Newly finished 1800 sq. ft. cabin on 2 acers in the remote hills of the Rocky Mountains. Open floor plan with vaulted ceilings and large windows and skylights. Beautiful mountain views and endless outdoor activities right outside the door. National forest is less than a 5 minute drive. All less than an hours drive; Eleven Mile and Antero Reservoir, Kenosha Pass, Breckenridge Ski Resort and much more! Great for entertaining groups or families! You can even pitch a tent if you'd like! 2 bedrooms, 1 king and 1 double. Large 3rd room with portable memory foam queen bed with frame. 1 bathroom with shower and tub.

This was the perfect family getaway. Our 3 year old loved exploring, playing with the soccer ball, and watching movies. We enjoyed the peacefulness and the hot tub. It was lovely having accommodations for our 4 month old. It was a memorable trip!

Amazing property

It was an amazing home and so pretty inside and out. Only issue I had is I didn’t realize just how remote the property actually was. It was 20-25 mins from main roads and that did add to our daily miles. We wanted to see as much of compassion we could.

Family time in Como, CO

The house was beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. The location was isolated but still very convenient to the nearest town and sightseeing. I would definitely stay here again. The communication with owner was as good as I have ever experienced.

Secluded and comfortable

We had a wonderful stay at RD3! Comfortable accommodations and great communication from the host. Neighbors are nearby, but overall neighborhood is so vast and remote that you forget you aren't entirely alone out there. The map app I used got me there with correct turns, mileage, etc., but some of the road names didn't entirely match or changed names as the roads turned. So an actual old-school printout of the map might be helpful for guests to bring along, since cell service is very spotty once you leave the main highways. No complaints, though. RD3 is worth every penny and every wrong turn!

Home away from Home!!

This cabin was the cleanest and most beautiful place we have ever stayed. Owner was easy to get on the phone and very helpful. We felt at home as soon as we walked in. We will be staying again. This is bigger than it looks. I highly recommend staying at the cabin. We are letting family and friends know about this cabin. The cabin was decorated for Christmas on the inside. We loved it. Beautiful Nature

Is a very nice cabin with one main bedroom and one kid's bedroom with very nice sized kitchen and living room. Property owner was easy to communicate with should any problems arise. Additions being added to which makes us excited to return once completed.

Excellent!!

The home was beautiful! Kendra left cute little notes too which was nice. Great views!! The only issue we had was the lockbox was incorrect and we didn't have service so it was hard to get help. However, it wasn't Kendra's fault at all! The vrbo app had made a mistake, which was frustrating due to the lack of the apps efficiency but again, it wasnt on Kendra at all! Just make sure to confirm the lockbox code before you leave so you can get in. Once you're inside, there's wifi you can connect too :) The home also had some fun video games which was entertaining :)

Mountain Get-a-way

This cabin is close to a couple of awesome fly-fishing destinations and to Fairplay (for supplies and the occasional dinner out), but far enough away to be relaxing and remote. We enjoyed our time. Thanks!

Beautiful Cabin with Peaceful Surroundings

This cabin is amazing. The views are beautiful and there is very little traffic or noise from anything other than nature. This is an ideal place for a relaxing vacation. We made use of the fire pit and the hammock. The cabin itself is well equipped and had everything that we needed to cook and make ourselves at home. There was even an Xbox. Kendra is a wonderful host and gave us plenty of ideas of places to see and things to do near the cabin. I would highly recommend this cabin if you are looking for a peaceful vacation in the mountains of Colorado.

Perfect seclusion

Very secluded property, yet provides everything you could need! Beautifully decorated throughout, immaculately clean & organized, nature and wild animals just outside the door, and Kendra was the perfect host! If you are looking for a quiet Colorado getaway, very reasonably priced with a wonderful, helpful host, then this is the place for you!

My name is Kendra, my husband Josh and I have 3 kids, 16, 12, and 7. We both grew up in Colorado and currently live in Golden Co. Josh is the owner of an HVAC, Dwight's Comfort Air, also in Golden Co. We are delighted you are considering staying at RD3 and promise you won't be disappointed! It is absolutely one of our families favorite places to be! We are new to Vrbo, but have been listed on Airbnb for a short time now. Check us out there for some reviews. Why they chose this property

In 2015 we purchased this land to build a family hunting/fishing cabin. We begin building what
turned out to be a 8,000 ft "cabin". Much larger than planned, by hey, go big right? We currently have about 1800sq ft finished and locked off from the rest of the building. The construction on this portion was just completed in August of 2018. So
this is a very new cabin. The rest of the building will eventually have a "honey moon loft" sleeping 2-4, and a large game room with bunk beds sleeping 6-8. Once it is all complete we will be able to host parties and events, or just rent out the cabin and loft separately, with an option to add the game room. We cannot be there as much as we'd like, so we thought we would share its beauty and peacefulness with others!

What makes this property unique

Close to so many outdoor activities. You can literally just walk right out the front door to hiking and biking. Or if you want to hunker down and escape the world for a while it is perfect for that too. The star gazing at night is something indescribable. The Milky Way is situated right above the property. Grab some marshmallows, a warm drink and sit by the fire with family/friends. Or heck, pitch a tent if you'd like and sleep under the stars!
