etc posted everywhere to preserve the beauty of the homes and amenities. With todays society, we will have to rethink this. We are at the lake and bugs do sometimes get inside. We are always a phone call away to resolve any issues you have with the home and do our best to provide the best overall guest experience.
