Within a five minute drive you can be in downtown San Diego, the airport, Seaport Village, Petco Park (home of Padres baseball team), the Convention Center, Little Italy, Embarcadero, Fashion Valley mall, North Park, the Chargers' Qualcomm Stadium, historic Old Town, the Marina, many of the best restaurants, nightclubs, bars and much more. You can also enjoy Ocean beach, Liberty Station, San Diego's best breweries, Point Loma, Pacific Beach and Sea World, which are only ten minutes away.

An amazing diversity of restaurants and cuisines are available within walking distance of the area. This is a perfect location for experiencing everything San Diego has to offer. Walkable to a bunch of great neighborhoods, and in my opinion, located in one of the best places to come home to. The room itself is really nice, with an amazing view of planes coming in to land.

Wonderful property smack in the middle of San Diego

Zen Penthouse

Stayed over 4th of the July long weekend (4) nights. Absolutely one of the best VRBO’s we’ve ever stayed in. The Penthouse was amazing, clean, and easy to get to. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in this area of San Diego. We’ll definitely return!

Rick's place was great for our little family. It's not baby proofed, but we kept a close eye on the kids, and they had fun. We especially enjoyed the view from the living room and watching the planes land/take off. The place is clean, well equipped, and with comfortable beds. We didn't have an issue finding parking. Would recommend!

San Diego weekend adventure

This property was beyond adorable. Perfect and quaint. Very clean, comfy bed, pillows and sheets. Good location, minutes from downtown and the zoo. Great recommendations provided by owner for restaurants. We loved the view of bay and airport. Planes flying over all day but the insulation and penthouse construction blocked 90% of the sound. So all you get is cool views of planes landing and taking off, without noise disturbance. Gave the location additional character.

The Zen Penthouse is truly is a fabulous little "Gem." During my seven-night stay, I found everything I needed for a delightful experience. The well-appointed kitchen allowed me to cook many of my own meals, and the spa-like bathroom was truly wonderful - I particularly loved the large rainforest shower, complete with high-quality towels and robe. The king bed was incredibly comfortable, earning a perfect 10 out of 10 for comfort and bedding. Ricardo and his team ensured that everything was in perfect order. Looking forward to my next visit! Historic place in a great location

My wife, son and I stayed there for a week for a wedding and to do a little golfing around the area. Our other place we had lined up for the week canceled on us 5 days prior, so we search the site and found this little gem. Honestly I think it was a better place than our first selection. The penthouse floor is a little quirky with the angled ceilings but the couch was super comfy and plenty of room in both bedrooms. Kitchen and dining areas were modern and great. Loved having the washer and dryer. I could have brought fewer clothes and just washed and reused. We brought our own washing/drying supplies but the place already had that to use. You can hear and see planes land at the airport nearby, but that was part of the charm. If the tv was on in the main room or we had the supplied fan on in the bedroom for white noise you can’t hear the airplanes. Maybe the only knock I might have on the place was the dim lighting in the bathroom. It affected my wife more than me. The location is close to a lot of attractions around the San Diego area. Overall a very pleasing place to stay!

This property was lovely and also well equipped with everything we needed. The main room is more spacious than it appears in the pictures, but otherwise the pictures are accurate. It’s in a quiet residential neighborhood within easy walking distance of Balboa Park and Little Italy, and while there is some noise from the airplanes, we didn’t find it bothersome.

The home is clean and well stocked. Close to downtown, Balboa Park, Old Town, Mission Bay, Sea World… Great views of the harbor. Bankers Hill is one of the great San Diego neighborhoods. Highly recommend.

Great stay in Little Italy!

Great unit in Little Italy. Our place was immaculately clean with high end kitchen appliances, decor, clean linens, comforter, well furnished with an amazing view from living room. Also a nice patio to hang out with a warm jacuzzi. We came for the 4th of July weekend and couldnt have had a better time. Easy walks for us and our dog to Little Italy and just a short 5 minute drive to dog beaches and 10 minute walk to Balboa Park. Rick was absolutley an amazing host and always replied quickly to any questions we had. We definitely recommend and would be back for future SD stay.
