We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Communication was especially good and check in was quite easy. The location was perfect for us since we wanted to bike the Erie Canalway Trail. Everything in our estimation was perfect. We will definitely recommend this place to friends.
The little moose lodge was very close to the bike trail, very clean, and had everything we needed. The watering can shower was cool, but didn’t allow for adjusting the direction of the stream.
The renter was extremely responsive and provided detailed information to make the whole process easy and stress-free. The kitchen, though small, had most of the amenities required to prepare meals readily available. For our purposes, the location was ideal to navigate to multiple places of interest.
Our family of 4 stayed at Little Moose Lodge for one night and wished we had more time to explore! The bike trail, river access, historic sites and the charming town of St. Johnsonville were all very appealing. We enjoyed walking to a delicious breakfast at the Bridge Street Diner. And the tiny house itself was perfect for us. The loft steps are very steep, as mentioned, but the kids thought that just added to the adventure! They also loved seeing the cabooses on the property and hearing the trains go by. We would definitely stay here again.
Clean, comfortable, peaceful place to step away and unwind. Chris is the best kind of host; all needs are addressed promptly and efficiently, he is not intrusive in the least but always available, and has thought of everything at the cabin to make it an easy, effortless stay. The surroundings are peaceful: river, woodchucks, birds, and foxes lend themselves to an enchanting atmosphere but never come too close to bother. Passing trains and churchbells are a thing, but again, add to the unique charm of the place. Looking forward to next time. Oh, and the plane on the roof of the building is icing on the cake!
We’ve been stopping here each year on our way to an Adirondack hiking trip. This place has everything we need and we always enjoy our stay. Highly recommended.

The cabin is adorable and clean! Quiet, well kept area. The owner was friendly and reached out to us prior to our stay. We are going to come back again and have recommended Little Moose to our friends and family. Wonderful experience!
Every provision you could think of is provided. The owner is very responsive to whatever you need. This is our third time staying in the different lodging available and is now our go to place when up that way. It’s quiet and peaceful even with the lull of the occasional train in the background passing.
Just a nice relaxing place to just “be”.
Love coming here!

Comfortable little house. Much nicer very than a motel room!
I stayed here for a one night and it was absolutely perfect. We woke up early and read books on the small front porch while watching a chicken run around the lawn. A lovely spot to stay!
