When you enter this Palmetto Dunes escape, you will be mesmerized by the outdoor living space and private pool ahead of you! Thanks to its wide-open living space, you are drawn to the lush private yard with palm trees. A slightly elevated deck that runs the entire back of the home leads down to a stone-paver patio and *a heated pool. When you’re not lounging by the pool, the beach is just a short sandy stroll down a beautiful, quiet walkway.

HH Home

The property was amazing. Close to the beach, with its own pool, nature's backyard. With room for everyone inside, well stocked. We had everything what we need to enjoy this beautiful place.

Wonderful vacation

We greatly enjoyed our vacation. The property was just as described in a fantastic location. The beach was an easy 5 minute walk. The house was comfortable with everything we needed. All amenities were close by. All and all a wonderful experience. We would definitely recommend this property and rent it again in the future.

We came to get our marine!

The house was exactly has they had said. Plenty of room and lots of towels which is important when u have 5 kids. The pool was amazing and being able to relax down by the water front was nice.

Good family vacation rental

Great location near a beach access. Comfortable home and pool, just right for our family vacation. The adults and children enjoyed the jigsaw puzzles and the big assortment of games.

Amazing property, great location!

The property was fantastic - exactly as shown in the photographs, very well maintained, with lovely furnishings and decorations. The property has a very nice pool that can be heated in cooler weather (hugely appreciated by the kids). It has all the amenities one would expect (and need) from a home away from home, including a washer and dryer, dishwasher, fast internet, several TVs, fridge/freezer, etc. There is a vast garage, containing more useful things, including beach chairs, pool and beach toys and pool chair/lounger covers. The property even came with 4 (adult-sized) bikes. The neighborhood is leafy and very quiet. A small path leads from the back of the property to a small creek. In the mornings, a herd of deer visit the property (at around 7AM). The beach is less than 5 minutes away on foot. It is very wide and great for cycling, walking and running (we also saw dolphins swim by one morning). The gated community to which the property belongs feels extremely safe. A bike and kayak rental place, a small convenience store (with a very good selection of necessities), a tennis club and golf courses are within walking or biking distance. The rental company was very responsive to questions and requests and everything worked out perfectly and mostly remotely by email and/or text messages. Would highly recommend this place - we’ll rent it again in the future!

McCravy’s Beach Trip

We were very pleased with the property. It suited our needs very well as far as the layout of the rooms. The close beach access was great, and the kids enjoyed the pool! There are only 2 minor things that need attention - the fan chain pull in the master bedroom behind the garage is broken off and the towel rack on the wall just as you exit the shower (in same bedroom) is loose.

Great family beach house

We enjoyed our family Hilton Head vacation. For an off beach property this was a great place to stay! Super easy access to the beach and we loved having our own little piece of lagoon to sit and enjoy watching the birds, fish, deer, and even a gator. We were a little concerned by the earlier review noting mildew in the master bath but all our bathrooms were clean and we had no complaints. This is a great place for families with a large gathering room but still room to spread out and find your own space.

Great location, but…….

The location is the best part of this property for sure. That being said- it needs a little love. Master bath has mold ok the air vent, there has clearly been a water leak near the shower and there is mold on the walls. Patio furniture by pool is ok but the seat cushions were kind of gross. This is our 4th trip to HHI- every time staying at Palmetto Dunes, and despite the fact that this was the most we’ve ever paid for a rental house it was in the worst condition of them all. Served it’s purpose for the week, just expected better for the cost of the property.

Family beach week

We wanted to rent a home in Palmetto Dunes with a private pool that was very close to the beach. This house was perfect for our family of 4 adults, but also could have easily been enough room for 8 people. Our adult children were doing online college and online work and had plenty of quiet space to do so. The beach access was beside our driveway so maybe a 2 minute walk to beach, which was great. We enjoyed riding the bikes that came with the property, the pool, playing tennis, watching deer in back yard, and being on the beach every day. We rented chairs, umbrella, etc., but also noticed there are already chairs, umbrella, floats, coolers, etc available in garage. The Dunes House is a short bike ride or walk down the beach and is fun. The house was equipped with everything we needed. We had a couple of maintenance issues, but The Vacation Company was quick to respond. We hope to rent this house again!

Peaceful and private

This was our first visit to Hilton Head and we lucked out with this house and location. The backyard was private as it was surrounded by enough trees and shrubs to block the view of any neighboring house. The pool was a refreshing relief from the heat. The backyard borders a waterway which offered a beautiful spot to sit and relax. The house was well maintained and was spacious for my family of 7. The walk to the beach was short and shaded. And the beach was not crowded at all in our neighborhood . It was a wonderful house and location. We would come back again!

Great location With backyard privacy

The house is well stocked with kitchen essentials and beach gear. The cleaning company missed a few things, but since we were planning to do some initial cleaning anyway due to COVID-19, I didn’t call to notify anyone. They also need to replace a couple of the chairs by the pool which were broken. Otherwise, everything was in working order.
