A beautiful, quiet and cozy place. Perfect location between the stream and the lake. We loved our time there. It was especially nice to have access to paddle boards and the treats we found upon arrival were a lovely touch.
We really enjoyed our stay at the bean cottage. Cozy, and charming and well-equipped with kayaks etc to get out on great pond. Convenient to days and the dam there which is a bit of a spot for fishing. Michelle very responsive.
This was our second year at the cottage. It’s a great location, walkable to town and access to the stream and lakeside. The added kayaks and fire pit are a huge bonus. We loved our stay!

We're so happy you chose to stay with us again this year! Thank you and hopefully we will see you again next year :)
This small cabin was perfect for my single person fishing trip. Great access to the water with a spot to dock my boat and leave my trailer.
Nothing fancy, but very quiet and relaxing
This cabin was a great place to spend a week with our family. The location is perfect, with both lake and stream access. The setting is amazing and the cabin was quite comfortable for our family of six. We loved having access to the paddleboards and kayaks as well. Michelle was a wonderful and responsive host.
We can't wait to go back!
The cottage was great. Great location right near town - you could walk or kayak easily. We made use of the docks, fire pit, grill, kayaks, paddle boards and had an amazing time. It’s also always nice to have a little AC as an added luxury.

We’re happy you were able to take advantage of everything the cottage and Belgrade has to offer!
This is a great rustic cabin in a wonderful location. Truly a beautiful spot with choice of the stream or lake. Great swimming area and having a canoe and kayaks available was perfect for exploring the stream and lake. The kitchen has everything you need and the updated bathroom is spacious. Loved that we could walk to town. Host was fantastic with communication and everything was as listed!
We enjoyed our time on Great Pond.
We didn't need anything fancy. Just a place on Great Pond, in the area near the marina, that would be comfortable while we spent time with extended family. This little place was perfect. I would definitely recommend it for a couple or young family.
The cabin is a quiet place. It was nice to be able to kayak and walk to town.
Recommendation if you are thinking of renting a boat, do it ahead of time cause they were all reserved at the marina when we tried on our first day there.
Great hiking trails near by.
We had a good time and would rent there again
It was a delight, with beautiful Great Pond and inlet close by. The house itself is rustic, spacious and comfortable. Its L.L. Bean history added to the charm. The space heaters were welcome. The location, on a spit of land near the end of a long dirt road, but convenient to the Belgrade Lakes town center, was most enjoyable. We'd definitely recommend it.
Rustic cabin in a wonderful setting. Built by L.L. Bean when he was a young man, this is an historic cabin with a modern bathroom. We are fishermen and they have great docks available. We love the quiet, peaceful setting of this little cabin in the forest. Great hosts and great get a way. Fishing is good for smallmouth bass and Northern pike in this lake.
Cabin was traditional Maine style. Bed and sheets very comfy. Kitchen had everything needed. Loved the kayaks!! Views on both docks were nice. BONUS Lovely boat parade And could kayak to town, get out and shop or get ice cream. Thank you for sharing your cabin!!

Lovely property with benefit of water access and a fire pit area. Perfect for people seeking a quiet getaway. We saw loons, turtles, a moose, eagles and a mink. Tall trees, sunshine and breezes-enjoyed swimming and kayaking.. Communication was excellent with Michelle.

True Maine knotty pine cottage with everything you could need.
Melissa & Debbie are wonderful hosts. We had an issue when we first arrived and texted them. Within a short time Debbie was at our door with what we needed & a bottle of wine 😊

We were so happy we were able to resolve the issue right away. We hope you see you again in the future!
Small cabin was built by L.L. Bean and is rustic but has modern plumbing and updated bathroom. We are fishermen and rented cabin because of the nice dock situation. There is one dock on the main lake but another one in back of the cabin on the small stream that flows out of the lake and this is very protected from wind and weather. Two kayaks, canoe, and PB's available at site. Perfect, and launch is close to bring boat around to dock. This was our second stay and we loved it and will be back.
Hosts are wonderful and very accommodating.
The cottage is as advertised. Loved having a dock on both the lake side and stream side. Agree with the review that said bed and sheets were comfy. Disagree that the furniture should be updated. It’s camp, it’s charming, and it’s comfy. Loved listening to the loons, campfire, hammock, swim float, kayaks, and canoe. Location is ideal. Close to store and ice cream by foot, boat, or car. Cannot wait to return.

Thank you so much for taking the time to give us a review. We are so glad you enjoyed your time and look forward to having you again!
This cottage was built by L.L. Bean and is rustic but updated, with retro kitchen and new bathroom. Lovely location on peninsula between stream and lake. If you are a fisherman there is a great dock at the boathouse on the stream side and a lakeside dock also. Site is fully shaded so we did not need AC in mid-July but there is a small AC unit in the living room if needed. Birds singing every morning, loons on the lake & great fishing, so all you need to be happy! Rea

Beautiful location! Close to the village, the rustic and well equipped cabin, situated among the majestic tall pines is all our family needs to enjoy our lake vacation. Love both the front and back docks for sitting on to relax. Our kids enjoyed jumping in the water and fishing by the front dock and using the provided SUP and kayaks on the back dock. We got a small boat with no problem docking. Communication with Michelle is good and she tried to resolve issues with her best effort.
Maybe better window screens in the bathroom to stop the bugs flying in at night. Minor issue.
Definitely coming back next summer!
Classic Maine camp, with an interesting history, in a great location. Water access on both sides of the property was a big plus. Comfortable, cozy, and quiet.
