Absolutely incredible view from the master bedroom balcony: simply idyllic! The whole house is very spacious, with plenty of room for guests to spread out. Kitchen is well equipped. Lovely decor. Very clean. Air conditioning in the bedrooms worked very well. Fans available in the other areas of the house. Location is just under the main church plaza, with easy access to the beach and the waterfront promenade. A small supermarket is within walking distance if you want to pick up basic groceries without needing a car. Expect steep stairs up and down from the old town to the waterfront: it gets easier each day! Taxis can also drop off nearby, if preferred. Hosts were very kind, informative, and responsive! We would stay here again if we were to come back to Altea: it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the slow life in between outings!

The view from this townhouse is spectacular! It is conveniently located near the cathedral and plaza. So many choices of restaurants it was hard to choose. We enjoyed the kitchen for our morning meals & coffee. Having laundry facilities was a blessing. The owner was very patient and communicative. We will not hesitate to reserve this beautiful home for our next visit to Altea. Gracias!

Simply Amazing!

It was our first time traveling to Spain, and the host (and her son) were extremely helpful in our planning. The apartment is absolutely fabulous with amazing views of the sea and the location is in the heart of the old city. What a wonderful experience overall and I definitely plan to be back.

Excellent property would highly recommend

I would highly recommend this property to anyone. It is in an ideal location near restaurants/ bars and close to the beach. I first stayed in this property back in July of this year and I was so impressed that I decided to book to stay again in September!! The owner Suzanne was incredibly helpful and made us feel very welcome. The property was exactly as described. On both occasions the property was kept in immaculate condition. The views from the balcony are beautiful overlooking the sea! This property has got everything you need including an oven, fridge, microwave etc! I'm definitely going to book to stay in this property again in the near future!

Thank you very much for your fantastic review. We had just finished preparing this house for rental and you were actually our first guest. It was therefore very important to us to know that you enjoyed your stay so much, and of course fabulous when you rebooked so quickly for your second visit. Thank you for taking such good care of our home and we look forward to welcoming you again in 2015.

Beautiful house in a stunning setting, perfect!

Altea old town is beautiful - set on a hill top, lovely little boutiques, restaurants and bars. It's a short walk down to the beach and there is a very pretty marina and yacht club where you can use the swimming pool. The house is stunning, exceeded our expectations. The sea view from the balcony off bedroom one is breath taking and the sun rises are beautiful. The house is well equipped, including beach towels, hairdryer, iron etc. which is great when you are trying to keep luggage to a minimum. The house is spotlessly clean and feels very homely, we were even welcomed with a vase of fresh flowers which was a lovely touch. Sue is the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble - even offering to get in some shopping for us so we had provisions on our first morning. Sue was contactable during our stay and was very happy to answer any questions we had about places to visit, public transport etc. I cannot recommend this property highly enough, we had a perfect break away and will be back soon!

I traveled to Altea with two friends and this place was absolutely perfect for our stay. It is spacious, very clean and has everything you could need. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was perfect for sleeping. This wonderful home is located in the heart of old town and has the most incredible views we could have ever asked for. We loved walking the beautiful streets, exploring the old town square with local vendors, the variety of restaurants and each little artistic surprise waiting around each corner. The host was easy to reach and very responsive to all questions. I would absolutely stay here again!

Very spacious and perfectly located apartment in the old town of Altea. Splendid sea view. Suzanne was very caring and informative before and throughout our stay.

Response from VrboOwner on 3 Apr 2020

Simply WONDERFUL!!! And the view...........

Fantastic! The townhouse is charming and cozy, located smack in the middle of the "old" Altea...you feel transported to another time. The views from the house look out to the sea and are spectacular. We loved sitting on the terrace at all hours, whether breakfast, lunch or sipping rioja at sunset. Very well-located near all that Altea has to offer. Suzanne, our host, was super-helpful at every juncture. One caveat: the area is very hilly, so be prepared. :) Would recommend this place with NO hestitation. (oh, we recommend Xef Pirata, a delightful, super-charming Tapas restaurant just a short walk from the townhouse)

Just the perfect house in beautiful Altea

Perfect house, fabulous views, enchanting streets of beautiful Altea. I feel very privileged to have stayed in Sue and Pete’s gorgeous house overlooking the turquoise sea of Altea bay but set in the whitewashed cobbled streets of the old town. The house is a perfect blend of comfort with traditional features alongside contemporary touches. Over the course of my stay each room was special at different times of the day - I loved morning coffee sat in the sun drenched kitchen balcony window, lunch on the top floor terrace marvelling at the views and the cool quiet of the lounge in the evenings. Sue and Pete are wonderful hosts and couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. This is a truly special house and I will be returning!

Authentic and homely charme

We enjoyed the stay in this lovely house so much! Even though we were three generations, we had room and space to both be together in the house, and also to be more private, it was all up to ourselves how much we wanted to be social, which was very relaxing. It felt like a real home. The house is really beautifully furnished and equipped, nice and clean and well-maintained, and we had everything we needed there. The owners are also lovely, and provided everything we could wish for during our stay. The customer service could not have been better! It was also a joy to be able to just step up a few steps, and find ourselves outside the splendid church at the top of Altea, with its beutiful view of the bay, the mountain in Albir and the cliff of Calpe, and with the restaurants all around. Or walk down some picturesque streets to the more modern center of Altea. We took walks along the beach and visited the nearby village of Albir and went for walks in the mountains there, and we also took the bus to Benidorm one day. Altea is the perfect center of numerous places to go on this coast. I recommend this beautifully located house to everybody!

Lovely house and great place for a holiday

As others have said the pictures don't do the house justice. It's a beautiful place to stay and really nicely appointed. Myself, my wife and two teenage daughters stayed here in August and all thoroughly enjoyed the week. The beds are extremely comfortable and there's a lovely view to wake to from the double room on the top floor. The living room is a lovely place to spend time and the kitchen is well equipped and clean. You are very close to the old town with a huge choice of restaurants to eat at and a number of bars to spend the evenings in if you so choose. The beach is a ten minute walk and never crowded. The beach is stoney but I'd much rather have that than fighting for space. The sea is clean and lovely to swim in. As a base for a very relaxing holiday this house cannot be beaten and Sue and Pete are great hosts. Hope to see you again.

EXQUISITE TOWN HOUSE

This was our 3rd time, in one of Sue, and Petes properties. They never fail to amaze me. It is fitted out with everything you need, and more. Comfortable lounge, and bedrooms, with very nice bedding. Kitchen has everthing you need. This house has views to die for. We sat on the top balcony, where you get the sun till early afternoon. You are a few steps away from the square, with plenty of good restaurants. We will definitely be going back.
