The property is absolutely stunning. The house is spotless, the grounds are well kept and the hosts are A+++.
It was the perfect balance of relaxation and tranquility, with plenty of places to visit (Montauk, Sag Harbor, Riverhead) not too far away. We were fortunate to find this beautiful home for a much needed getaway. Highly recommended.

Ravi and his family were dream guests.
There was good communication and receptiveness. The house has never been left in a kinder, cleaner state. It was a joy to host this family.
I'd be hard pressed to come up with anything negative about this property. The views are incredible from every room in the house. The house was spotless, with fresh flowers left for us by the host. There is none of the normal stress of going into a new place and trying to get acclimated, everything is labeled and we settled in immediately. The hot tub was amazing, clean and fresh and simple to operate. We went in the dead of winter and it was one of the best trips we have had out east. Ultimate beauty and relaxation!

Matt and his family were sterling guests.
They left the house in impeccable condition, were considerate, communicative and seemed to have truly enjoyed themselves.
Another host would be fortunate to have them as guests. I highly recommend Matt and his family.
I so enjoyed my stay at this peaceful and beautiful property. The owner, Aimée is a thoughtful and attentive host who did a terrific job in remodeling and furnishing her home. I highly recommend it as a fun and relaxing getaway!
Aimee is a great host and this is a wonderful, wonderful, beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable house. The views are gorgeous. We couldn’t figure how to access local TV and Aimee and her son I’m law spent a long time fixing the problem. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

The house was left in perfect condition.

We just got home from our vacation at this amazing property with A+ hosting and really didn't want to leave. The pictures and description of the property in the listing are great and the reality is even better. We have stayed at vacation rentals all over the US (New York, Southern California, Delaware beaches, etc) and Europe and this has got to be one of the nicest, most comfortable homes where we have ever stayed. The layout of the house is fantastic, with living and sleeping spaces both downstairs and upstairs. The water views are gorgeous. The location is great; in one 5 day/4 night vacation we were able to spend plenty of time in the house on the property as well as visit Riverhead (outlet shopping), Montauk, the North Fork, and Southampton/Sag Harbor. The ferry is a breeze. The bed was comfortable, the hot tub was luxurious, and the house was prepared for our arrival with candles and the fireplace blazing. The host was also incredibly accommodating and kind and kept us informed on all house instructions and everything we needed to know. Would love to stay here again and would recommend to anyone!

These sterling guests were an absolute pleasure to host. The house was left in excellent condition and every house instruction was respected.
Any host would be fortunate to welcome them.
I highly recommend this house. It is expansive and beautiful but still manages to have a unique charm and you can't beat the views. Be prepared to relax and soak in the peace and quiet surrounding the property. Can't wait to return!
From the onset and throughout our stay, the hosts made us feel welcome and addressed any questions we had. They even went out and rented bikes on our behalf. The property is advertised, clean, spacious for a family with several children and offers an ideal quiet location, with serene views of the bay and plenty of ground space for children to run around. We were able to kayak and swim directly from the grounds. An ideal and perfect gateway and we would certainly come back.

About the host
Hosted by Aimée Mareneck
Hi! I'm Maghnus, and I manage the Lord Ship Yard Estate with my mother, Aimée. I was lucky enough to grow up in this historic building (ask me about its secrets!), and witness the outstanding renovation it has been through over the past 3 years.
I have two degrees from the Wharton School of Business. I am dedicated to making sure you have the most outstanding experience in our home on this magical island, and am always available to chat.
Why they chose this property
The Lord Ship Yard Estate is like no other property I know or have managed. Originally created to construct massive Schooners during the Napoleonic Wars, the most famous of which (The Paragon) successfully ran a British blockade single-handed (read the wikipedia article ).
Needless to say, this is a historic building built on 7 acres of pristine fields, surrounded on three sides by stunning waterfront. Having undergone a new renovation (completed in Spring 2020), there has never been a better time to live in the fine luxury of this historic mansion, and appreciate all that the island has to offer.
