The living area smaller than appeared in pictures. The underground parking was under construction but was able to find stall every time. The room, bathroom and kitchen all fine. I enjoyed having all the kitchen cookware available for use. The living room furniture needs updating so more comfortable to sit and relax. Very quiet and we had a nice long weekend. I would stay again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the quiet setting, well-equipped kitchen, and your long weekend at Kona Plaza #217. We appreciate your comments regarding the size of the living area and the comfort of the living room furniture, and we’ll certainly share those with the owner as we continue looking for ways to improve the unit. We’re also glad that, despite the temporary construction in the underground parking area, you were able to find parking without issue. Most importantly, we’re happy to hear you would stay with us again, and we’d love to welcome you back to Kona!

Aloha, Mahalo for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re so glad to hear you enjoyed the awesome location, walkability to Aliʻi Drive, the nearby shops, restaurants, and beach, as well as the cleanliness, air conditioning, furnishings, and lanai. We appreciate your understanding regarding the temporary pool closure, which was due to association-scheduled construction beyond our control, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused during your stay. Thank you as well for noting the towels—your feedback has been shared with our team so we can address replacements as needed. We truly appreciate you choosing to stay with us and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Kona in the future. 🌺

Great location, great accommodation.

The location in Kailua-Kona couldn’t be any more central, it was great! The accommodation itself was incredibly reasonable priced, clean, comfortable, spacious, quiet, included parking, and included bonuses such as beach chairs and boogie boards.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, great terrace, only the noise of the fridge and above the washing machine is annoying ( at night)

2/10 Terrible

Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Check-in
For 2,000, this property was an absolute disaster and a safety hazard. The building is structurally compromised, supported by hydraulic jacks blocking half the parking garage, and one elevator was broken. Check-in was ridiculous, featuring two keypads with zero instructions on which four-digit code went where.Entering after 4 p.m., the unit was over 85F and stiflingly humid with no AC running, forcing me to suffer through a miserable night. The apartment is a cheap "landlord special" with paint slapped over decaying fixtures. The front door lock fails 90% of the time, the outer gate is misaligned, the bed is ancient with a broken, squeaking frame, and a wall picture frame literally fell onto my head.Conditions were deeply unhygienic. Black mold is visible inside and out, the washer/dryer are covered in rust, and sheer curtains offer zero privacy in shared spaces. The shower was unusable on arrival--providing under 60 seconds of warm water alongside a broken head that floods the floor, requiring maintenance during my stay.Additionally, there is no dishwasher or disposal, yet guests are required to hand-wash all dishes. The bedroom light switch cuts power to every wall outlet, dogs barked throughout the stay, and ridiculous fees are enforced (100 for a lost elevator key). Do not waste your money here.

Aloha, We are genuinely surprised and disappointed to read this review, as our understanding during your stay was that you were satisfied with how your concerns were being addressed. When issues were brought to our attention, we promptly coordinated and sent vendors to the property to assist, including addressing the maintenance concerns you reported. Our team made every effort to be responsive and accommodating throughout your visit, and we were under the impression that the matters raised had been resolved to your satisfaction. We certainly did not receive the impression that your overall experience was anywhere near what is now being described in this review. We recognize that the property may not have met all of your expectations, and we respect your right to share your experience. However, we do feel this review presents a very one-sided picture and does not acknowledge the efforts made by our team and vendors to assist you during your stay. We take guest concerns seriously and always appreciate the opportunity to make things right. We only wish we had known you remained this dissatisfied while you were still with us, particularly given our understanding that you were happy with the assistance provided. Mahalo for your feedback.

Best Experience

Great location. We stayed here and didn’t use a car for the first few days of our trip - right in the heart of Kailua and across the street from the trolly stop. The space was clean and had everything we needed including beach chairs and umbrella. We loved spending nights out on the lanai.

Nice quick trip to Kona!

We had a great time in Kona. It was just a short trip over from Maui for us to do some diving. We enjoyed the location of the condo, perfect walking distance to a lot of amenities, which was great as we did not have a car. The condo was clean and cold! It was great to come back to after a long day of exploring.

Beautiful place in paradise

Our VRBO was a beautiful place to stay, the bed was comfy, great kitchen, bath and beautiful lanai. The air conditioning in each room was great too. Chairs, towels and snorkeling equipment was provided for guest, and you could walk 5 minutes to town or the beach. The parking in the garage was safe and secure with a special key provided. We had a marvelous time and will return soon! Thank you!

Well located

Property is well located. Offering all amenities including snorkeling equipment. The appartment has been renovated and is very pleasant. My only recommendation would be to check the condo AC compressor which makes a lot of noice. The condo management team is very reactive and professionnal. Everything put together, it was a very nice 5 nights stay.

Condo was in a perfect loacation. One block from oceanside shops, food and beautiful ocean views. Bed was confortable, air conditioners worked great. Closet was stocked with linens, sunscreen, beach chairs/blanket/snorkeling/water shoes. All came into great use! Easy entry, parking pass is in tbe condo, that was a challenge at first but propert manager was quick to respond. I read reviews about the ant like bugs. Yes, tvey are there but we didn't cook or prepare food, we kept items in fridge, table and top of fridge, so they didnt bother us. Great place for 2 people and would definitely rent again. Thank you!

Nice time!

It was as described in listing. Once you figure out the back staircase to the complex getting onto the main road (Alii) was very easy. They had a new air mattress and towels, thank you. If you want actual beachtowels, bring your own. They had bath towels for the beach. Great selection of beach items! We enjoyed our time there!

Great place!

This place is great! Great location. Walking distance to Alii which is the place to be! Lots of extra towels, bed linens & everything you need to make meals at home. Beach towels, umbrella & three beach chairs with three or four biggie boards. No cooler or children’s beach toys, though. We will definitely be seeing if this place is available next time we come. I LOVED the blackout curtains in the bedroom. Perfect place for our family! Enjoy!! Mahalo!!!
