La Fontaine des Valades - gite classified 5 *****, is located 15 km from Bergerac, city in the historic center and 3 km from Issigeac, medieval village with many activities with its famous Sunday market, is a lovely house Perigord in an idyllic setting of 3000 m2 with its panoramic terrace, its private swimming pool, which accomodates 6 people. It comprises the ground floor a large living room / fully equipped kitchen 51m2, on the floor of a room 22. 50m2 (2 beds 0. 90) on the ground floor 2 bedrooms 20m2 and 27m2 20. (bedding 160), two bathrooms toilet 6. 9. 70m2 and 10m2, guest toilet.

Lovely relaxing holiday

Very relaxing holiday, lovely spacious house with great pool which we call enjoyed. local village was close and wonderful to walk around, owners were very friendly and helpful, we highly recommend!!. Hopefully come back again one day.

The property is very well equipped and in a beautiful location, really quiet and peaceful with lots of amazing wildlife to spot.Lovely pool area and gardens, hosts Nadine and Jean Luc were excellent, with great communication and they even presented me with a cake and candle, as we arrived at the property on my birthday!Overall, a fantastic holiday that has created a lifetime of memories, thank you.

We had such a great stay. The Gite is excellent, well equipped and to a high standard with air conditioning which makes a big difference in the summer. The pool was also great and a welcome place to be in the summer. Comms from Nadine and Jean were excellent from the booking right through to the end. Always helpful and great communication.

Wonderful villa

We enjoyed every moment of our stay. Great location to explore the French countryside, and only 1.5 hours from Bordeaux. The property was even better than the photos, with all that you could ask for. Would highly recommend.

Lovely holiday in a beautiful gite near Bergerac

What a fantastic place to stay! The gite was comfortable, spacious and featured a fantastic terrace with beautiful views, an amazing pool and plenty of mod cons inside. The area is tranquil, with easy access to Issigeac and beyond. Nadine and Jean-Luc are wonderful hosts, we cannot recommend them highly enough.

A beautiful house in a fantastic location, the pool is the outstanding feature, private but with lovely views over open countryside and lots of wildlife to seeThe house is spacious with large rooms and Jean Luc and Nadine were friendly and welcoming, Issigeac is a lovely medieval village with regular food markets and events. Fantastic holiday and beautiful house

Les Valades is perfect for a holiday in this beautiful area of France. It is clean, quiet and has everything you need. The owners helped with bike hire before we arrived and easy to contact throughout if we needed them. The house is in a quiet area, overlooking fields where you spot deer, wild boar and birds of prey but is only a short drive to Issigeac (which is just wonderful) or Bergerac. We loved our stay and would highly recommend Les Valades.

Perfect house for a peaceful and luxurious holiday!

We were greeted on arrival by the really friendly hosts, Nadine and Jean Luc, and given a tour of their wonderful property. The house is in a rural and peaceful location, with expansive views of the countryside. We arrived during a heatwave and were so grateful to have air conditioning in each room in the house. The patio area was huge and had an electric awning which provided shade, with steps down to the pool which was a great place for sunbathing and keeping cool. We saw plenty of wildlife while we were there, sometimes seeing deer in the garden and in the fields, and lots of birdlife coming and going. A short drive to Issigeac where we went for our bread and enjoyed the markets. Great hosts, great house, great location. We will be returning next year for sure.

Relaxing week at La Fontaine

La Fontaine des Valades is a lovely property surrounded by beautiful countryside and amazing wildlife. It was incredibly quiet at the property but we had easy access to Issigeac. During out stay we enjoyed watching the field of sunflowers come into full bloom and seeing the daily lives of a pair of nesting kestrels (plus chicks) in the tree beside the terrace. We also saw a hoopoe. The pool was clean and a lovely temperature. Nadine and Jean-Luc were helpful hosts and provided lots of useful information about the area

Splendid location; Great house!

Although the weather did not cooperate in its fullest, this house had everything we needed to relax The refit has been done with good taste. Perfect amenities, good kitchen, multiple ( 2 large ) bathrooms and even more toilets ( 3 ) We absolutely enjoyed the house and its lovely owners. The pool is what did it. Perfectly located with a stunning view over the fields filled with Tournesols... With the village of Issigeac located at a max of 3 minutes drive all you need is closeby including some very nice restaurants We will be back....

Peacefull and tranquil location

We had a lovely stay at Les Valades. We had a very long and hot journey there and Nadine and Jean Luc were very flexible and accommodating given we arrived at 7:30 pm!! They provided a very warm welcome and were on hand throughout the holiday for any queries. They also dropped off clean linen half way through the stay which we don't always get on a 2 week holiday. Extremely well equipped house... we did not want for anything. Beautiful characterful house, plenty of storage, air conditioning and fully equipped utility room. Very peaceful and quiet rural location yet close enough to neighbouring towns and attractions. Very quiet and not overlooked by a soul. The pool was lovely, nice comfy sun loungers and great aspect so that you pretty much had sunshine all day. Highly recommend!

Peaceful, Private & Spacious House. Just as lovely as the photos.

This beautiful house is just as lovely as the photos. The accommodation is superb and we especially enjoyed the pool and relaxing on the terrace, which has a wonderful awning that helps shade the area from the sun. The kitchen has every utensil you could ever wish for if you decide to cook, along with a proper oven, hob, microwave and BBQ. There are a range of restaurants in Issigeac, and many more in Bergerac and Sarlat. Not too far are many chateaux (Monbazillac, Bridoire, Biron, Lanquais), pretty towns (Issigeac, Monpazier, Villereal, Bergerac, La Roque-Gageac, Sarlat), amazing gardens at Chateau Marqueyssac and don't forget to canoe down the Dordogne river, a great day out - (Noted are the places we went to and there are many more that we didn't get chance to go to that look wonderful). Nadine and Jean-Luc are absolutely lovely and it was a pleasure to meet and deal with them. Thank you, we had an amazing two weeks in your wonderful house and the Dordogne! Sarah & Rob and family.

In diesem komfortablen Ferienhaus mit warmer Atmossphäre haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Es ist bestens ausgestattet und hat viel Charme. Nadine und Jean-Luc sind sehr herzliche und aufmerksame Gastgeber. Man wohnt in ländlicher Stille und erreicht mit dem Auto doch schnell malerische Orte im Perigord. Auf der großen Terrasse und am gepflegtem Pool läßt es sich wunderbar entspannen.

Fabuleux séjour !

Nous sommes partis avec un groupe d'amis dans un magnifique coin de Dordogne, chez Nadine et Jean-Luc. La propriété, isolée des voisins, est superbe, les extérieurs (notamment la terrasse et l'espace piscine) sont vastes et la maison est à la fois grande, bien pensée et "cosie". Nadine et Jean-Luc sont adorables, très accueillants, et d'excellents conseils s'agissant des "spots" à voir dans la région. Une très belle rencontre, que je conseille à tous...famille ou groupes de copains friands de moments authentiques...

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt

Das Haus ist noch schöner und komfortabler, als es die Bilder ausdrücken. Ein wunderschöner, ruhiger Ort, perfekt zum Entspannen und für Ausflüge in die nähere und weitere, schöne Umgebung hervorragend geeignet. Nadine und Jean-Luc haben uns mit zahlreichen wertvollen (Ausflugs-)Tipps versorgt. Bei Rückfragen standen uns die beiden immer zur Verfügung, und bei einem Krankheitsfall hat uns Jean-Luc sehr fürsorglich durch das französische Gesundheitswesen navigiert und uns sogar zum Arzt begleitet. Merci, Nadine et Jean- Luc, pour votre hospitalité, nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour chez vous et nous pouvons recommander absolument votre belle maison de vacances.

Notre séjour à la Fontaine des Valades

2ème séjour dans ce superbe gîte. Tout correspondait bien à nos souvenirs et nos attentes. Merci à Nadine et Jean Luc pour la qualité de leur accueil. Nous avons particulièrement bien apprécié la piscine avec les grandes chaleurs de notre semaine de location .jamais 2 sans 3 alors à bientôt sûrement et encore merci.

Peace and quiet in a country Gite

Just a couple of kilometres from the Medieval town of Issigeac is this beautiful Gite with private pool and views of the countryside. Enjoyed our stay and dark skies for perfect views of the Milky Way.

Très chouette séjour à la fontaine des Valades

Séjour très plaisant. La maison a un cachet incroyable, particulièrement le grand séjour. Les extérieurs sont extrêmement sympas : belle pelouse, immense terrasse, piscine. La vue depuis la terrasse et la piscine est complètement dégagée. Et puis quel calme ! Bref on a adoré. Un clin d’œil tout particulier aux propriétaires dont la gentillesse et la présence discrète sont remarquables.

Très belle et agréable maison

Très belle maison bien situé prêt d‘Issigeac. Environnement super calme, vue dégagée, piscine propre (pas si courant…), et hôtes super sympathiques. Deuxième séjour pour nous, idéal famille avec enfants.

Magnifique maison avec piscine dans un endroit calme et charmant

Nous avons passez un agréable séjour, Nadine et Jean-Luc (les propriétaires) sont adorables et donnent de bons conseils pour faire des visites de la région en famille. La maison est magnifique avec sa piscine. Il y a tout ce qu’il faut pour se sentir comme à la maison
