About this property

Sitting on the dock of the bay!

Sleepy Bay has almost 4 acres of property which has a variety of birds and squirrels, including white squirrels, that thrive in abundance within the beautiful Magnolias, and Live Oak trees with draping Spanish Moss. This property is on East Bay at the mouth of East River. Looking out over the bay from the private deck, or canoeing/kayaking, fishing, or just swinging on one of the two wooden bench swings, are activities ready for your enjoyment. Whether you choose to encounter these activities or just cruise over to Navarre Beach, which is only four red-lights (4.7 miles) away and approximately a 10-minute drive, depending on the time of day. You will have the opportunity to experience another piece of paradise on Navarre Beach. Navarre Beach also boasts the longest pier into the Gulf of Mexico that you can enjoy by fishing or just walking on the pier. Don't forget to slow down and watch the sunset in the backyard!

This 1100 square feet "mother-in-law attached apartment" with 10-foot ceilings and two private entrances is attached like a duplex, both houses are private with separate entrances and decks. Sleepy Bay offers a comfortable open floor plan (no stairs). It is a very large one bedroom with king bed and two closets, one large 4-piece bath with jetted tub and a spa like shower, a fully equipped kitchen with stainless appliances, eat in dining area, pull out sleeper sofa in the living area, and full-size washer/dryer.

The oversized main bedroom has a king-sized bed with a separate entrance (2 private entrances) from a PRIVATE, LARGE, WRAP AROUND DECK, that overlooks the bay. A gas grill is located beside the over 100-year-old Magnolia tree which the deck surrounds. The oversized bathroom features a spa like shower and oversized jetted tub. The property has a private electric gate (a remote for gate is provided for your stay) and yard is fenced except for the 300 feet of bay front, so it is perfect for your fur babies. The views are amazing and walking to the dock is encouraged.

We want you to enjoy your vacation in Navarre, and to share our little piece of Navarre's "Best Kept Secret" on East Bay.

We take pride in offering a very clean, smoke/vape free rental, for you to enjoy your vacation.

Note: We are pet friendly and want you to bring your fur babies. We charge $25 per day for pet fee. PLEASE click on Traveler's Box and click with pets if bringing your fur baby. Extended stays can inquire about reduced pet fees.

Everything about it felt like your home. Comfortable furniture. Every appliance I could think of. Nice open floor plan. Beautiful old wood cabinets,dressers, bureau's and interesting antique novelty items. Great porch and yard. Dock with a nice swing and almost completely quiet. Met owners by accident and they couldn't have been nicer.

Wonderful Vacation/Anniversary

This was our 2nd stay here and we love it. It has a fence around the property with a coded gate so we feel conformable leaving our jet skis parked in the yard while we explore the area. The boat ramp is only a short drive away to put in the jet skis and ride in the bay. The host think of everything as the house is very well stocked with just about anything you may need. We will be back for a 3rd time!

Frank and Stacy went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. It was a very clean comfortable home. There was a lovely view of the water as well. Serenity on the Dock of the BAY!!!!

Can’t say enough positive things about this property. The house is super cute and comfortable. Host really goes above and beyond with all the little things. The bed was very comfortable. And the view is amazing. Not too far from the beach but out of the hustle and bustle. We would stay here again!!!!

Fabulous stay

My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Sleepy Bay rental, and we can’t say enough good things about it. The unit was very comfortable and spacious, and the property was incredible. We enjoyed the sunsets from the dock and although we didn’t get to use the kayaks, there were two available for use as well as a canoe. The following are some of the things that we appreciated: fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, games and puzzles, cooler, beach chairs, beach towels, shampoo and toiletry items, laundry soap, etc. We felt very safe during this stay since the property is fully fenced and gated. We can highly recommend this rental and hope to return again.

Nice get away on a nice piece of land.

Love the deck with an excellent view of the river. The rental was very well supplied with things like paper towels, laundry pods, dishwasher pods, soap, etc. The owners were very accommodating when we had to change our reservation to a later date which we greatly appreciated.

Beautiful and comfortable

Gorgeous property and a very cozy home. Beautifully decorated and very clean. Thoughtfully furnished with appliances in the kitchen. It was so nice that they let us bring our dog. She enjoyed having a rug to sleep on. We went fishing off the dock and watched the fish jump. Very recommended and we will return if we are in the area.

Beautiful property!

Very nice home and beautiful property minutes from Navarre Beach and many restaurants. We loved the water view and the dock and that we were able to bring our kayak trailer. They provided so many amenities, so you don't have to pack so much! It was very peaceful and quiet, and the overall comfort level was wonderful. We slept well and they had comfortable furniture throughout. Communication was great. We hope we can visit again.

Peaceful relaxing place to getaway from everyday hubbub

A wonderful place! Very clean and modern in design. Very spacious inside and with the property fenced, plenty of room to enjoy the yard and our puppy enjoyed running of the leash. Just What I Needed

Relaxing and beautiful! Home is clean, well stocked with many extras that are above and beyond…Cooler, beach chairs, inflatables, kayaks etc! Outdoors area is peaceful and well cared for. My dog loved the freedom to roam. Coffee in the swing on the bay dock every morning was a perfect start to the day. Frank answers any questions in a timely manner and his wife as well. Beautiful property on the sound! We loved sitting on the deck watching the birds and squirrels and enjoyed the swing on the dock. The property is exceptionally clean and well stocked. Sleepy bay is a wonderful choice for a vacation. It was clean, quiet, had anything you might need, and amazing atmosphere! It is not right in the middle of all the beach chaos but maybe 10min away. We hope to stay with our fantastic hosts, Frank and Stacy again. Such kind and sweet people who would do just about anything to make your stay even more enjoyable!. Great place

The house is very large for a 1 bdrm/1bath. Very comfortable bed with nice linens. Well stocked kitchen amd bathroom with lots of extras like toiletries, sunscreen, spices etc. Nice yard, dock with a swing. You must eat at TCs front porch.

Frank and I, Stacey, are both special education teachers who have been teaching for thirty years. Both of us love people, so teaching has been the perfect career choice. As we near retirement we are looking towards the next chapter in our life. Eventually, we would love to retire and build a few cottages for guests. We truly appreciate our peaceful life on the mouth of the East River as it opens up to East Bay and we want to share with others. We hope that everyone who stays with us enjoys this property as much as we do on an everyday basis.

Why they chose this property

Beautiful view and serenity! If that is what you are looking for, this is the place for you. Watching the sunset from the private wrap around porch is never the same and never gets old. Bird watching is also great. Keep an eye out for Eagles, Ospreys, Hawks, and a multitude of other birds, that can be seen from the deck. You may also see not only grey squirrels, but hopefully also the white squirrels, playing by the Live Oaks.

What makes this property unique

Take out our one-person canoe, or two Kayaks, or bring your own, and launch from the backyard! If you have a small boat, 21 foot or smaller, bring it and launch from the East River Boat Ramp (about 1/2 mile) and tie up to our dock. You can leave your boat tied up during your stay. Life jackets are required for all watercrafts and are provided. Please let us know if you want to take out the canoe/kayaks and we will provide a watercraft waiver to sign.
Even though Navarre has a low crime rate, for extra security, we have exterior security cameras at the gate entrance of property, and exterior of our part of home and parking area. There are not any cameras on your vacation rental side of the residence or your private deck area.
